  • Absolutely Fantastic

"We were in Sayulita for a birthday party. I stayed here for one week with my two adult daughters, my sister and my niece. Other family stayed in four other houses scattered around Sayulita. Everyone came to our house to enjoy the private beach and beautiful views. All agreed we had the best place! So comfortable! Close to town. We could walk in less than 10 minutes. Eric and his family, the caretakers, we're so sweet and helpful through out our stay. It was magical. We will be going back. We rented the two bedroom and the one bedroom above it and had more than enough room to host a costume party for Day of the Dead. I recommend renting a golf cart to get around as well. Very special place. We hated to leave!"

  • A Mexican gem

"Four of us headed to Sayulita after a 3 day seminar in Puerto Vallarta and we are so glad we did. Casa de la vida is a wonderful house in a wonderful little town. Perfect for two couples with the separate bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms. The open kitchen/living room and the amazing big porch were perfect for lounging and relaxing, intermittently dipping in to the pool to cool off. We also hosted a dinner party for 18, prepared by the sweet housekeeper Azucena and her daughter. Delicious! The swinging bed, the pool and the view could not be beat. Short walk down to the most amazing beach where we could walk in to town and then return to our quiet get-a-way. Perfect. The kind of place one could return to every year."

  • honeymoon paradise

"My newly minted husband and I stayed here after our San Francisco wedding this fall. It could not have been more relaxing and lovely after the frenzy of wedding planning. We let the property manager arrange an airport pickup for us and a golf cart to be ready for our arrival. We have decided that we really only want to travel via golf cart from now on, as we felt like a million bucks cruising around town. (we also got NO exercise on this trip, haha) The house was great, a lot of nice details, we especially enjoyed the air conditioned, bug free sleeping area (ESSENTIAL). I cannot believe how affordable our vacation ended up being. I thought I would want to cook but instead we just ate fish tacos and drank beers in town for basically every meal. I don't know if we ever spent more than about $30USD in one of our lavish outings. Tacos are $2 and that's all you really need. Highly recommended. We can't wait to come back. The house is excellent, the little pool is excellent, the outdoor shower is excellent. There were some exciting bugs and lizards and stuff but that's par for the course in a tropical area. A gecko did poop on my husband from the ceiling while we were watching a movie on his laptop. That was a highlight."

  • Wonderful vacation house!

"I just returned from my trip to Sayulita with my husband and 18 month old. We loved this house! The distance to town was great, an easy 10 minute walk to town that we did several times a day with a toddler with and without our stroller. Lots of activity (chickens, roosters, baby chicks) on the walk that made it fun. We loved the pool and outdoor shower. We always felt very safe, no concerns at all. Laysha was amazing, such a great resource to us! Sayulita is such a special town, was so happy we didn't see any "spring breaker" type crowds here. Great family vacation. The only downside we experienced was the next door neighbors' two pitbulls that bark constantly. A few times they kept us up or woke up our baby. Pretty annoying, but what can you do?"
