Family Stay at The Icon
"Our stay at the Icon Vallarta was fantastic. There were 3 couples sharing the 3 bedroom condo and we were totally comfortable with plenty of room and privacy. The pool and beach areas were very well maintained and the beach front bar/ bistro had great service and prices. Also, easy access to downtown PV by city bus or taxi."

"We stayed at this condo for a week during Holy Week and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The main attraction here is the pools. If you have children, this is definitely the place to stay as the pools are heated to different temps to suit any preference and even though they were not zero depth entry, each pool had large platform or cut-out areas (20 x 20 feet at least) where kids could walk and play in the shallower water (varying from a few inches deep to maybe 2 feet deep) without always being held by a parent. This was an amazing bonus for my 4 and 6 year old who want to be more independent in the pool.
The condo pictures were accurate and everything was very nice. The bed was really comfortable, the futon was more comfortable than a pull-out couch, and the kitchen had everything you needed. The hot tub on the balcony was clean, filled quickly and had a nice view. The balcony is deeper than other units in the complex so we definitely did not feel cramped out there and ate almost all of our meals out there enjoying the incredible view.
Mary Ann was great to deal with and was available at a moment's notice. Security deposit returned promptly.
There are lots of friendly condo staff constantly monitoring the pool areas and parking garage so nobody is sneaking in to use the pools, etc. There is someone working the front gate 24 hours a day, too. Felt extremely safe. This property is not a spring break party place if that is what you are looking for. We were not which made this place perfect.
The beach here was calm in the mornings (we did some stand up paddleboarding on two mornings) and you can see dolphins swimming about. It did get deep rather quickly, though. We took a day trip to the south side of PV and caught a boat out of Boca de Tomatlon (park in town for 50 pesos, round trip boat ride to the beach for 200 pesos) to a tamer, absolutely gorgeous beach (Colomitos Beach) for some snorkeling. Paid an extra 350 pesos to have the guy take us over to Los Arcos before going back to our car. Considering what you pay per person for tours out to those spots, using a local is definitely worth it.
If you're cooking on your own, there is a Costco and a WalMart within a 3 minute drive. The grill on the balcony was new as well and easy to use. The best place to eat in the area is called Sonora's (look it up on Yelp) and is on the right side of the road on the way to Costco. It is a butcher shop by day and the food is outstanding."

"We recently returned from our vacation in Puerto Vallarta and had a wonderful time staying at this condo. Even before we arrived, Carolyn was so helpful in answering our questions and concerns. When we arrived, Marcos – a charming person – explained everything and ensured that we were comfortable with how everything worked. Having WiFi in the unit was very convenient for us. Regarding the beach, we liked sitting under the palapas in front of Peninsula where we could either swim in the ocean or just relax with our toes in the sand. The heated pool is the largest one I’ve ever seen. In short we had a fabulous time and miss watching the sunsets from the unit’s balcony. Thank you again, Carolyn."
