"Six friends over 65 had an outstanding week in this beautiful condo right on the beach. We have stayed inside the gates before, but found this end of the beach nicer, quieter and just as safe as the private side. The daily service provided by Dahlia is outstanding. Restaurants were all excellent and even discovered some new ones on the South side of town that were less expensive and more authentic. We even went to Mass on Sunday in the thatched hut next to the soccer fields. Rudi was an excellent boat resource and we really enjoyed his non-typical excursion to the Mariettas. Highly recommend Casa de Mita for dinner one evening and make sure you include time for a trip to San Pancho and Sayulita. Should have stayed for at least two weeks."

  • Perfect, couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay on our trip.

"The location is great, close, but not too close. The lay out of the house is great, each bedroom has it's own bath, and the garden is where we spent much of our time. The property is well maintained and well managed, everyone was very helpful. Don't hesitate, if casa Duende is available for your trip just book it."

  • You really are in the sky!

"We just returned from our trip to San Pancho and, truly, one of the best parts of our trip was our accommodations at Casa Del Cielo!!! Comfortable, spacious and down right amazing views! There were 3 couples and each room was equipped with large beds, room for our stuff and privacy to boot! Another fourth room offered a very private space but the bed was much smaller and less inviting. That said, nothing else was anything other than PERFECT! We loved the pelicans flying at eye level, the few whales, perhaps dolphins and the critters you see in one of the photos came for a visit, too. But they are so tame and cute! We loved the sleepy town of San Pancho and as another reviewer commented, we much prefer it over Sayulita. We stumbled upon a great restaurant near the house, Marplata, it's a hidden gem! Thank you Ana and Diego, it was truly a delight. We hope to come back every year! Just one tip - we highly recommend a car! The walk into town is a little far, especially if you're carrying anything such as groceries, beach amenities, etc."

"We stayed at Casa Tranquila for 2 weeks in April and had a great time. The property is clean, well maintained and Joann, Patricia, Lucila and Ruslan are warm and welcoming. The beach is about a block away and dining amenities are all within walking distance or you can get groceries and eat at home. We stayed in Suzie Wong and were very comfortable. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to get away for some great R&R."

The Riviera Nayarit encompasses every interest, so that even the most demanding traveler will be satisfied. The possibilities for fun are simply endless.

Eating is Half the Fun

During your Riviera Nayarit travel, you will find that food is definitely the focus in this wonderful beachfront town. Travelers can dine off the street or settle into any of the quaint seafood, Mexican, and tapas restaurants night after night and never eat the same thing twice.

If you are dining on a budget, your best bet is to head to the middle of town and check out the square. The local vendors in the city center often sell birria, which is a local goat stew, and tacos from their hand-driven carts. On the hottest of summer days, you will also find shaved ice with homemade guava and other delicious syrups.

Where to Shop

Whenever you go on vacation, it is always a great idea to bring a souvenir home or even a few gifts for your friends and family. Just south of the town square, you will find row upon row of street vendors selling various arts, crafts, and collectibles. You will also find your fair share of t-shirt stands. Other than the street vendors, there really is not much shopping in Riviera Nayarit. What you will get is plenty of that small-town vibe and handmade crafts.
