  • Absolutely wonderful

"My husband and I, and another couple, just returned from our first (hopefully not our last) trip to Casa Ventana. It is gorgeous. There was plenty of room to spread out, a private pool, and it was well appointed (can't think of anything we needed that it didn't have). The bath towels were even thick and soft and no tiny hotel bath soap either. There's no A/C in the living room/kitchen but it really wasn't bad and we sat in there a lot. The bedrooms have A/C and they were ice cold (especially the main floor master). This place doesn't disappoint. It's quiet and relaxing and only a short taxi ride into town. Lette is amazing! She is a wonderful cook, gave great facials and was eager to help make our stay the best. Heck, when she was going to get the groceries for ingredients for our meal that she cooked (awesome), we asked if she might be able to get some tea to make iced tea. "Of course, my dear!" and then wanted to know what type of tea we tea, black tea, etc. She thinks of details! She has a sweet personality and you can tell she loves her job. What a difference that makes! Also, Ruby came every day to clean and did a great job! If I could make one recommendation, it would be to have retractable shade along the west side of the living room. In the middle to late afternoon, the sun beams directly into the living room and couch. We all moved to the north end of the living area and pulled up chairs because 1) it's blinding and 2) it's warm. Of course, the sunset you get every night is gorgeous! We would go back in a second! It was a wonderful experience and we hope to visit Mr. Ekstrom's other properties in the future."

  • Superb Puerto Vallarta vacation rental property

"I would highly recommend this fabulous condominium to anybody that is visiting Puerto Vallarta and doesn't want to stay in a hotel. After all, a hotel has hardly any amenities that you have staying in this beachfront rental property. It should be mentioned that it has been taken care of very well. The décor is perfect. You will feel at home the minute that you step through the door. There are two very comfortable couches and also two comfortable chairs in the living area along with a nice flat screen TV with lots of channels to choose from. Seriously though, you're in PV so limit your TV watching and get out and enjoy. The home has two large bedrooms both with adjoining bathrooms. I really loved the shower in the bathroom off of the front bedroom. The bathroom that is next to the back bedroom can also be accessed from the living room so you don't have to worry about going through a bedroom to get to it. The kitchen is well equipped with all that you may need to cook with although I must admit that we didn't cook at all during the week. Frankly, you don't have to. There are so many restaurants with any type of food that you may wish for within a few minutes walking distance. You can even stop down at the Sea Monkey which is on the first floor by the beach for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just appetizers and a cold drink...perfect. The pool on the 10th floor is spacious with plenty of comfortable reclining deck chairs to spend lazy afternoons or for a quick dip in the morning or evening. There are abundant convenient stores all around for some quick snacks or to stock up on whatever essentials that you may need. The peso was 15 to the dollar last week so your money will go a long way. I almost forgot, I have to mention the nice size ocean front balcony where you can watch beautiful sunsets. Who could ask for more? Ya gotta rent this place and treat it kindly. It is a gem."

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"This condo is stunning in every way - furnishings, views, location, it has it all! This unit is extremely well maintained. I think we have been spoiled for staying anywhere else after a week here! The owners have thought of everything, we couldn't think of anything that wasn't provided. Marlene wasn't kidding when she said we only needed to bring our clothes and personal toiletries! Everything else was already there - right down to binoculars, sunscreen, chip clips, extra thick bath and beach towels, cooler bags, shampoo, hand soap, and so much more! The beds and linens were wonderful, and the building is very quiet. The two large bedrooms are quite luxurious, and both have their own balconies facing the mountainside. The 3rd bedroom is a bit small and has a frosted glass door that faces the kitchen - it was fine for one person and is still quite lovely with its own ensuite bathroom, but a couple might feel a bit cramped in here and/or might feel uncomfortable about not having as much privacy. The glass doorwalls open up across the entire front of the unit. It's incredible, and we left them wide open the entire week. There are no bugs, and six floors up, safety was not a concern. There is no direct sun coming in at any point, and the ocean breeze keeps everything nice and cool. We only used the air conditioning in the bedrooms, and instead enjoyed the open air and multiple ceiling fans in the kitchen and living areas. The grounds and gardens at Molino de Agua are beautifully cared for. Everything was spotless and the staff are very friendly. The security personnel do a great job and we felt a little like celebrities when we noticed people's curiosity about what was "behind the gate". This is clearly the premier property in this area. We loved having the Malecon right at our gate. It was so entertaining to people watch and so convenient to have restaurants and shopping just a few steps away! We especially liked Daiquiri Dick's (pesto chicken penne pasta), The Blue Shrimp (coconut shrimp), and Serrano's (arrachera steak quesadillas). Pass on the pizza from Pinochio's, the little place just the other side of the river. We walked up and down the Malecon every morning, enjoying the ocean views, sculpture art, and bustling pedestrians. One thing that really surprised us - there are a LOT of dogs. They aren't a problem, it was just unusual compared to other vacation destinations. What a wonderful week - we hope to return!"

  • We couldn't have asked for more!

"Bob's place is awesome. The view & location are perfect. It was very upscale and private yet close to everything. Being from Seattle I appreciated that half of terrace was covered so I could relax and not worry about my Pacific Northwest ginger skin. My wife and daughters birthday are a day apart so we always take a trip in April and this is now #1 and will be hard to beat so we'll just have to come back. Bob was super easy to get a hold of and Angel the concierge was there anytime we wanted to book a day trip. Thanks Bob... you have a good thing going here!"
