  • Great View and Gentle Breezes

"We stayed here for 10 days and overall it was a good experience. On the plus side is the view… expansive! There is solid wifi, good water pressure and hot water for showers. And we really appreciated amenities like Kleenex, soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and plenty of bottled drinking water. The large glass doors onto the patio were easy to open and close and felt very secure. The washer and dryer are also nice although we didn’t use them. The house is very private and quiet up a steep hill with only one neighbor. A car or an electric golf cart (48 amps) is necessary to traverse the hill and for going back and forth to town or the beach. On the negative side; while the master bed was comfortable, the other guest rooms had very uncomfortable beds. The kitchen lacked some essential items including wine glasses, soup/salad bowls, tablecloths and place mats. There was no conversation area indoors, just one futon couch in the TV room. To use CDs you had play them through the TV/DVD player which had weak speakers. Our friend brought their iPod docking station with Bose speakers and we rocked! The pool was cold and shady and off to the side so it was really not an asset. The casa has an odd, overall setup with a bedroom with twin beds downstairs off the main living area and the master and a queen bedroom quite isolated upstairs. I would think twice if you had a couple of ten year olds or teenagers downstairs in the twin room on their own at night. The property manager, Ramon, was the best and a great asset to this rental. He was there for us whenever we needed him. We would also like to recommend having a private chef. We used both Daniel at www.sayulitalife.com/mexotik and Sofia at www.sayulitachef.com. Both were amazing! Overall, the house was very nice and we had a wonderful stay in beautiful and FUN Sayulita!"

  • Rest, Relaxation and fun...this is your place

"This unit is fantastic and there is no need to look further for an amazing Punta de Mita vacation rental. My girlfriend and I stayed at this condo for 4 days in mid-February. The place was very welcoming, fabulous, beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. The best part was being able to open the retractable glass doors that created a great indoor-outdoor living space to the spacious lanai, loved the hammocks. With only a few steps from the lanai out to the infinity pool was heavenly, so quiet and relaxing. The pool is massive and the grounds are extremely well maintained. The location is incredible-the beach and restaurants are just steps from the condo! Punta de Mita is a quiet little town with very friendly people. We thoroughly enjoyed just exploring the town and taking a boat trip around the Marietas islands which is very easy to charter within town. We tried almost every restaurant on “Restaurant Row”, and every meal was delicious. If you want to eat in, the condo well equipped for cooking. This is a great surfing & paddle boarding area with plenty of opportunities for the inexperienced to learn. We were also a short drive to Puerta Vallarta and other coastal towns, such as Sayulita. Trust me, you won’t regret staying here. Jay and Kim made this trip for us very easy and were VERY helpful with great information about the town and with things to do."

If you are dining on a budget, your best bet is to head to the middle of town and check out the square. The local vendors in the city center often sell birria, which is a local goat stew, and tacos from their hand-driven carts. On the hottest of summer days, you will also find shaved ice with homemade guava and other delicious syrups.

Where to Shop

Whenever you go on vacation, it is always a great idea to bring a souvenir home or even a few gifts for your friends and family. Just south of the town square, you will find row upon row of street vendors selling various arts, crafts, and collectibles. You will also find your fair share of t-shirt stands. Other than the street vendors, there really is not much shopping in Riviera Nayarit. What you will get is plenty of that small-town vibe and handmade crafts.
