  • Spectacular view in a spectacular home.

"My husband and I hosted a family vacation at Villa Sol Blau. We had a wonderful time. Each room is very comfortable. With ten of us in the house, we never felt like we were on top of one another. The pool is perfect for cooling off when you're sunbathing on the patio. Alejandro was there for all of our needs...arranging transportation, receiving the golf cart and instructing us on all the home was equipped with during our stay. Laura made some fantastic appetizers the night the family arrived and kept the home clean and tidy during our stay. Its an easy walk to town, however, the road is a bit rough after you leave the subdivision."

  • semana santa tranquility...kinda

"4th family trip to sayulita and our first outside of villa amor. very very happy with our stay. the house is great! very comfy beds and lots of room. the kids staying in separate houses was ok but a little nerve racking for my wife due to the remote possibility of a nighttime break in. (This did happen to a family we met at their house on the north end of town while we were down there. They had an intruder scale a wall and enter in the middle of the night and take valuables that were arms length away from their sleeping kids. Kinda scary to hear about!) Anyway, the other great things about this property were the pool (plenty big enough for a small gathering), the outside palapa zone by the pool (furniture could be a bit more comfy), and the open flow from the pool area to the living room allowing an in/out feel. We had a chef cook for us one night that was arranged through Ernesto which worked out well. Id give an 8/10 due to the bland nature of the food but I think she may have been trying to make the kids happy. We caught a Sierra (a type of Spanish Makerel) which she cooked perfectly. Semana Santa is kind of a nightmare time to go as we found out. The house on the hill aspect definitely made for a better experience than if we were down near the town but it was still super loud with the several traveling troupes of marching band music (not my fave to begin with) that went until 4 am some of the nights. There was also a rave which brought even more people into the sleepy surf village. Word on the street was that the population of Sayulita went from 6k to 15k that week and it definitely felt like it. Im looking forward to going back down and would love to hit this pad again but I sure wont go to a tourist destination in Mexico for semana santa again!"

  • Great Place!

"Amazing Property! Very close to the beach and town. You can walk everywhere from here. The private pool and air conditioners in each bedroom are a plus! Storm was great and was very helpful with food recomendations and surf schools. Storm recomended a local chef to make a meal in house and she was fabulous. Make sure you have Nuri come make a meal for you. Plenty of clean water drinking jugs so no need to purchase a lot of water at the mega. One downside, the ice maker made very little ice and it was fairly hot in June so we just bought ice. This place has everything you need! Loved it!"

  • What more could you possibly want?

"A gorgeous and comfortable home, amazing sunrises and sunsets, great surfing and swimming on gorgeous and nearby beaches, delicious food at a multitude of inviting, clean and savory restaurants, wonderful support staff and fabulous owners willing to do whatever it takes to make your vacation special and memorable! Casa de la Vida is one of the most comfortable and welcoming homes we have visited -- which is saying something since we've been lucky enough to have travelled the world and stayed in many five star hotels. If you are considering Casa de la Vida I can promise you that you will not be disappointed. The pictures on the VRBO website are exactly what you will find when you arrive. Getting there, from the airport in PV is easy by taxi and they will even stop at Costco or Mega to stock you up on all the groceries you could want. We spent a month in Sayulita over Christmas 2014 and hated to leave. We rode quads on beaches, we snorkelled, sailed, swam everyday and basked in the Mexican sun and immersed ourselves in the laid back lifestyle of the friendly locals. I could go on and on...but I won't. I will simply say that if you rent Anita and Jim's home you will have a wonderful vacation."
