"This home is in a very peaceful location, and the neighborhood is lovely! The home is the perfect description of relaxation.
My only issue was (and my own fault) I didn't realize that there was no television. Overall, it was a great place to stay!
The owners were very nice and easy to work with, thanks Gab and Denise!bclz"

"We rented for four months and fell in love with Copandaro, Lake Zirahuen and Michoacan. The house is very comfortably furnished and the view from the living room, kitchen and patio is absolutely fantastic. Alejandra and Enrique literally will do anything possible to assure your visit is as enjoyable as possible. The location is perfect for day trips throughout Michoacan including; Patzcuaro, Morelia, Uruapan, and numerous villages where a wide variety of outstanding handicrafts are made and indigenous Purepecha people live. The villagers of Copandaro are very friendly, traffic jams are created only by cattle and horses and outstanding hiking opportunities are abundant. We used our kayaks to explore the beautiful lake. Despite the problems several years ago, we traveled throughout Michoacan and never saw or experienced anything that made us feel uncomfortable. It was difficult to leave and we have already scheduled our next visit to El Alto Lucero."

"My wife and I came to Patzcuaro for the dia de los Muertos celebration in early Nov. 2014. Pedro's property was in a great location. Up a hill and down a hill and you were in the historic centro. Restaurants abound, street food available, and a community of gentle people, with amazing arts and crafts for sale. Let's not forget the amazing architecture of a 500 year old village.
The property is clean, private, and well taken care of. Pedro has a property manager Liseth who was helpful with getting us nested in. Pedro himself was incredibly helpful via phone and making sure his staff assisted us with any needs or concerns. This alone is why I gave his property 5 stars. He was there for us.
The area of Patzcuaro has so much to see. Artisan villages around the area, combined with a lot of natural beauty in the mountain countryside.
This area is a safe haven, never once did we feel the opposite.
I encourage you to consider renting either property. Casa Grande, or Chica. Each have their own benefits; we did spend time in both units. I found Casa Chica quieter from road noise, being further off the street in the property. But, Casa Grande is more spacious, beautiful kitchen, great original art. Beds in either Casa were comfortable.
This is the second time I have used HomeAway as a resource for vacation rentals and I was not disappointed. I will continue to use this avenue over hotels as you get the feeling of being at home instead of living out of a suitcase in a hotel.
Thanks again to Pedro and his staff who helped us have a great vacation in this wonderful area of Mexico.

"Sorry, five stars just aren't sufficient Bekky and Miles have anticipated your every need: efficiency, comfort, esthetics. They have spared nothing; it's as though they moved next door to give you their own home. None of the pictures due justice to this casita: in the sky, yet so close to town. It's a brisk walk up the hill from town but the cab is but 30 pesos ( two bucks! ) and a 5/10 peso tip brings of smile to the cabbie. Oh, yes, I'll return; after all I consider it a six-plus casita!
Panoramic view from the casita:
Wind swept clouds burl high
Over Patzcuaro's broad smile;
Sun, moon, temples reign.
