  • Perfect 10 days!

"My husband and I truly enjoyed our time at this El Encanto condo. They were completely ready for us upon arrival and the pictures shown are not only what you get but to see the view in person is amazing! We had such a wonderful time and although we don't mind doing our own laundry it was such a great surprise to come back from the beach club every other day and find the place spotless and our clothes taken care of. The cart allowed us to go any and everywhere and we loved playing as much golf as we did! We would definitely come back to stay and thank the owners for allowing this to be our home while in Mexico!!"

"Punta de Mita is a very laid back Mexican Village but with very nice restaurants and friendly people. El Anclote Condominium has a beautiful pool with nice accomodations to encourage friendly conversation, time in the sun and thatched umbrellas. The Condo is clean, roomy and comfortably furnished with a patio that is very well positioned to sit and eat and watch the ocean and the whales as they breach. The condo is well furnished with cooking utensils, microwave, and all the necessities. Owner very helpful when notified of any problem and gets it taken care of promptly. Excellent hi speed wifi and cable TV and DVD player. Multiple air conditioners throughout which are quiet and effecient as one adjusts to the heat, but then ended up rarely using as became aclimated. I spent 5 weeks here the first of the year of 2014 and again 2015. I walked the 3 mile stretch of beach, mostly barefoot, for a good 6 mile trek each day and always seeing something new and interesting in the ocean, beach, air of tidal pools. Excellent markets with everything you need to cook in. Easy bus service into towns along the way to Puerto Vallarta. Wonderful helpful neighbors in adjacent condos to make you feel comfortable. Love it"

  • Punta Mita no waves but the best "surf trip" ever

"We stayed in the Condo for a week hoping to surf pretty much all day every day. The only problem was...... it was flat and 20 beginners on longboards and over-enthusiastic locals fighting for a single wave at La Lancha was not my idea of a surf paradise. That said, everything else was close to perfect and we will come back in the knowledge that a week without swell is very unusual. Our three year old loved the pool and the condo was both kid friendly and kid safe which was a plus. The views were stunning and we were very comfortable using the fully equipped kitchen etc. Another plus was that everything worked well from the showers to the cupboard doors, a sign of good property management and quality construction. The neighborhood was also nice and quiet and very safe. We walked into the back streets several times to buy fresh fish from Monica and to take the short-cut to the supermarket and were greeted with smiles and waves from all the locals we met. Restaurants on the "strip" were also pretty good. We'd recommend Margaritas as the best value. Service is pretty slow in the restaurant across the street, but they do allow you to order and then "take out" and the food is OK for a take-out. Donna and Lety were a pleasure to deal with and both were friendly and responsive throughout the booking process. We took a private tour to the Marietas twice and would recommend Daniel. We'd also suggest heading out in the late afternoon to avoid the Puerto Vallarta booze boats and their drunken clientele. We will definitely return to Punta Mita and although there are definitely more expensive options the incremental cost to stay at the 4 Seasons is just not worth it because everything you need is available at El Farol 2."

"After an awesome time last year at Villa Lunada, we returned to enjoy this wonderful property once again with our teenage daughter. Greg and Susan, the owners, as always, took care of everything. We were picked up at the airport and wisked away to the property. When we walked through the doors, we were instantly relaxed - the view is stunning, the whales were frolicking, the pelicans were diving and swooning, schools of fish were jumping and everything was perfect. I agree with other reviewers that the photos do not do justice to the design and warmth of this villa. The master suite is to "die-for" - television with hundreds of channels from around the world - and all the top notch amenities one can imagine - phone, wi-fi etc. The food - especially the flan - was wonderful. The margaritas made by the courteous staff were incomparable - best we've ever had anywhere in the world - yes, really. One day, staff arranged a car and driver for us to tour Sayulita and San Fransisco - everything first class. If you want a restaurant, there are awesome restaurants just a golf cart ride away - but you will likely be full from all the yummy meals at the villa. Security is not an issue - the place is safe and well protected. We spent most of our days staring and lounging in the pools. The access to the beach clubs is nice if you want a sandy beach or a sunset, but the villa has surfing, paddle-boarding etc right off the property and photo-worthy sunrises! This property is far superior to any of the villas at the Four Seasons - the privacy is unparalleled, and the food is better! We will return again. Love Punta Mita and love Villa Lunada."
