  • Go. Now.

"Nine miles off highway 200, and bam! the pavement ends. Your amiable taxi driver is peering up driveways and hailing passersby, and growling up a cobbled lane towards La Posada Brisa Fresca. You may never want to leave. This is the daily passage: patio to sand, to warmest salty water, to Chico's or Las Brisas for a weeping cerveza, then back into the water, to bob, float, or boogie, as the whim takes you. Little children giggle and daydream in the waves; plump, happy people stroll around, slowly, with no watches on their wrists, and smile at you in another language. Some days, a Huichol couple sit in front of the store, intent on their beading, which you can purchase for painfully low prices, and bring home some ingenious sunshine-and-flowers to wear on your wrist, or your heart. Go now."

  • A slice of heaven, with better views.

"Where do I begin? From the moment we opened the doors, we knew we picked the right place. Million Dollar Views from the large balcony windows. Views of the Marieta islands, views across Bay of Banderas, views of the beach, views of the surf. The property manager, Alejandra, greeted my family, gave a tour of the property, explained the Satelite TV, Internet, and Vonage phone system as well as giving advice on things to do in the area. My family includes twin boys, 7 and a 10 year old girl. The place was perfect for them, TV, games in the closet, wonderful pool, hot tub, and one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Mexico right out front. Powdery white sand with gentle waves to play in. Just down the beach are great surf spots and an easy beginer break for the kids surf lessons. We spent most of the time just lounging on the beach or in the pool. La Casa de Pintor, restaurant, is only steps from the door, great pizza and Margaritas! Just a 10 minute walk away is Restaurant Row with numurous dining choices from taco stands to FINE DINING. The Condo is smartly furnished and equiped with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The highlight of the stay was a tour of the Marietas islands. Just a short 15 minute boat ride put us in about a pretty a place as I have ever been. We had snorkel gear including life vests for the kids. Clear warm water teaming with tropical fish. The memory of swimming through the cave to the "hidden beach" will last a lifetime.. Our only vacation regret was having to leave! We will be back!"

  • Paradise Found in Sayulita

"We had an absolute blast in Casa Rana Verde. It's a very cool property, with 4 separate casas (3 bedrooms, 1 kitchen). We went with two other families and having our own separate casa allowed for some quiet down time with our family. The views are spectacular, the pool and landscaping is so lush and green. It truly is a tropical oasis. And the town of Sayulita can not be beat. I can't wait to go back! Thank you Barry for all of your communication before, during and after our stay. Muchos gracias!"

  • Outstanding room and property

"I booked the condo thru Gus and he was very responsive. I was a tad nervous having never used VRBO before but everything worked out fine and the condo was exactly as it was presented. The Grand Luxxe is gorgeous. All the restaurants in the development are outstanding. The concierge service is top-notch. The only downside is that the time of year we went, mid-June is very buggy. We got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Aside from that, it was a terrific getaway."

Eating is Half the Fun

If you are dining on a budget, your best bet is to head to the middle of town and check out the square. The local vendors in the city center often sell birria, which is a local goat stew, and tacos from their hand-driven carts. On the hottest of summer days, you will also find shaved ice with homemade guava and other delicious syrups.

Where to Shop

Whenever you go on vacation, it is always a great idea to bring a souvenir home or even a few gifts for your friends and family. Just south of the town square, you will find row upon row of street vendors selling various arts, crafts, and collectibles. You will also find your fair share of t-shirt stands. Other than the street vendors, there really is not much shopping in Riviera Nayarit. What you will get is plenty of that small-town vibe and handmade crafts.

Choose Riviera Nayarit Resorts Instead of Hotels
