Our first trip to PV was amazing! The condo is beautiful & the neighbors friendly and helpful.
"We decided we didn't want to stay on the beach but to explore the town and that's what we did. The condo has a gorgeous view but as others have said, the walk down the hill is on the steep side and the road uneven, so be forewarned. However, it didn't prevent us from walking into town daily (we caught taxis back which are plentiful & inexpensive). We walked to Costco, the Mercardo (fresh caught fish/shrimp and beef), explored the cemetery, took a water taxi to Yelapa, walked the Malecon and discovered wonderful eateries/shops/bakeries and met lots of nice people. There are several grocery stores (Ley) nearby plus smaller corner markets to choose from.
The condo is beautiful, the bed very comfy, the patio awesome, and the kitchen had everything we could want/need except hot water. The faucet has cold, but no hot. However, there is a dishwasher but I used hot water from the bathroom to wash our dishes. The ice maker didn't work (not a big deal, we bought ice). What we were disappointed with is that the satellite/internet didn't work and we were unable to watch television, especially since it is mentioned as an amenity. We called & emailed the owner immediately about the satellite not working, and several additional times, but no response from her for 2-3 days later only to say she would check on it. That was it. No further communication or explanation from her. That was disappointing. Neighbor told us the Canadian company that provided the service had stopped service to Mexico some time ago. Luckily we brought our laptop and was able to watch videos on it. Plus, the neighbors also shared movies they had and offered the use of a DVD player. It was still an excellent trip and wonderful accomodations!
Note the pool is small and unheated, but not an issue for us. I don't recommend the unit/complex for those with young children or those with physical disabilities. From ground level, the penthouse is only a few flights up, with the pool located several flights down.
Everyone we encountered were friendly and helpful...from taxi drivers to people on the street to the workers in the restaurants. We look forward to our next trip and exploring more of the area. BTW, one of our favorite restaurants was Oceano Azul which is across from McDonalds in the Malecon."

"We came for a vacation stay with our family of 5. The condo was perfect for our family - we walked everywhere and spent countless evening hours on the patio playing cards, watching the fireworks and just taking in the incredible views. The grocery store, Ley, is an easy walk and taxis are cheap and plentiful for lugging groceries back up the hill. Great restaurants nearby and we LOVED Mangos Beach Club and Barracuda, which are right at the bottom of the street. We ventured down to Los Muertos beach a couple of times, but found that our local beach was much less crowded, less vendors, and the food/drink are also less expensive than the areas around the Malecon, as well. Condo is well equipped and very comfortable - having full laundry facilities also helped for our family. Next time, we'll bring carry ons and not pack as much. Our kids spent every afternoon in the pool, which is the perfect size and also has great views. The staff who maintain the building were there working every day and are so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation - we will be back!!"

"This 1 bedroom condo was well maintained, very modern and very cozy for our family of four. The building is located in the Zona Romantica area of Puerto Vallarta. It was walking distance from the beach, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc... The building is well secured with 24 hour security. It has a beautiful rooftop infinity pool with all the amenities you will need, like a grill, jacuzzi, lounge area, and tables. I gave it 5 stars because my family and I loved this condominium complex, and we will definitely be back to stay in the near future. The landlord Sarah was very quick and very responsive to my e-mails, questions and concerns. The house keeper Mariana was very friendly and kept the unit clean and comfortable for us."

Authentic Mexican flat in heart of Old City Vallarta
"My husband and I rented this flat right on the Malecon in Old City. It put us right in the heart of things in Puerto Vallarta with easy walking to the beaches, shops, Malecon and restaurants. The pictures of the flat perfectly depict what you will have when you arrive. We loved it and have repeatedly let Michel know who much we appreciated him sharing his home with us."
