"My brother and I and our wives rented this condo for 2 weeks in January. We dealt with Steve Nyman by email and the booking process was very smooth. Steve was very good at answering all of our questions and we appreciated his easy-going nature and positive attitude. The condo itself is absolutely beautiful - decorated with a real flair and very inviting and comfortable. Its location in the building is one of the best - high enough to afford a great view and a nice breeze. We were amazed at how quiet the pool and beach were. Often, we felt as if we were the only ones staying there! We made use of the palapa for several lunches and also ordered some food for one evening meal. Jorge and the rest of the staff there were great to deal with. The front desk staff were also excellent and arranged all of the tours that we took. (As an aside we really enjoyed the Rhythm of the Night tour and the whale watching. We felt that the trip to San Sebastien was not as good - too long of a bus ride for a so-so lunch in a very quiet town.) We made use of Steve's recommended list of restaurants and we were not disappointed. They were all amazing. We have stayed at many 4 and 5 star all-inclusives in the past but this experience offers much more. We were able to get into the heart of the old town in 10 minutes on the bus and select from a huge variety of restaurants and other activities. We could then return to the serene atmosphere at the condo and recharge our batteries. Usually we are ready to come home after 2 weeks away but in this case we could definitely have stayed on. Paradise!"Guest: uvilleobees Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: March 4, 2014View listing
"My family and I stayed at Casa Valerie in March, 2014. My husband and I had our wedding there, and it was beautiful. The views from the villa are stunning! The villa's rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff were amazing! They made us feel extra special by helping out with every detail of our wedding, preparing our meals, housekeeping, and any thing else we needed. We look forward to our next visit there!"Guest: Jen Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: September 5, 2014View listing
"I've been coming to PV at least once a year for the last 12 years or so, but I've always stayed in hotels. Never again!!! I loved my stay at Casa Owaissa. The listing description is accurate and the photos, with the exception of some changes to the bedding in the en suite bedroom, show the home exactly as I experienced it. Norma and Memo, as mentioned by others, maintain the property beautifully and discreetly. They were like old friends by the time I left. Garin happened to be in town for a few days, and it was indeed a pleasure meeting him. I especially loved, loved, loved the Casa's pool and not having to get myself up, dressed and down to the pool by 8:00am the way you must at the hotels if you want a chair. And OMG - the views from the casa! One caution - there are many steps to the Casa and they could be challenging to some people. I'm in agreement with the other reviews on how easy it is to walk to town or grab a cab very close to the villa and go almost anywhere near for just $5 dollars American. I mostly walked to town and cabbed it back. I brought my iPad with me (had a better internet connection than my own network at home) and used TripAdvisor to see what was happening and where to go. There are too many great restaurants to name all, but I really liked The Blue Shrimp, Los Muertos Brewing and Sea Monkey. Since I was staying 2 weeks, I brought my own DVDs and CDs and actually used them. I also enjoyed and took advantage of having a fully equipped kitchen. I'd better stop writing because I'm getting homesick for Casa Owaissa! Thank you Norma, Memo, Garin and Lionel for a lovely vacation in wonderful Puerto Vallarta."Guest: Pam Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 28, 2014View listing
"We spent a most enjoyable two weeks here in January 2014. We had stayed in the Puerto Vallarta area before, but this was our first visit to Girasol Sur. The unit was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed PLUS a superb view of the ocean. We enjoyed many morning coffees on the balcony, and many evening sunsets. The photos on VRBO accurately depict the view. But they lack the wonderful soothing sound of the ocean. The Girasol building itself is well maintained. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The bougainvillea and hibiscus everywhere add to the charm. The ocean-side restaurant and bar at Girasol are perfectly acceptable. We enjoyed several evenings there. It is a 15-minute (8 peso) ride on the local bus into Puerto Vallarta. There are many fine restaurants in town, where we enjoyed a number of very good meals. And the bus ride itself is part of the experience. Speaking of the bus, it is also a short ride from Girasol Sur to other lovely spots such as Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan. One additional mention is that there is a Banamex ATM conveniently located in the lobby of the Best Western Suites right next door to Girasol."Guest: Meg and Tony Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: February 6, 2014View listing
South Zone Travel Tips
Finding Great South Zone Vacation Rentals
Puerto Vallarta has a lot to offer to almost anyone, especially if they like to do things outside. With that in mind, South Zone resorts and Puerto Vallarta condos are great choices for vacationers. They're better than cramped motel rooms where you don't have room to spread out and not everyone in your group can be together without being crowded and uncomfortable. A lot of people think that they can't afford Puerto Vallarta condos, but that's often not true. South Zone resorts in that area are generally very affordable, especially when considering all the amenities you can get for the price.
Puerto Vallarta Condos Have a Lot to Offer
Getting a vacation rental condo in Puerto Vallarta can be a great experience. To get the best deal, visit the area during the off-season and book early. Doing those things means that you'll have the chance at the best price and the largest number of Puerto Vallarta condos and South Zone vacation rentals to choose from. A larger selection means you'll be more likely to get what you're really looking for, instead of something that doesn't completely meet your needs. If you have special needs or requests for someone who's traveling with you, be sure to ask about that at the time of booking.
What to See and Do Near South Zone Resorts
Anyone who's staying in Puerto Vallarta condos won't want to stay inside all the time. Even with great amenities, the lure of going outside to explore is too great to ignore. Canopy and Outdoor Adventures and Wildlife Connection are two of the most popular attractions near South Zone vacation rentals. You might also want to check out Unique ATV Tours and Metamorphosis Day Spa for great things to do near the South Zone resorts.
