  • A Perfect Vacation Spot

"We just came back from a one week stay at this beautiful beachfront Puerto Vallarta home. The artistic and beautiful architecture of the villa itself is wonderfully maintained and impeccably clean. The pool and uncrowded beach combined for an ongoing and wonderful playground that was accessible, attractive, and welcomed all ages. Staff: The results of their efforts were obvious, though they remained in the background unless summoned. They seemed cheerful, happy in their work, and congenial with each other and with us. There was always a supply of clean, dry linens, and the pool was well maintained. Food: Can't say enough good things! We were bowled over by the variety of dishes that appeared at every meal. Presentation was impressive, and Jose was obviously extremely creative and economical in making leftovers enticing and enjoyable and packing take-along food. And we did appreciate his willingness to accommodate our various tastes and let us be a bit adventurous with some unfamiliar dishes. Advance Preparation: Communications in advance and availability during our stay made it so pleasant and easy to avoid problems and arrange special activities. The detailed arrival instructions were particularly helpful, since we arrived at different times. It was also helpful knowing that we would need taxi service if we didn't have a car. There were always taxis waiting across the street when needed. Surprises: the level of owner and staff efforts; the impressive zoo nearby; the fact that everything was actually as presented in advance--no surprises on accommodations, natural beauty, prices, etc."

  • Serenety, Privacy, Spectacular Views, Comfort, & Swimming Pool - What More Could We Have Asked For?

"My family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) spent 2 weeks at this home in late July/early August. From the moment we entered, we were struck by the beautiful interior decor and spectacular views of the ocean, beaches, and Los Arcos rock formations. Upon our arrival, we enjoyed a great meal that was prepared for us and took a dip in the swimming pool, which is just the right size for us. Our family enjoyed many peaceful hours cooling off in the pool while chatting about our challenges and dreams for the future. Removed from the routines and distractions of everyday life, we grew progressively closer during our time in Puerto Vallarta. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, and the air conditioning kept the rooms cool. We were careful to minimize AC use to save energy, and still remained comfortable throughout our stay. The only minimal setback I can claim is that the internet service is a bit slow, so that the cable television can be unsteady, and the telephone in the unit did not function (due to an unhealthy monopoly on phone service in PV). During the first 10 days of our stay in Puerto Vallarta, we did not have a car and relied on the local buses. This was a great decision, because the buses into town and to southern points (e.g., Mismaloya and the botanical gardens) are very convenient. We enjoyed being with the locals and hearing them chat among themselves. We picked up a rental car late in our vacation and visited a beautiful silver mining village in the mountains (300 year old San Sebastian del Oeste) and a charming beach town (Sayulita). If you are searching for a peaceful and private place to spend with your family or loved ones, then I don't think you will be disappointed with this unit. Our time there will be a cherished memory for my family for many years to come."

  • Good or Excellent? Hummm

"Condo is spotless, kitchen up to date and all utensils are in excellent condition, beds ultra comfortable, view spectacular, beach swimmable when tide is out, quiet 24/7, condo staff very accommodating, large library selection, cabs come sooner than ever expected (usually within 3-5 minutes), water pressure very good, every amenity provided. Our only slight regret was that we could not easily walk to another beach, taverna or property ... the balance or stamina of a mountain goat would be most helpful in conquering the uphill climb. All in all, we would rent again."

  • A wonderful vacation in a great location

"We spent a most enjoyable two weeks here in January 2014. We had stayed in the Puerto Vallarta area before, but this was our first visit to Girasol Sur. The unit was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed PLUS a superb view of the ocean. We enjoyed many morning coffees on the balcony, and many evening sunsets. The photos on VRBO accurately depict the view. But they lack the wonderful soothing sound of the ocean. The Girasol building itself is well maintained. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The bougainvillea and hibiscus everywhere add to the charm. The ocean-side restaurant and bar at Girasol are perfectly acceptable. We enjoyed several evenings there. It is a 15-minute (8 peso) ride on the local bus into Puerto Vallarta. There are many fine restaurants in town, where we enjoyed a number of very good meals. And the bus ride itself is part of the experience. Speaking of the bus, it is also a short ride from Girasol Sur to other lovely spots such as Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan. One additional mention is that there is a Banamex ATM conveniently located in the lobby of the Best Western Suites right next door to Girasol."

South Zone Travel Tips

Finding Great South Zone Vacation Rentals

Puerto Vallarta has a lot to offer to almost anyone, especially if they like to do things outside. With that in mind, South Zone resorts and Puerto Vallarta condos are great choices for vacationers. They're better than cramped motel rooms where you don't have room to spread out and not everyone in your group can be together without being crowded and uncomfortable. A lot of people think that they can't afford Puerto Vallarta condos, but that's often not true. South Zone resorts in that area are generally very affordable, especially when considering all the amenities you can get for the price.

Puerto Vallarta Condos Have a Lot to Offer

Getting a vacation rental condo in Puerto Vallarta can be a great experience. To get the best deal, visit the area during the off-season and book early. Doing those things means that you'll have the chance at the best price and the largest number of Puerto Vallarta condos and South Zone vacation rentals to choose from. A larger selection means you'll be more likely to get what you're really looking for, instead of something that doesn't completely meet your needs. If you have special needs or requests for someone who's traveling with you, be sure to ask about that at the time of booking.

What to See and Do Near South Zone Resorts

Anyone who's staying in Puerto Vallarta condos won't want to stay inside all the time. Even with great amenities, the lure of going outside to explore is too great to ignore. Canopy and Outdoor Adventures and Wildlife Connection are two of the most popular attractions near South Zone vacation rentals. You might also want to check out Unique ATV Tours and Metamorphosis Day Spa for great things to do near the South Zone resorts.
