"The views from this villa are truly amazing. You almost feel like you are on a boat as there is a 180+ degree unobstructed ocean view from almost every room. The 3 master suites are all spacious with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. It worked really well for us with our two grown children and grandchild as the rooms are quite separate and private. The kitchen is very well stocked and the sliding doors in al the rooms, create a fantastic indoor outdoor experience.
The infinity pool is lovely and great for relaxing around especially at sunset when the sky was spectacular."

"A close group of 9 of my dear friends had the pleasure of experiencing Villa Clavellinas in March of 2015. We made the trip to celebrate a beautiful lady's 40th birthday. It was the trip of a lifetime. We all are making plans to return. It is the perfect place for a large group. The views are incredible. Very private and relaxing. Plenty of room for several guests. I highly recommend requesting the service for meal preparation. We had the immense pleasure of having a wonderful cook prepare us one meal daily and it was worth it!! Incredible addition to the whole experience!! The only obstacle would be for someone with any physical handicaps or small children-any under 10. The stairs are many and steep and the property is not for small children. Also, rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the jungle road from the villa. It is not for small vehicles. Other than that, prepare yourself for pure magic and sweetness. This a gem in the jungle!!"

"I'm a discerning traveler who hesitates to rate places because I'm sort of old and bald and cranky and hard to please, but I have to break my own rule here:
We had a sort of extended family gathering here recently and this is a magnificent place. Close enough to Puerto Vallarta to get there fairly easily, close enough to San Pancho for dining out, groceries, and stuff, but remote enough to be unspoiled, clean, safe, and a GREAT place to recharge yourself. San Pancho is a friendly little place that is a treasure. Some of the visitors & locals gather at the beach in town to watch the sunset and then applaud. Or you can also watch the sunset at these villas from down at the water and applaud by yourself. One time I walked down to the water by myself and simply sat there for approaching an hour before realizing how long I had been just sitting--this is a perfect indicator of how unspoiled and private this place is. I saw more whales and turtles in a week here than my whole life combined.
The place is well maintained and I will never hesitate to recommend it!
I tried out my 2 years' high school Spanish at each opportunity in San Pancho and between my cruddy Spanish and their English, NEVER had a problem. I was amazed at how many locals have a working command of English and at no time was there any misunderstanding at food or beverage or shopping or entertainment-type establishments."

"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mariposa in San Pancho. The town is wonderful, quaint and welcoming and the casa and gardens are an oasis of tranquility and beauty. We stayed here for five weeks and from Larry, the owner; Jose Luis, property manager; and Marcelo, gardener; everyone was very responsive to our requests, and needs. We couldn't have asked for better. The 10 minute walk to the beach from the casa took us down the main street and gave us ample opportunity to meet the neighbours and the town folk. Restaurants in San Pancho are plentiful, and delicious! Cooking facilities at the casa were also great. All in all, a wonderful stay."
