"This condo is stunning in every way - furnishings, views, location, it has it all!
This unit is extremely well maintained. I think we have been spoiled for staying anywhere else after a week here! The owners have thought of everything, we couldn't think of anything that wasn't provided. Marlene wasn't kidding when she said we only needed to bring our clothes and personal toiletries! Everything else was already there - right down to binoculars, sunscreen, chip clips, extra thick bath and beach towels, cooler bags, shampoo, hand soap, and so much more! The beds and linens were wonderful, and the building is very quiet. The two large bedrooms are quite luxurious, and both have their own balconies facing the mountainside. The 3rd bedroom is a bit small and has a frosted glass door that faces the kitchen - it was fine for one person and is still quite lovely with its own ensuite bathroom, but a couple might feel a bit cramped in here and/or might feel uncomfortable about not having as much privacy.
The glass doorwalls open up across the entire front of the unit. It's incredible, and we left them wide open the entire week. There are no bugs, and six floors up, safety was not a concern. There is no direct sun coming in at any point, and the ocean breeze keeps everything nice and cool. We only used the air conditioning in the bedrooms, and instead enjoyed the open air and multiple ceiling fans in the kitchen and living areas.
The grounds and gardens at Molino de Agua are beautifully cared for. Everything was spotless and the staff are very friendly. The security personnel do a great job and we felt a little like celebrities when we noticed people's curiosity about what was "behind the gate". This is clearly the premier property in this area.
We loved having the Malecon right at our gate. It was so entertaining to people watch and so convenient to have restaurants and shopping just a few steps away! We especially liked Daiquiri Dick's (pesto chicken penne pasta), The Blue Shrimp (coconut shrimp), and Serrano's (arrachera steak quesadillas). Pass on the pizza from Pinochio's, the little place just the other side of the river. We walked up and down the Malecon every morning, enjoying the ocean views, sculpture art, and bustling pedestrians. One thing that really surprised us - there are a LOT of dogs. They aren't a problem, it was just unusual compared to other vacation destinations.
What a wonderful week - we hope to return!"
