  • Absolutely Perfect!

"This condo is stunning in every way - furnishings, views, location, it has it all! This unit is extremely well maintained. I think we have been spoiled for staying anywhere else after a week here! The owners have thought of everything, we couldn't think of anything that wasn't provided. Marlene wasn't kidding when she said we only needed to bring our clothes and personal toiletries! Everything else was already there - right down to binoculars, sunscreen, chip clips, extra thick bath and beach towels, cooler bags, shampoo, hand soap, and so much more! The beds and linens were wonderful, and the building is very quiet. The two large bedrooms are quite luxurious, and both have their own balconies facing the mountainside. The 3rd bedroom is a bit small and has a frosted glass door that faces the kitchen - it was fine for one person and is still quite lovely with its own ensuite bathroom, but a couple might feel a bit cramped in here and/or might feel uncomfortable about not having as much privacy. The glass doorwalls open up across the entire front of the unit. It's incredible, and we left them wide open the entire week. There are no bugs, and six floors up, safety was not a concern. There is no direct sun coming in at any point, and the ocean breeze keeps everything nice and cool. We only used the air conditioning in the bedrooms, and instead enjoyed the open air and multiple ceiling fans in the kitchen and living areas. The grounds and gardens at Molino de Agua are beautifully cared for. Everything was spotless and the staff are very friendly. The security personnel do a great job and we felt a little like celebrities when we noticed people's curiosity about what was "behind the gate". This is clearly the premier property in this area. We loved having the Malecon right at our gate. It was so entertaining to people watch and so convenient to have restaurants and shopping just a few steps away! We especially liked Daiquiri Dick's (pesto chicken penne pasta), The Blue Shrimp (coconut shrimp), and Serrano's (arrachera steak quesadillas). Pass on the pizza from Pinochio's, the little place just the other side of the river. We walked up and down the Malecon every morning, enjoying the ocean views, sculpture art, and bustling pedestrians. One thing that really surprised us - there are a LOT of dogs. They aren't a problem, it was just unusual compared to other vacation destinations. What a wonderful week - we hope to return!"

  • OMG - That was the reaction!

"I don't even know where to start with this review, that's how good it was! We were a group of 5 young guys (early 30s) who were looking for a relaxing, fun and pampered vacation... WE GOT IT. We started off with a private VIP pickup from the airport with a well deserved Cerveza and then it got amazingly better once we arrived to the property. Up the elevator we go and that pool... pictures don't do it justice, it truly is amazing. Walk into the condo and it looks just like the pictures except feels much larger, 5 adults and we never once felt crowded. Alfredo the Property Manager went above and beyond to organize all the details and a private chef for us, after all we were there to vacation and not cook; Ariana was a great cook and we ate like Kings. The only 1 thing I wish the kitchen had was an espresso machine, but the coffee machine sufficed and worked overtime for us. We can't forget to mention Eva, the fantastic house cleaner.. she came over a few times during our stay and never once did she make us feel as if we were in her way. Her English is limited but hey... you're in a Spanish speaking country after all :) As for the location; perfect! 50 pesos gets you from downtown to the condo. Walk straight down to the beach via the path directly across the highway from the property and you’re at the famous Blue Chairs resort (right on the ocean), enjoy the hike back up the hill, she’s a steep one. If you’ve never been to Puerto Vallarta this is a great place to be, the beach is full of amazing restaurants and if you like a little dancing and partying at night, the downtown offers that too. I have to say, if you go out late on the town, the street tacos at Super Mendozas Taco (I wish I could tell you the exact location they are) are the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life, find it, try it. I CANNOT say anything bad about this property at all, it's exactly what you need for a relaxing and pampering vacation, the owner and Alfredo will make sure that everything is just right for you and your vacation. Try this place out.. worth it! Trust me..."

  • All you could ask for and more!

"We just returned from a wonderful week at Molino de Agua 807. It couldn't have been nicer. Very spacious, beautiful furnishings with comfort in mind. Our favorite area was the open air patio set up as a conversation area with two rattan love seat sofas and a matching chair with lots of pillows. This is where we met for coffee in the mornings and cocktails at Sunset. I noticed many of the other units had lounge chairs instead which would not have been as conducive for entertaining and engaging in conversation. And the views and sound of the surf are just incredible from this 8th floor unit. We enjoyed the pool with swim up bar and the resort staff were all very friendly. All in all Molino De Augua is very well run and secure. The owner Dawn is a great communicator and easy to work with. We will be back!"

  • Excellent!

"We had an amazing stay! I went down on a three week girls trip to see old friends and reconnect with the city. The condo was perfect. We really couldn't have asked for more! Joe made the booking and payment incredibly easy and convenient. Do keep in mind if you are CDN, the price scale is calculated in USD. The condo is spacious and well laid out. There are two and a half bathrooms so you don't have to share the same bathroom which is nice. The building is quiet, private and perfectly maintained. The suite was clean and well stocked. It was a great home base. We took our own personal electronic devices so we didn't need to use the computer, but the wireless connection did the trick for our phones, and laptops (as it was a bit of a working holiday for me). There is also wifi at the pool. The entertainment room is set up with more Canadian and American cable than you can watch in a vacation, but it was great for those quiet nights staying in! Wonderful perk. Anything that we needed, Joe and his property manager Jerry, were a quick phone call or email away. They were gracious and attentive throughout our entire stay. I lived in Old Town after college and this location for vacation is unbeatable. You are close to anything and everything that you need within walking distance. If the rain pops up, you are a 40peso cab ride to the malecon and if diving is your thing, and you set out from the marina, 100-130pesos will do the trick. The buses are easy and inexpensive to access as well. The pool got lots of sunshine while I was there. From about 9am-5pm there was no shortage of beaming sunlight! The pool is clean, well maintained and wonderful. There is also a nightly security guard on hand if you are concerned about safety. The building is gated and locked at all times. I have spent most of my 20s, and a great deal of my 30s travelling, and in my opinion this is one of the safest most welcoming locations you could possibly choose! We will absolutely be back! Thank you Joe and Jerry!"
