"We were so excited to get to playa las Tortugas and las Mananitas, yet were not sure what we would find. Well, paradise awaited us. For 5 days my wife and I enjoyed the solitude, the comforts of the home, the incredible pool, the ocean and our long walks on the beach. There were a few other families at the community, all doing there own thing. Highly recommended for a off the beaten track vacation. Thanks, we will be back."

"We rented the villa, Las Palmas, for a week with our two young adult children and one of their friends. We had wanted to get away from busy beaches and all-inclusives and this fully- furnished, tastefully decorated house steps away from a really nice pool with an expansive, empty beach just beyond, fit the bill. We bought groceries just outside of Puerta Vallarta, as there are no restaurants very close by, but had the staff cook for us two separate days. These meals were excellent. She was also able to do grocery shopping for us further into the week so we did not have to leave the property. The beach was amazing for boogie boarding and we were able to release newly hatched turtles into the ocean from the turtle sanctuary at one end of the beach. Furthermore, a mangrove lagoon at this same end made for some calm swimming, kayaking, and paddle-boarding. The staff in this community were accommodating at all times and very helpful. We always felt very safe. We will come back again soon."

"We just returned from our fourth visit to Villa del Mar. We love this house and this beach. Highlights this year were venturing across the estuary to Platanitos, boogie boarding with our kids - who each year are more adventurous, releasing just-hatched baby turtles, celebrating Valentine's Day on the palapa, playing in the low tide at the estuary, and (almost) daily margaritas. As always, we loved Aurora's delicious breakfasts. The house is a perfect split for two families, with each group having a side with privacy. Thank you again!"

"This is my 3rd stay at Casa Luna for a girl's getaway. Playa Las Tortugas is an amazing get away from the hustle and bustle of life. It absolutely forces you to slow down and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this remote beach getaway. I hadn't realized how addicted I was to my electronic equipment until my services were less than what we expect in the US. We had great wi-fi service but my cell service was not as reliable as it had been in the past which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. I did find a wi-fi based text application that worked well so I could still communicate with my family. Every time I come there is something different. This year we watched as workers harvested the coconuts and trimmed the trees. It was amazing to watch them climb and descend these huge trees faster than I can the stairs. One of the workers accidentally ran over one of the water spigots right in front of the house which ended up cutting our water off to the house. Since it was Sunday, we were thinking that it there was no way that they could get the pipe fixed and water back on before we left Monday. As we were thinking of a plan B (down by the pool), one of the staff was on the property, knew what to do, and fixed the problem. We had water by the time we returned to the house. The April weather was perfect ... warm but not humid. The sun is intense so don’t be fooled and remember to put on your sunscreen. I was a little concerned about keeping up with some triathalon training during my week but the pool was large enough I was able to swim the perimeter and get a great workout. The 2 master suites gave us ample privacy and are large enough you don't feel closed in. I loved the little gecko that visited me in the shower my first day. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pans, dishes, utensils, and drink ware we needed. Just a little hint, put EVERYTHING that is open in the fridge to keep the ants out. They are tiny little guys and appear within minutes. We spent most of our time sitting under the palapa on the roof from morning coffee to sunset. The views are ones you don’t want to waste by staying inside."
