lovely house and incredible views. Internet is very, very iffy though
"The views from this house are amazing. Having the use of the golf cart completely negates the distance from town so you really have the best of both worlds. The kitchen is well stocked and amazing with the plethora of glasses and cups. Tip: We spent 4 days not realizing we had a key to the laundry room (as the door is kept locked). You should have a key and as such access to the washer/dryer and the guest bathroom. We had been running out the to pool for that bathroom rather than use the master's. The pool was sparkling clean and such a source of delight for all of us.
Another tip: If the casita is lacking a mosquito net, ask the property manager to arrange one. We spent 2 nights getting bit up before deciding to ask for a net. Lastly, if you are planning a working vacation and depend on internet, seriously look elsewhere. I ASSumed that since Internet was advertised it would actually work and it did work for 2 days. I then had to call multiple times a day since apparently the internet for this house comes from a restaurant down the hill. Very Very iffy service. The lack of reliable internet really ruined my vacation since I had to work while the rest of the family played. :) Tip: the bookstore has reliable internet and there is a business in town which offers reliable internet to the other houses in this neighborhood and also provides an office for you to work out of. I really hope the owners either change their listing to reflect the poor state of the internet they "offer" or contract with http://sayulitawifi.com/ to provide reliable internet service. I know, vacation you should vacation, but unfortunately I could not. :) we had a very wide range of ages, from 85 to 50, and everyone had a lovely time."

"Our stay at Casa Azul was great from start to finish! The home was clean, comfortable, and well maintained and appeared exactly as described in the VRBO listing. The housekeeper, Sarah, was friendly, accommodating (she did a couple of loads of wash for us) and unobtrusive. Sarah and her daughter Esther even prepared a fantastic meal (including Passionfruit Margaritas) for us one evening.
We did not have a car or golf cart and did not need one! Everything in town was easily accessible on foot and the beach was an easy block and a half down the road.
While in Sayulita, a few from our group enjoyed a day riding ATV's and zip-lining with Rancho Mi Chaparrita (www.michaparrita.com).
We really enjoyed the tacos at El Itacate, pizza and pasta at Pizza Venezia, and many of the entrees at Tropical House.
We also had a wonderful meal at Haramara Yoga Retreat to celebrate a birthday (beware, they charged our cc more than we signed for, but when we brought it to their attention the next day, they came to Casa Azul and refunded the overcharge in dollars).
Casa Azul's owner was very responsive to questions I had leading up to the trip and refunded my security deposit within days of my return home. All in all, our stay at Casa Azul in Sayulita was great and I would recomend it to family and friends!"

"Might just be the best vacation ever, and we like to travel. I was so happy to find this place through a google search of "off the beaten path beaches in Mexico". And is it ever off the beaten path. The two hour trek from the airport was manageable (better roads that much of Mexico but a bit of a wild goose chase at the end). Arriving to the splendid house with the scent of hibiscus flowers, and the moon lit patio, we could not have been happier. We traveled with our 2.5 year old and my in-laws, and I was 8 months pregnant, and everyone was happy and healthy the entire time. Water was drinkable, and no emergencies (nearest upper level hospital at least 2 hour drive). Plenty of space, and the accommodations are bright, clean, and airy. You will be hard pressed to find a view quite like this one too. None of the other 12 or so houses seemed to have quite as good of a vista- of the beach and estuary.
Liseth was a great treat too- simple fresh meals with tons of fruits and vegetables and amazing Mexican sauces. Never went hungry. We did the meal plan 5 days- Sunday is day off and ate at Los Platanitos restuaruant in the village which was great (and no one got sick). Highly reccomend it on Sundays as you get to experience Mexican culture- so many come to the beach on Sundays. Could have gotten by with 4 days as we had so many leftovers! Would recommend picking up alcohol in PV as really only corona light could be found locally. We stopped at the Walmart off the highway on the way in.
Towels and sheets a plenty, as well as simple toiletries if needed. The kayak was great and no one else in the complex seemed to use it the week we were there, so we had daily morning excursions. Just ask for paddle at front desk. Another family used a company out of Salulita called "surf and roll" who delivered body boards and surf boards and paddle boards for the week and provided lessons. Might do that next time.
The beach is perfect for kids, as are the pools. And the beach would have been a great beach to run on too, had I not been pregnant, as its long and flat and fairly well packed down at low tide.
We will be back! Don't forget your binoculars, the bird watching is fantastic.
Also, the owner was great to work with- providing timely info as we planned our trip."

"We loved Casa Cereza. It is truly a Mexican Hacienda. Everything was as pictured. The casita is extremely clean. The management company was responsive and delightful to work with. We arrived in May. Both bedrooms were air-conditioned however the living room and kitchen were not. It was extremely hot. The problem we found was we did not have a breeze to cool the patio down. The stove is a 4 burner stove. No oven. It was too hot to cook so it was not a concern. It is an easy walk into town and beach. I would say it takes 5 minutes to walk to either. The living room was not very comfortable. The water pressure was not the best but it's Mexico. We used the outdoor shower. It only has cold water but was wonderful. Never used the shower in the bathroom. I am returning for another month in October. I do not think you would be disappointed with Casa Cereza."
