  • Icon Vallarta at it's best!

"We've stayed at Icon Vallarta before, but this unit tops them all. Nicely situated on the 11th floor in Building 3, there is a direct front line view of the bay. Because of their positioning, the other buildings in the complex have more wind/breeze, however, this location is clearly the best. Nicely appointed, comfortable beds and great service from Marco made our stay memorable. The owners were great to work with and we highly recommend this unit."

"We stayed at this rental for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years. The condo was amazing. Our group had 6 of us. There was plenty of room in the beautiful 3 bedroom condo. The condo has amazing views with the wrap around deck. We were able to see lots of dolphins and some whales right from the balcony every morning. The only 2 negative things I would have to say one being that there is no volleyball net on the beach to have a fun game of beach volleyball. The second is that there is no fun pool....meaning you are not allowed to play pass with any sort of ball from football/volleyball/blow-up beach ball.....we were always told to stop....so that was disappointing.....because there is so many pools on the property one pool should be designated for it. We have 2 teenage kids who are very active it would have made the time pass faster and they wouldn't have gotten bored. The owner and management company are very good to deal with. We will be back again in the future, and would recommend this property to anyone."

  • Wow! This condo is paradise

"The Peninsula consists of three towers right on the beach. We especially love Tower 3 because it gets the sun first and it appears to be closer to the beach. We have stayed at the Peninsula previously and we knew that the location, the quality of the site and all the amenities are perfect for a fabulous vacation. Andre's condo 1B on the second floor is the perfect place to have a vacation. First of all the condo is 2250 sq. ft with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a deck overlooking the pool and ocean, a deck off the back bedrooms, a huge island with all of the necessary pots, dishes etc and a cooktop stove. Everything you need to feel at home. Why would you ever consider staying at an all inclusive resort where you live in your hotel room for 2 weeks? This is so much better. Our mornings started off with breakfast on the deck, gazing out at the ocean, often seeing dolphins swimming by. One day we were blessed when a pod of whales were in the bay. This condo has everything: boogie boards, balls, plenty of pool towels, beach cooler for drinks and sandwiches for an enjoyable day by the pool or on the beach. There is a Sorianna nearby where you can stock up on groceries and drinks. A cab back to the condo is about 40 pesos (4 dollars). Tower 3 has an exercise room with lots of equipment and a spa where you enjoy massages for about $40 which is way cheaper than anywhere else. The lobby is beautifully appointed and had a beautiful Christmas tree when we were there. There is always a staff member available to assist you with excursion bookings or dinner reservations. They also ensure that the security is maintained. There is also a security post on the entrance road just past the plaza which is manned 24/7. If you arrive is a taxi you will have to provide the tower and your room number. The Peninsula Plaza which about 300 yards behind the Towers has at least 3 banks and there are numerous restaurants of which I recommend de Santos and there is one that specializes in breakfast and lunch dishes. There is also a Starbucks for the coffee fanatics. Getting to Centro (downtown) is quick and convenient either by taking the "chiropractic special" (the bus) for about 75 cents or in a taxi for 80 pesos (8 dollars). Either method will be an adventure as there is much to see. Puerto Vallarta is a great place for a holiday. I recommend staying at the Peninsula Vallarta in Andre's condo VRBO 322810. You will be so happy that you did."

  • Idyllic Apartment & Setting

"As the photos indicate, the apartment is stunning. Within a beautifully designed complex of three buildings, this apartment is in the center. When we instructed a taxi driver where to go, he said “oh, the nicest one.” The building is directly on the beach. The lobby is an open design, and you can see the ocean as soon as you step in. Marty’s apartment is the most ideal location within the center building. The master bedroom provides a view of the ocean and the city lights, while still being entirely private. The balconies are all beautiful, but the primary balcony deserves particular mention. We planned our days in PV around where we wanted to be for sunset. As other reviewers have noted, unlike other rentals, Marty furnished the apartment with high end products, which are all well-maintained. The throws on the bed are cashmere, there are flatscreen tvs in every room. The kitchen is fantastic and well-equipped. It is ideal for cooking what you bring back from the nearby supermarket (5-10 minute walk). We used the blender to make smoothies each morning. Marty was consistently in contact, and notably consistently patient. In retrospect, the answers to a few of our questions were fairly self-evident (he has clear labels for the wifi connections), but his emails were friendly, prompt and polite. He provided wonderful recommendations for restaurants and activities. The staff around the complex are always helpful and never intrusive. When in the pool we were occasionally politely asked if we wanted to purchase a drink (and have it brought out to us). The staff by the entrance called us taxis, which always came within minutes. I was worried about getting a taxi the morning we left, since we needed to get to the airport by 5 am. I told the staff the afternoon before, and they had a taxi waiting for us at 4:30 am. When you can tear yourself away from the apartment, the setting is stunning and the city is a lot of fun. There is parasailing on the beach directly behind the complex. As other reviewers have mentioned, there also is a marine turtle shelter within view of the balcony. The zoo, botanical garden and boardwalk are all worth visits. It is not a coincidence that so many people who have stayed here return. I intend to be one of them."
