  • We loved it!

"This house is amazing. It is really much larger than we anticipated. It is situated up in the hills with outstanding views. The pool is a good size and was heated adequately. The house staff did a great job. Chef was truly great. He prepared breakfast and did the shopping for us. His dishes were great! I would recommend this to my friends. If we come back to Puerto Vallarta will definitely try to get this house again."

  • Selva Romantica is a gem!

"The Selva Rpmantica rental was a luxurious place to stay in Puerto Vallartas Zona Romantica. We came to relax and seek adventure. Our home base couldn't be nicer. The infinity pool was refreshing with majestic views of the bay as well as jungle laden mountains. The location was perfect place to access boat tours, the beach, the walks, nightlife etc."

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"This condo is stunning in every way - furnishings, views, location, it has it all! This unit is extremely well maintained. I think we have been spoiled for staying anywhere else after a week here! The owners have thought of everything, we couldn't think of anything that wasn't provided. Marlene wasn't kidding when she said we only needed to bring our clothes and personal toiletries! Everything else was already there - right down to binoculars, sunscreen, chip clips, extra thick bath and beach towels, cooler bags, shampoo, hand soap, and so much more! The beds and linens were wonderful, and the building is very quiet. The two large bedrooms are quite luxurious, and both have their own balconies facing the mountainside. The 3rd bedroom is a bit small and has a frosted glass door that faces the kitchen - it was fine for one person and is still quite lovely with its own ensuite bathroom, but a couple might feel a bit cramped in here and/or might feel uncomfortable about not having as much privacy. The glass doorwalls open up across the entire front of the unit. It's incredible, and we left them wide open the entire week. There are no bugs, and six floors up, safety was not a concern. There is no direct sun coming in at any point, and the ocean breeze keeps everything nice and cool. We only used the air conditioning in the bedrooms, and instead enjoyed the open air and multiple ceiling fans in the kitchen and living areas. The grounds and gardens at Molino de Agua are beautifully cared for. Everything was spotless and the staff are very friendly. The security personnel do a great job and we felt a little like celebrities when we noticed people's curiosity about what was "behind the gate". This is clearly the premier property in this area. We loved having the Malecon right at our gate. It was so entertaining to people watch and so convenient to have restaurants and shopping just a few steps away! We especially liked Daiquiri Dick's (pesto chicken penne pasta), The Blue Shrimp (coconut shrimp), and Serrano's (arrachera steak quesadillas). Pass on the pizza from Pinochio's, the little place just the other side of the river. We walked up and down the Malecon every morning, enjoying the ocean views, sculpture art, and bustling pedestrians. One thing that really surprised us - there are a LOT of dogs. They aren't a problem, it was just unusual compared to other vacation destinations. What a wonderful week - we hope to return!"

  • Puerto Vallarta Paradise

"I have been vacationing in Puerto Vallarta for many years and Casa Ileana is the best place to stay with it's incorporation of Mexican artifacts throughout the home lending to a real Mexican ambiance and it's perfect location to my favorite part of PV. It is set atop of Puerto Vallarta's Old Town and Romantic zone overlooking the city and bay and it's just a short walk to experience the liveliness of the town's quaint shops and restaurants which keep getting better and better. Casa Ileana is a gorgeously architected indoor/outdoor home nestled into the mountain including five beautifully decorated bedrooms. There is plenty of space for everyone with comfortable living quarters and an open living room/kitchen plan for socializing and gathering around the pool. The staff at Casa Ileana managed by the wonderful Cristina is extraordinary. She makes an amazing Huevos Rancheros and new to the menu was a mushroom and spinach omelette. Yum! I can't forget to mention the afternoon bowl of guacamole, accompanied with Margaritas of course. She also coordinated a trip to the Canopy tours for us negotiating the best rate and planned our transportation to the airport. She is efficient and kind and I wanted to take her home with me. Cristina is just lovely! I traveled with my family from London and we were in desperate need of sunshine and relaxation and Casa Ileana never disappoints. The owners and the caretakers of the house always make it special for us. They are extremely accommodating and gracious and our two children (ages 12 and 11) loved staying in this magical home. It's a beautiful place where I have made many beautiful memories and I cannot recommend it enough."
