  • Perfect Family Gateway…

"Kim’s condo was the perfect retreat for our one-week stay with young children. We were two families with one child each (17-months and 15-months). Playa Royal is a beautiful property with freshly manicured grounds and a clean kiddie pool and adult pool. The property is more striking than the accurately posted pictures. You are fairly secluded in this enclave, but it was perfect for our situation. This property has an older clientele and some families, and the only onsite restaurant is the beach club, which has limited hours. There are a handful of restaurants nearby or you can walk to the Paradise Village mall where you’ll find a small grocery store, Starbucks and a few more restaurants. You have full access to all Paradise Village properties and amenities. We paid for the $18 weekly social membership at El Tigre, where we enjoyed the INDOOR kid’s playroom. There is a small outdoor playground at the Paradise Village Beach Resort. These were important elements for our “perfect family gateway.” The condo is also nice and simply decorated. The unit was easy to maintain during our stay and it felt safe. One thing to note is that the master bedroom faces outward toward the grounds and beach while the other bedroom faces the hallway. Not a huge deal, but it is worth mentioning only because we were traveling with another couple and at first glance one bedroom and bathroom felt superior to the other. That being said, the back bedroom remained cooler and there was less outside noise so it was fine. And, though the second bath hosts the washer/dryer it has two entry ways. Kim is very thoughtful about the items you’ll need for a beach vacation – the closet includes beach towels, boggie boards, beach chair mats, etc. She also has a small selection of board games and books. The kitchen includes all the basics. Things to note: 1) Housekeeping is conducted by an outside company; work with Kim to set cleaning up in advance. 2) Request additional bath towels in advance; only 4 large towels were provided even though there were six occupants listed on the rental agreement. 3) This is a condo complex not a hotel, though there is a concierge, front desk staff, beach restaurant, etc to make your stay more pleasant. The staff is very nice and helpful. Check in and out was easy. Kim is very easy to work with. All of our questions were answered in a timely matter and Kim provided helpful information in advance of our stay."

  • Wonderful Family Vacation!

"We had a fabulous time at your home in Punta Mita! It was perfect for us and another family (both with young children). We enjoyed the closeness of the town, the various beach clubs (per your membership), and just sitting on the lanai in the mornings watching the surfers below. Our children especially loved riding in the golf cart around the area. We also very much enjoyed Sufi and Casa Teresa! Great food and staff! We had such a lovely vacation and cannot wait to return next year! And, Juan and Gracia were absolutely fabulous and always available! The concierge truly makes for a very easy vacation. They always went over and beyond, and set up a babysitter for us who was perfect. Will be in touch! Thank you so much!"

  • Awesome !!!

"This condo did not disappoint. Well equipped with excellent quality of furniture and appliances. A fantastic view of the beach and ocean from the balcony. If you enjoy watching your favourite sports such as curling or hockey from Canada; can you beat watching it with shorts on and enjoying a peek at the ocean from time to time with the windows open to the balcony? Great location with many restaurants close by or stay in and cook a steak on the balcony. The beach in front is excellent for walking or you can read and relax around the infinity pool. Thanks again Rob and Deb for sharing your home away from home with us. Ed & Jeanette"

  • Excellent Value

"I was initially a little concerned as the price of the rental was relatively cheap. Once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how nice the property was. It has 2 large bedrooms that was perfect for our family of 4. My 2 young kids loved the splash pool and the upstairs patio is amazing. The location is great as it is very quite at night but only a short walk to the restaurants and centre of town. The only regret was that we didn't stay longer."

Eating is Half the Fun

During your Riviera Nayarit travel, you will find that food is definitely the focus in this wonderful beachfront town. Travelers can dine off the street or settle into any of the quaint seafood, Mexican, and tapas restaurants night after night and never eat the same thing twice.

If you are dining on a budget, your best bet is to head to the middle of town and check out the square. The local vendors in the city center often sell birria, which is a local goat stew, and tacos from their hand-driven carts. On the hottest of summer days, you will also find shaved ice with homemade guava and other delicious syrups.

Where to Shop

Whenever you go on vacation, it is always a great idea to bring a souvenir home or even a few gifts for your friends and family. Just south of the town square, you will find row upon row of street vendors selling various arts, crafts, and collectibles. You will also find your fair share of t-shirt stands. Other than the street vendors, there really is not much shopping in Riviera Nayarit. What you will get is plenty of that small-town vibe and handmade crafts.

Choose Riviera Nayarit Resorts Instead of Hotels
