  • Amazing location.

"This was our 4th trip to PV and our first on Playa Gamelas, all others being in Mismaloya. The condo building is in a fantastic location, it is between two beaches a relatively flat one and a steeper one with more (but still small) waves. Right in front of the condo is a rock outcropping that has excellent snorkeling. The other ends of the beach have rock areas to snorkel as well. The condo restaurant is good. Nothing spectacular, but everything was fine. We ate there one meal every day and did not mind at all. Most dishes are around $6 (80-90 pesos) with seafood dishes running $10 (around 160 pesos). There is a 5 to 7 happy hour where you two for one drink (for mixed drinks, you really got one of the giant sized fish bowl drinks for half price and it is provided in two glasses). The condo itself is very nice. It is on two levels with balconies in the living area and master bedroom. The Master bedroom has an extremely comfortable king size bed. Since it is independently owned, it is stocked with condiments, packaged food etc left over from previous renters. Two issues to note: the internet worked on the balcony and by the pool, and not in the room, and it is not all that fast. Not a problem for us as we only checked email, but something to know. The other is that the bedrooms are up a very narrow twisting staircase. This would be a problem for those with mobility issues, although not one for us. Wendee the owner was a great communicator and answered all our questions. We totally intend to rent again."

  • Wonderful villa

"We stayed at this villa in April with our five middle school aged children. Each bedroom is very private so it might not be ideal for really young kids, but it was great for us. It was very family friendly, the staff was great and the pool and hot tub are amazing. Great location that is a quick and easy cab ride to town. We would definitely stay there again."

  • Nice house...

"We recently stayed at Casa Sueno Tropical.. The house has a spectacular view and beautiful outdoor space.. The pros and cons are as follows: Pros: Lovely outdoor space, great pool. Fabulous view..it is exceptionally beautiful. Comfortable bedrooms. Close to town. Ana, who will do the shopping and cooking .(very good cook). Cons: The house is up a rather steep hill. Not easy to go running, take a walk to town and return.. Not fun to go to beach. We have rented condos many times in PV. The linen closet is usually stocked with towels, extra sheets blankets and pillows. There was absolutely nothing in the closets in this house.. Everything was kept in a locked basement area and only Ana had the key. Over the course of the week I asked for another towel(we had received one) , a blanket and a pillow. On two occasions Ana left without giving me what I asked for... If items were kept in the house it would not have been an issue..Not what you would expect in a “luxury” house. I felt like I was in some third world youth hostel where I received one towel a week.. The kitchen was not great. Small space, old appliances, pots and pans. NO dishwasher.. If you have any intention of cooking for yourself, forget it unless you want to wash dishes. The house was a little tired.. It needed new faucets, kitchen appliances, bigger TV . It is kept extremely clean and well maintained however. The house instruction book was ridiculously inadequate. No information about the TV, cable, lights.. Nothing about beaches in the area, buses… the kind of thing most good rental houses provide. We didn’t exactly know how Ana worked and in e mails before with the owner we received very little information. We were assured there was info in the house, but there wasn’t.. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it...Just be aware of the location and ask a lot of questions before..."

  • Been going to Pv since 97 and this is a great condo for those who want the best of PV

"Been coming to PV since 1997. Over the years I have learned that Conchas Chinas is a perfect area to stay. This area is normally ex-pats (US Citizens) who own a condo in PV. The reason is obvious as to why so many own in this area as its nick-named the Beverly Hills of PV. its on the southern tip of the city and gives great views, it's nice and quiet (compared to normal tourist area's) and very close to the tourist action, less than 5 min taxi into "old town" which has lots of great bars and restaurants. I already knew the location and stayed in other condo's many of times. This condo is no exception to great views, all the things you would want/need such as fast internet, TV, a well stocked kitchen and comfy furniture to lay back and chill. I like these condo's as they provide a mexican feel but with all the amenities we come to love and want while traveling (best of both worlds). Condo was well priced compared to others in the direct area. This condo had more room than many others and a nice layout without ultra cheap furnishing many other condo owners try to use (focus on pictures many condo's have cheap uncomfortable furniture which you over look in pic's but when you are staying there becomes very important). Thank you for making it feel like a home away from home. Pool and beach plus good food. The pool is covered as its right outside the balcony. This property has a unique option many are not aware of. There are stairs leading from the pool down to the road which makes it a quick two minutes to Lindo Mar. Lindo mar has a restaurant right on the ocean. I do mean ON THE OCEAN. Plus a sandy beach area great for swimming and snorkeling (as it has rocks). the rocks in the near distance creates a great sound that you can also hear up in the condo at night if you keep the windows and doors open. Keep in mind insects are not much of an issue at all and even at night as the breeze and height of the condo building allows you to keep everything open with no worries of something flying in. There is nothing like the sound of the ocean and a great breeze at night to fall asleep too. I hope this review helps fellow travellers, this is my two cents."
