  • Paradise in PV!

"We just returned from a week's stay at the wonderful Casa Carole and only wish we had many weeks more to spend! Of course Puerto Vallarta is a terrific destination in and of itself. It's tropical locale, the friendliness of the people and the ease of getting there make for a great vacation for most people. But what made our particular trip outstanding was the villa and it's staff of wonderful caretakers. First, the villa. It's huge! Plenty of room for the 9 of us. Rooms tastefully decorated...views of the Pacific from each room. I've been to many VRBO locations and none has been as well cared for and maintained as Villa Carole. Since our moment of arrival the staff made us feel welcome. Maria was in the kitchen already preparing our welcome dinner. Pepe was showing us around the villa giving us the grand tour. Shortly thereafter, he was down by the pool with a pitcher of margaritas and a happy hour assortment of delicious appetizers! All the while, Carmen was quietly making sure our rooms were spotlessly clean. This pattern continued all week as we quickly became accustomed to being totally pampered. Choosing from a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options was a daily treat. The 2 times we did eat out, we wished we hadn't. Maria's meals were that superior! ( The shrimp stuffed with manchego cheese and wrapped in bacon was a favorite). As the week came to an end and we reluctantly had to say goodbye, we all realized that this wonderful staff had truly become a part of our family. Their exemplary service should be commended. As Pepe opened the taxi door for me on that last day, I shook his hand and gave him a big hug. As the cab pulled away, and we were heading to the airport I had to wipe a tear from my eye. Thank you John and Carol for opening up your beautiful home to us. You were a pleasure to deal with and provided us with a week we will never forget. We will certainly not hesitate to come back."

  • Honeymoon in Paradise

"We had such a lovely stay in Casa Blanca. Certainly a once in a lifetime experience, I don't think that we have ever been so relaxed in our lives! When we arrived in PV we stayed at the hotel Posada De Roger, and while the location and the restaurant next door was excellent, the bed (3 in room) were all rock hard. I wouldn't stay there again. We did stay at Casa Tukari the night before we flew out, and I highly recommend it. It was quiet, and the bed was soft and they were so nice! We did as Debbie suggested and got all our supplies including the tequila at the Leys Supermarketo downtown, which was about a 2 mile walk north from Posada De Roger. We were concerned we had bought too many supplies, but the helper at Boca de Tomatlan just got out his wheelbarrow and carted our stuff to the shore to wait for the water taxi. It was not problem off loading as well as there was about 4 people on shore waiting for us at Los Chonchos when we arrived. We did take the hike into Chimo, and enjoyed lunch at Arturos. Be careful on the walk there, its tricky climbing and I wouldnt take kids over the trail. Another day we used their new red sea tandem kayak and had a fantastic lunch at Chimos (there are only 2 thatched roofs in Chimo which is how we found it). We loved our stay there, and would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get off the grid, and just truly relax."

  • A dream come true

"If you are looking for the perfect place to get away from the stresses and strains of modern life then this is place for you. The villa is situated high on a hill overlooking the beach at Mismaloya with the most stunning views and is equiped with everything you might conceivably need for a perfect stay. Carl, the concierge, is readily at hand to deal with any problems and advise on things to do and also tends the beautiful plants in the gardens. The only minor drawback is that, being built into a hill, the villa is on several different levels so there are a lot of stairs to negotiate but this didn't inconvenience the writer of this review who is in his eighties and actually felt fitter after his stay!"
