  • Villa Colina Sayulita: Great Amenities, Perfect Location

"Our stay at Villa Colina in November of 2014 was everything we had hoped for and more. The home offers three distinct bedroom areas plus a TV room which can serve as a fourth bedroom if needed. The living room and kitchen have floor to ceiling window doors which can slide open offering open air access onto the patio and swimming pool. The patio has a thatch roof gazebo which offers a great shaded area to relax by the pool during the day. Two of the three bedrooms have balconies with sweeping views into town and up the Pacific coastline. The third bedroom opens up to a small patio facing the pool. The north end of the yard/pool area looks down into the main surf break in town. There is also a rooftop terrace which is a great place to take in sights and sounds day and night. You can literally hear crickets, ocean waves breaking, and music from town all at once. Located on a small ridge on the south side of town, Villa Colina offers the perfect combination of views and access to everything. A cement pathway out the front door leads down to the road in front of the famous Iguana tree. If you make a left you will be at the fishing boat beach which has the best beginner surfing and swimming and if you make a right or go straight you are in downtown Sayulita. You can be at the restaurants, shops or beach of Sayulita in about two minutes. In a nutshell, Villa Colina is the perfect getaway in the magical town of Sayulita."

  • Wonderful first stay in Sayulita

"This house is gorgeous and so much bigger than I realized! We had a wonderful first trip to Sayulita, largely due to this house. We loved having all the space. the pool, comfy outdoor spaces, and gorgeous views. We traveled with our 2 year old so we knew we'd have to hyper vigilant about the pool and the upper deck railings but it all worked out fine. If you have a younger, just walking tot, I would say to be aware of the all the hard floors. I was so impressed by all the gorgeous details in the house and it definitely had more staples than I would have expected, making cooking/meal prep at home really easy. The house really is a quick (5-10 min) walk into town and the beach and tons of restaurants/stores. A little harder on the way back uphill, but nothing unmanageable. And as long as we kept all the windows open and ceiling fans on, we were more than comfortable in ~90 degree weather. One thing I'd recommend, given the open windows and the early morning roosters, is bringing along a pair of earplugs. We were also there over a holiday weekend which made for a few festive evenings down in the plaza - great if you want to hear live music from the comfort of your vacation home, not so great at 1am when you want to sleep :) No fault of the house, just be warned if visiting during a busy period. We otherwise loved this place and this town and would go back in a minute. The owner was also very helpful, easy to work with, and quick to respond. Thanks Penelope, Lalo, Carmen and Lety!"

  • Great View and Gentle Breezes

"We stayed here for 10 days and overall it was a good experience. On the plus side is the view… expansive! There is solid wifi, good water pressure and hot water for showers. And we really appreciated amenities like Kleenex, soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and plenty of bottled drinking water. The large glass doors onto the patio were easy to open and close and felt very secure. The washer and dryer are also nice although we didn’t use them. The house is very private and quiet up a steep hill with only one neighbor. A car or an electric golf cart (48 amps) is necessary to traverse the hill and for going back and forth to town or the beach. On the negative side; while the master bed was comfortable, the other guest rooms had very uncomfortable beds. The kitchen lacked some essential items including wine glasses, soup/salad bowls, tablecloths and place mats. There was no conversation area indoors, just one futon couch in the TV room. To use CDs you had play them through the TV/DVD player which had weak speakers. Our friend brought their iPod docking station with Bose speakers and we rocked! The pool was cold and shady and off to the side so it was really not an asset. The casa has an odd, overall setup with a bedroom with twin beds downstairs off the main living area and the master and a queen bedroom quite isolated upstairs. I would think twice if you had a couple of ten year olds or teenagers downstairs in the twin room on their own at night. The property manager, Ramon, was the best and a great asset to this rental. He was there for us whenever we needed him. We would also like to recommend having a private chef. We used both Daniel at and Sofia at Both were amazing! Overall, the house was very nice and we had a wonderful stay in beautiful and FUN Sayulita!"

  • Amazing Mexico getaway with quaint outdoor living Space/Kitchen and rooftop den

"Casa Momento was such a treat to stay in. Right as you open the gate the white walls leading up the stairs welcoming you to paradise. The stairs spill into an open air dipping pool/kitchen and living area. It was so much fun to cook dinners while feeling the breeze and while family and friends were in the pool. At night we loved going on the rooftop lounge area where we could enjoy the view of the town as well as the songs of the birds. The beds were super comfortable and all the appliances, bathrooms were super modern, clean, new and all and all luxurious. The showers are such a treat. Making plans with Charlie (the Owner) was such a breeze and he could not have been more accommodating. It was also so great to know that the house manager lived across the street so if any need or concern arose we would have had a door to knock on, however everything ran so smoothly it wasn't necessary. It was also so nice to be able to pull our car right up to the house for easy un load and our car was nicely protected in the private drive way which made us feel at ease. Upon arrival we were welcomed with beers, homemade salsa and chips! How nice after a long journey to get to Mexico. Sayulita proper is only a 4 min. walk down one casual street. No heavy traffic. Kids and dogs are playing in the street all the time. Once in town the beach is two blocks away. A really nice easy break is right in town which is great for beginner surfers. World class surf breaks scatter the area if you are looking to hit bigger waves. Just ask Charlie and he can point you in the right direction. All and all we had a terrific stay at Casa Momento and will definitely be returning. Thank you Charlie and Katherine for creating such a beautiful home for others to enjoy!"
