"We had the priveledge of staying for a week this April at the ICON penthouse. The pictures truly do not do it justice. The unit was spotlessly clean and fully stocked with everything we requested upon arrival for a nominal fee of $25 ud plus the cost of food. Karla showed us everything we needed to know about the unit and was very friendly and helpful arranging airport transport also.
The roof top patio was huge complete with fridge and outdoor grill. The "Cool" hot tub was nice to cool down in on hot afternoons.
The pool bar has relaxed service and friendly staff.
We also received our damage deposit back in a timely manor and would not hesitate to recommend this property."

"We stayed at this condo for a week during Holy Week and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The main attraction here is the pools. If you have children, this is definitely the place to stay as the pools are heated to different temps to suit any preference and even though they were not zero depth entry, each pool had large platform or cut-out areas (20 x 20 feet at least) where kids could walk and play in the shallower water (varying from a few inches deep to maybe 2 feet deep) without always being held by a parent. This was an amazing bonus for my 4 and 6 year old who want to be more independent in the pool.
The condo pictures were accurate and everything was very nice. The bed was really comfortable, the futon was more comfortable than a pull-out couch, and the kitchen had everything you needed. The hot tub on the balcony was clean, filled quickly and had a nice view. The balcony is deeper than other units in the complex so we definitely did not feel cramped out there and ate almost all of our meals out there enjoying the incredible view.
Mary Ann was great to deal with and was available at a moment's notice. Security deposit returned promptly.
There are lots of friendly condo staff constantly monitoring the pool areas and parking garage so nobody is sneaking in to use the pools, etc. There is someone working the front gate 24 hours a day, too. Felt extremely safe. This property is not a spring break party place if that is what you are looking for. We were not which made this place perfect.
The beach here was calm in the mornings (we did some stand up paddleboarding on two mornings) and you can see dolphins swimming about. It did get deep rather quickly, though. We took a day trip to the south side of PV and caught a boat out of Boca de Tomatlon (park in town for 50 pesos, round trip boat ride to the beach for 200 pesos) to a tamer, absolutely gorgeous beach (Colomitos Beach) for some snorkeling. Paid an extra 350 pesos to have the guy take us over to Los Arcos before going back to our car. Considering what you pay per person for tours out to those spots, using a local is definitely worth it.
If you're cooking on your own, there is a Costco and a WalMart within a 3 minute drive. The grill on the balcony was new as well and easy to use. The best place to eat in the area is called Sonora's (look it up on Yelp) and is on the right side of the road on the way to Costco. It is a butcher shop by day and the food is outstanding."

"The Velas Vallarta is a wonderful resort and we had a great vacation. However the beach is not as good (stones and gravel in places) Not nearly as nice as the beach at Bucerias where we have stayed before.
Our main criticism relates to the equipment provided in the kitchen for cooking. We accepted the fact that there was not an oven and only a cooktop with 2 elements. Who wants to spend time on holiday cooking oven meals? Cooking anything was a challenge .There was only one saucepan with no lid. There was not a serrated knife to slice bread (we bought one and left it there), The potato peeler was of the lowest quality, bent and twisted . We would have loved a small kettle as we are tea drinkers. also a cheese grater. When we arrived there was unused food in the fridge. There was stiff, dirty dish clothes in the bottom drawer and there was no teas towels to dry the dishes ( we bought these)
A folder with information regarding how to access wi fi, how to get rid of our grabage, TV and dvd info, info regarding the restaurants at the resort, and the fact that we could open an account and charge meals and drinks to our room.
In spite of the above we really enjoyed staying here and would rent again."

"The condominium 377691 is a fabulous condominium! It is completely updated and it is in an incredible location right on the beautiful beach in Conchas Chinas!! The water in the building is triple purified, and it is on the 2nd floor which makes it very easy to get to. The owners of the condo have done a fabulous job in making the condo comfortable, accommodating, and charming. The town of Puerto Vallarta is just a few minutes drive away, and is a very charming and attractive town. I would definitely give Rental 377691 a 5 star rating!!"
