"This comfy condo was perfect for our new year's getaway. Spacious and updated with new appliances, laundry and internet TV, we had all the comforts of home and a beautiful view of PV below us.
10-12 minute walk down was easy to do and also it was reasonable to hail a taxi on the main road too. The walk up is a little more strenuous but after eating mole and tacos at every meal you'll be glad for the extra steps!
Owner is easy to work with and incredibly responsive. Recommend for a long weekend or even long term rental!"

"I arrived on a Tuesday with 3 other friends. Jesus, the caretaker of the house, greeted us warmly and remained at service the entire time. If we had a question or need, he was fully capable of providing a solution. The supporting staff, the cooks, maid and watchman at night, were also very splendid. We truly did not have a need unmet during our stay. I highly recommend staying at Marea Alta and would certainly stay again."

"I can't say enough great things about the home itself and the staff at Villa Lucia! My fiance and I stayed at the home with 6 other friends for a week and everything went off without a hitch. It's sometimes easy to overlook the hard work the staff does, but both Lety and Mario did a fantastic job keeping the house clean and in order. I don't think either of them speak much English, but I am fluent in Spanish so I had no trouble communicating with them. However, none of our friends speak Spanish and they never mentioned having any trouble speaking with Lety or Mario.
The home itself is beautiful and sits high on the hill overlooking the entire bay. You have amazing views from every bedroom and living space in the home. It's about a 15 minute walk down to the main part of Zona Romantica, but going uphill will probably take a bit longer (and will be more challenging). My friends and I never tried to walk back up the hill (too many margaritas!), but cabs are always easy to find and were generally about 40-60 pesos from Zona Romantica. The pool is heated (and deep) which is perfect if you're in the mood for a bit of night swimming. Each bedroom also has its own A/C unit which was nice to have for those unaccustomed to the warm nights. My only complaint is that the WiFi does not work very well in one of the upstairs bedrooms so that may be something the property managers may want to look into.
We opted to have Chef Leo prepare a few meals (mostly dinners and daily breakfasts) and he was excellent! His food was delicious and beautifully presented. The highlight of our week was when he prepared a surf and turf meal of filet mignon and lobster tails! He worked with me at the beginning of the week to develop a menu for the week. He was always extremely professional, but at the same time very personable. He even offered to drive my friends and I to the airport when we were having trouble finding a taxi on our own. His company is PV Fresh Chefs and I would highly recommend them!
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, spacious home with spectacular views and wonderful staff! The property management company was responsive and easy to work with. William, the property's concierge, is hysterical, but also very helpful! He arranged for our group to have in-home massages during our stay, but was never too pushy about trying to sell us on other activities.
We hope we can come back to Villa Lucia soon! Thank you for an amazing trip!"

"This was our second time staying here after 4 years. It has only gotten better!
This condo is located above Playa Los Muertos and is within a short walking distance (including about 260 stairs) to that great beach and old Puerto Vallarta.
The condo is beautifully appointed with traditional Mexican folk art and the conveniences of home with table placements, cooking dishes, dishwasher, flatscreen TV, washer/dryer and sound system.
Stunning views afford you the option to hangout on the spacious balcony or by the common area pool. Our extended family did all three each day. We chose to beach-go mid morning till 4pm at the Mahi Beach restaurant. They had great beach lounge chairs and over the top service staff who rearranged your umbrella for shade, watered down the hot sand around your chairs and kept the drinks and food coming at your desired speed. Then we headed for the malecon and centro shops. We'd return up the numerous stairs to the condo for a swim in the pool and then a stunning sunset from condo balcony.
What's not to like with such a set up!"
