  • Absolutely Sublime!!!

"We've been coming to Casa Rincon for 5 years now. We took our honeymoon in Rinconcito (the enchanting 2-story casita right on the beach) in 2009, and we can't stop coming back! Barbara and her staff are so warm, courteous, talented and helpful, and their knowledge of local food and incredible cooking always pushes our visits over the top. We often end up eating better at home than at any of the (many excellent) restaurants and resorts in the area! This time we had our whole family, ranging from the gramps all the way down to our newest 2 yr old additions - for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Everyone had an absolutely fabulous time and there was something for everyone! From chilling out in the pool, to getting a massage under the grand palapa, to shopping for fresh seafood nearby, to surfing right out front (and much much more), Casa Rincon and it's surrounding Nayarit area are a totally fantastic family destination. Guaranteed new favorite! We can't recommend this property highly enough! Six stars!!!"

  • Couldn't get enough of the view!

"We spent two weeks at Casa Vista Alegre in early march with two other couples. It was wonderful with each couple having their own separate space but with a large communal area in the house and on the veranda. The pools were great. The house is close to the main plaza so getting around is easy and convenient. We are all home now whining because we are not in Mexico looking out over the ocean."

  • Wonderful first stay in Sayulita

"This house is gorgeous and so much bigger than I realized! We had a wonderful first trip to Sayulita, largely due to this house. We loved having all the space. the pool, comfy outdoor spaces, and gorgeous views. We traveled with our 2 year old so we knew we'd have to hyper vigilant about the pool and the upper deck railings but it all worked out fine. If you have a younger, just walking tot, I would say to be aware of the all the hard floors. I was so impressed by all the gorgeous details in the house and it definitely had more staples than I would have expected, making cooking/meal prep at home really easy. The house really is a quick (5-10 min) walk into town and the beach and tons of restaurants/stores. A little harder on the way back uphill, but nothing unmanageable. And as long as we kept all the windows open and ceiling fans on, we were more than comfortable in ~90 degree weather. One thing I'd recommend, given the open windows and the early morning roosters, is bringing along a pair of earplugs. We were also there over a holiday weekend which made for a few festive evenings down in the plaza - great if you want to hear live music from the comfort of your vacation home, not so great at 1am when you want to sleep :) No fault of the house, just be warned if visiting during a busy period. We otherwise loved this place and this town and would go back in a minute. The owner was also very helpful, easy to work with, and quick to respond. Thanks Penelope, Lalo, Carmen and Lety!"

  • A Gem in Sayulita!!

"If you are wanting a reasonably priced comfortable suite with a fantastic host look no further. Lyn has done a fantastic job of giving you an enjoyable experience. The roof top deck is a treasure with a BBQ and fabulous views and a place to lounge if you want to stay put and have a beer or margarita. Sayulita is a town full of life, lots of music, good bars and restaurants, great coffee and fabulous beaches. Lots of vendors on the beach so don't need to take food, you can buy cooked shrimp on a stick, candy, chips, donuts, empanadas and the list goes on. Thirsty? Buy a beer on the beach from the many beach restaurants and dont forget the awesome guacamole."
