  • This home was just right for us!

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. This home was comfortable, clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated and furnished. The view from the deck was spectacular. We watched the sunset and then fireworks almost every evening from the hotels up north. There is a pool and hot tub shared by 4 other condo owners. They were nice folks. The extra bedroom would be good for kids, but we didn't have ours along this time. The owner was attentive and easy to contact with questions. We rented a car and parking on the street was easy and having a car was helpful since the short distance to the beach was quite steep. However; I recommend a good map of the town, since there are many one way streets and dead ends. We did walk it often, but used the car to go North and South along the coast exploring. The Malecon (which means seawall) boardwalk was really fun for eating, shopping, and and strolling by the ocean. We took a tour out to the Marietta Islands and snorkled, and saw whales. It was a wonderful vacation!"

  • Sad to leave...

"I travelled to Puerto Vallarta for two weeks, on my own, to study Spanish at the nearby Solexico school. This apartment was perfect for me. Though I only needed one bedroom, the extra expense was absolutely worth the feeling of autonomy and security. As mentioned in earlier reviews, the complex is small - shared with 4 other units and the neighbours were friendly and inclusive. I went to learn Spanish and I left with new friends - they were often gathered around the pool and I was invited to dinner a couple of times by this lovely group of people. If you are looking for solitude around the pool, this may not be your best choice - but if you like the company of friendly, warm and inviting folks, you'll be very happy you came. The caretaker and cleaning woman kept the place in perfect condition. The pictures show the unit like it is. The stairs up are pretty steep, but I enjoyed the walk to and from the school, Basillio Badillo and the Malecon. Those with bad knees might not. All my communications with Philip were seamless - not a problem to be had anywhere along the way. I can't recommend this apartment enough."

  • Looking for the best two bedroom oceanfront condo in Old Town Puerto Vallarta?

"Lucky for us, the owner is willing to share. From the moment you enter this beautiful condo, see the wide ocean view and hear the waves, your mind shifts to relaxed, vacation mode. We were here in September with our kids - ages 4 and 6. At this age, they did not miss much in school and the lack of crowds made all activities easy. Although the forecast in September tends to show rain and thunderstorms almost every day, we had beautiful warm summer days every day, with one Thunderstorm and a few light showers - all only at night. Our host loves Puerto Vallarta and wants you to love it too. He provided complete instructions for the condo and lists of good things to do and places and things to eat. We quickly learned that the city buses are always close, efficient and easy to use, whether for shopping destinations or activities. The two most delightful activities we had with the kids were the trip to Boca Tomatlan with water taxi to Las Animas beach and the trip to Aquaventuras Water Park (with dolphins) in Nuevo Vallarta. We easily got to both using city buses (very inexpensive). Because the kids had so much sun and heat at the water park, we took an air conditioned taxi (one of several waiting outside the entrance) on the way home. On the water taxi ride from Boca Tomatlan, the kids were thrilled to see Pelicans diving into the water around us and to visit the crabs, iguanas, dogs and various birds we encountered on the beach at Las Animas. they stayed cool in the water, playing safely a few yards from where we sat and enjoyed a great lunch (first time for shrimp turnovers - very yummy) and drinks. The restaurants have showers for the comfort of their guests. On the way back, the water taxi operators let our kids sit at the front of the boat, where they were close to the front man and safely had the best view. At the Aquaventuras water park - not the other one, which is called "Splash", we and a few other families had this huge place to ourselves. There was a huge area full of watersides and features for small children. A man made river runs around it, with jetted water keeping it flowing under bridges and past interesting features that spray water at you. Life jackets are required for the kids but they loved it and cloud have kept floating down the river for hours more. There were many amazing watersides and our daughter got a picture of a dolphin kissing her. This was a fantastic condo and a wonderful family vacation and we plan to return."
