  • Our first trip to PV was amazing! The condo is beautiful & the neighbors friendly and helpful.

"We decided we didn't want to stay on the beach but to explore the town and that's what we did. The condo has a gorgeous view but as others have said, the walk down the hill is on the steep side and the road uneven, so be forewarned. However, it didn't prevent us from walking into town daily (we caught taxis back which are plentiful & inexpensive). We walked to Costco, the Mercardo (fresh caught fish/shrimp and beef), explored the cemetery, took a water taxi to Yelapa, walked the Malecon and discovered wonderful eateries/shops/bakeries and met lots of nice people. There are several grocery stores (Ley) nearby plus smaller corner markets to choose from. The condo is beautiful, the bed very comfy, the patio awesome, and the kitchen had everything we could want/need except hot water. The faucet has cold, but no hot. However, there is a dishwasher but I used hot water from the bathroom to wash our dishes. The ice maker didn't work (not a big deal, we bought ice). What we were disappointed with is that the satellite/internet didn't work and we were unable to watch television, especially since it is mentioned as an amenity. We called & emailed the owner immediately about the satellite not working, and several additional times, but no response from her for 2-3 days later only to say she would check on it. That was it. No further communication or explanation from her. That was disappointing. Neighbor told us the Canadian company that provided the service had stopped service to Mexico some time ago. Luckily we brought our laptop and was able to watch videos on it. Plus, the neighbors also shared movies they had and offered the use of a DVD player. It was still an excellent trip and wonderful accomodations! Note the pool is small and unheated, but not an issue for us. I don't recommend the unit/complex for those with young children or those with physical disabilities. From ground level, the penthouse is only a few flights up, with the pool located several flights down. Everyone we encountered were friendly and helpful...from taxi drivers to people on the street to the workers in the restaurants. We look forward to our next trip and exploring more of the area. BTW, one of our favorite restaurants was Oceano Azul which is across from McDonalds in the Malecon."

  • Fantastic, Attentive Staff in an Authentic Beachfront Villa

"We are a group of 5 couples that stayed at Villa Celeste over New Year's week. The property is exactly as pictured and was a great place to stay. It is literally steps from Conchas Chinas beach, but most of the beachfront is rocks -- a very short 10 minute walk north on the beach puts you in Playa de los Muertos where you can pick a chair and have drinks and meals on the beach all day. The staff at Villa Celeste was incredible. Pancho, the house manager, will coordinate any reservations or activities you would like. Javier, the chef, can prepare virtually any meal you ask for and Francisca kept the rooms in great shape for us. Daniel from Vallarta Shores made the reservation process very easy. He was easy to reach and to communicate with and eagerly answered any of our questions and concerns."

  • Beautiful condo in PV

"I have to say that Michael’s condo in PV is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at in all our years of VRBO’ing. My wife and I loved it from the moment we walked in the door and saw the view. We spent two weeks there, and just didn’t want to leave. Because it’s beautiful, and is a relaxing place to stay. One of the reasons we like VRBO rentals is that we can eat in when we want, and with fresh seafood at the markets, fresh bread, wonderful veggies and lots of fruit, we had plenty of opportunities to do just that. Everything you need is in the condo. The kitchen is wonderful, the lighting is great, and the internet works. The hot tub is comfortable, and there are lots of ceiling fans, and a wonderful breeze that blows gently all the time. And you don't have to worry about the water not being clean, ever! Because it's all filtered, from all faucets! This is something that Michael does not emphasize in his property overview, and he should. Plus, there’s a parking space included, which was important to us. We could explore all up and down the coast, and then park and walk or take taxis, when we wanted to just enjoy. Finally, Gus, the manager, is also great. We had some good chats with him, got some referrals for places to eat like locals. Try the Rio BBQ, about 15 minutes away, back in the canyon by the river. Thanks, Michael, for sharing your place with us. We’ll be back!"

  • A wonderful condo! Fun, fun, fun!

"Joni's home was charming, like staying in an art gallery! The artwork and décor was colorful and fun. The condo is so livable since cooking supplies and staples are in the kitchen and guests are invited to use the supplies. A day of fishing resulted in 50 pounds of fresh fish...we grilled, cooked and had a dinner for ten of us. Joni's condo is splendidly equipped. We made good use of the lovely guitar too. It was a joyful, happy week in Puerto Vallarta. Thanks!"
