"Jim and Kathi's Playa Gemalas "posh" condo is the perfect locale to stay while exploring PV. The condo was such a comfort to come home to-everything you need is right there. Wonderful memories are guaranteed when you stay here. We had a minor glitch with the internet when we arrived but with some stellar fine tuning we found the connection, rebooted--and we were online! The view and ocean air was spectacular --the balconies were spacious with native plants to keep it private. If you added a few lounge-like comfy chairs I think I would have been tempted to stay there all day. Everything was very clean, bathrooms had plenty of towels and the kitchenware and appliances worked fine. We met some wonderful friends...and dogs! Some of our favorite things we would recommend if you chose to stay here are: walk the beach to the restaurant next door--the food and service are wonderful, take a hike across the street to see the beautiful real estate and vegetation, ride the bus to town and visit the Saturday Farmers Market (local artisan food, art and cultural vendors), and explore the city beyond the Malecon--we found a fun place to eat overlooking the city of PV on the hill- Cafe Isabela. Thank you Kathi and Jim--we were fortunate to experience Puerta Vallarta in all its' glory from your little slice of heaven!"Guest: Denise W. "The review title really says it all about our this VBRO rental. There is nothing to worry about while staying at this beautiful villa. The location is magnificent too. The Carpenter's are gracious and easy going folk. Booking was smooth and easy. They are easy to contact and can provide a wealth of information to you at your fingertips. Make sure you don't miss out on this resource if this is your first trip to PV. Their staff are superb: Effi's cooking is authentic and very delicious. She made breakfast for us every morning and 2 dinners. You do not want to miss out on her culinary skills. Have her prepare a meal at least once is a must. Tony ("Taxi Tony") who picked us up and dropped us off at airport sure did make our trip a lot easier. He was waiting for us promptly at the airport when we arrived. Tony also drove us to the local Walmart so that we could stock up on a some things before we arrived at the villa. Riding back with him to the airport when it was time to depart was painless and hassle free too. The villa itself is quite beautiful and its views are stunning. The pics on the VBRO web site do not do it justice. The home is very well maintained and cleanly. The pool is the main focal of the home and it was put to good use. Nothing like taking a dip after a night out on the town while the midnight temps are still hovering around the 80s. Watching the sunset from pool was breathtaking too. The kitchen has all modern stainless steel appliances and everything you need to cook should the need arise. Bedrooms, bathrooms, dinning room and living room are all beautifully decorated. You can tell the Carpenter's have put a lot of care and love into their second home. I also want to add the working staff and villas are very pleasant too. We met the night guard Victor and he called a cab for us once. Opened and held the taxi door for my wife; don't see service like that now-n-days. Overall the people of PV are friendly and warm. Often we would take turns speaking in Spanish and English; they could practice their English and us gringos could practice our Spanish. We highly recommend El Campo del Mar and we thank the Carpenter's for allowing us to share in their little piece of heaven."Guest: Anthony C. "I cannot express how beautiful this villa was. Everything in the description is spot on. The views from every room were truly amazing. Every picture I shared would receive a Wow or Incredible response. There were 4 adults, 2 teens, and one eight year old child during our stay and we all have nothing but positive things to say. We were afraid the "teens" were going to be bored in the teen eyes since they are use to staying at resorts which is a whole different atmosphere but they were happy to have Wi-Fi and a quick taxi ride into town and that's all they needed. Guadalupe cooked us some amazing meals that near the end of our vacation we questioned why we were going out to eat some days. I'd like to thank the owner for responding quickly to my numerous questions and for providing us with so much information regarding the Villa and the area. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your Villa and we hope to return in the near future."Guest: Denise B. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 2, 2014View listing
"I've been coming to PV at least once a year for the last 12 years or so, but I've always stayed in hotels. Never again!!! I loved my stay at Casa Owaissa. The listing description is accurate and the photos, with the exception of some changes to the bedding in the en suite bedroom, show the home exactly as I experienced it. Norma and Memo, as mentioned by others, maintain the property beautifully and discreetly. They were like old friends by the time I left. Garin happened to be in town for a few days, and it was indeed a pleasure meeting him. I especially loved, loved, loved the Casa's pool and not having to get myself up, dressed and down to the pool by 8:00am the way you must at the hotels if you want a chair. And OMG - the views from the casa! One caution - there are many steps to the Casa and they could be challenging to some people. I'm in agreement with the other reviews on how easy it is to walk to town or grab a cab very close to the villa and go almost anywhere near for just $5 dollars American. I mostly walked to town and cabbed it back. I brought my iPad with me (had a better internet connection than my own network at home) and used TripAdvisor to see what was happening and where to go. There are too many great restaurants to name all, but I really liked The Blue Shrimp, Los Muertos Brewing and Sea Monkey. Since I was staying 2 weeks, I brought my own DVDs and CDs and actually used them. I also enjoyed and took advantage of having a fully equipped kitchen. I'd better stop writing because I'm getting homesick for Casa Owaissa! Thank you Norma, Memo, Garin and Lionel for a lovely vacation in wonderful Puerto Vallarta."Guest: Pam Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 28, 2014View listing
South Zone Travel Tips
Finding Great South Zone Vacation Rentals
Puerto Vallarta has a lot to offer to almost anyone, especially if they like to do things outside. With that in mind, South Zone resorts and Puerto Vallarta condos are great choices for vacationers. They're better than cramped motel rooms where you don't have room to spread out and not everyone in your group can be together without being crowded and uncomfortable. A lot of people think that they can't afford Puerto Vallarta condos, but that's often not true. South Zone resorts in that area are generally very affordable, especially when considering all the amenities you can get for the price.
Puerto Vallarta Condos Have a Lot to Offer
Getting a vacation rental condo in Puerto Vallarta can be a great experience. To get the best deal, visit the area during the off-season and book early. Doing those things means that you'll have the chance at the best price and the largest number of Puerto Vallarta condos and South Zone vacation rentals to choose from. A larger selection means you'll be more likely to get what you're really looking for, instead of something that doesn't completely meet your needs. If you have special needs or requests for someone who's traveling with you, be sure to ask about that at the time of booking.
What to See and Do Near South Zone Resorts
Anyone who's staying in Puerto Vallarta condos won't want to stay inside all the time. Even with great amenities, the lure of going outside to explore is too great to ignore. Canopy and Outdoor Adventures and Wildlife Connection are two of the most popular attractions near South Zone vacation rentals. You might also want to check out Unique ATV Tours and Metamorphosis Day Spa for great things to do near the South Zone resorts.
