  • Great View and Gentle Breezes

"We stayed here for 10 days and overall it was a good experience. On the plus side is the view… expansive! There is solid wifi, good water pressure and hot water for showers. And we really appreciated amenities like Kleenex, soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and plenty of bottled drinking water. The large glass doors onto the patio were easy to open and close and felt very secure. The washer and dryer are also nice although we didn’t use them. The house is very private and quiet up a steep hill with only one neighbor. A car or an electric golf cart (48 amps) is necessary to traverse the hill and for going back and forth to town or the beach. On the negative side; while the master bed was comfortable, the other guest rooms had very uncomfortable beds. The kitchen lacked some essential items including wine glasses, soup/salad bowls, tablecloths and place mats. There was no conversation area indoors, just one futon couch in the TV room. To use CDs you had play them through the TV/DVD player which had weak speakers. Our friend brought their iPod docking station with Bose speakers and we rocked! The pool was cold and shady and off to the side so it was really not an asset. The casa has an odd, overall setup with a bedroom with twin beds downstairs off the main living area and the master and a queen bedroom quite isolated upstairs. I would think twice if you had a couple of ten year olds or teenagers downstairs in the twin room on their own at night. The property manager, Ramon, was the best and a great asset to this rental. He was there for us whenever we needed him. We would also like to recommend having a private chef. We used both Daniel at www.sayulitalife.com/mexotik and Sofia at www.sayulitachef.com. Both were amazing! Overall, the house was very nice and we had a wonderful stay in beautiful and FUN Sayulita!"

  • Gorgeous retreat with a perfect view of the bay.

"I don't think the photos did this place justice. The view from each of the units is stunning. The grounds are lush and well maintained. Our room was bright and open and the decor was unobtrusive and thoughtful. The place itself is located about 5 minutes up the hill from tiny city center, which can be a bit loud at times, so it offers a welcome retreat from the noise. I would recommend this place to any of my friends."

  • So Relaxing!

"Our stay here over the Christmas vacation was so great! The condo was very nice, clean, beautiful paint job and a perfect size for a family. The views were outstanding and the condo property/pool was very nice. This condo is just a walk down the beach from the fish market and town. There are great restaurants and site seeing tours right in town. We went whale watching and saw TONS of whales! We will be back for sure!"

  • Our Private Oasis!

"This was our 2nd vacation to Casa Amarilla in Sayulita, on both occasions we stayed in the Casa. This trip we brought our 14 yr old daughter along to share in our wonderful discovery . My wife initially found Casa Amarilla on VRBO 3 years ago and Doug and Sheran have been excellent to deal with since that time (all our arrangements have been conducted over the internet). Both trips Sheran arranged for a private cab (Air conditioned SUV)to meet us at the PV airport with cold beer in hand. We did our 1 hour stop at the Mega Store and loaded up groceries and beverages for 2 weeks. We were met at the Casa by Rene, who gave us the usual tour, then it was 2 weeks of rest and relaxation! Very user friendly kitchen, well equipped; the bed is huge and super comfortable and very nice to have laundry facilities in the unit. Our daughter slept on the pullout couch in the living room which was comfy. The Casita's would certainly have beeb big enough for us but we love the privacy of the upper balcony where we started each day with our coffee, watching the exotic birds coming and going from the surrounding palms and being entertained by the activities of the gekkos and the Iguana who like to perch on the stair railing to provide us with an early morning greeting. .The upper patio was expanded with the addition of a a built in seating area under a huge shaded palapa.. The one thing we would change? The BBQ ! Gas or propane instead of charcoal. Tended to be a bit of a pain. But, thats just us! I run a business back home and definitely require access to the internet for a few hours a day.On our first stay, the internet was hit and miss, but it has since been updated and now works flawlessly, even up on the balcony. $13.95 for a month of Skype land line service and you're set. Rosa came every second day for housekeeping and the gentleman (didn't catch his name) manicured the gardens and cleaned the outside areas. They have a "pool boy" who does a fantastic job of keeping the pool fresh and comes more often when the Casa and Casitas are full. Any of our concerns were emailed to Sheran and answered and dealt with immediately. We were absolutely blown away when Doug and Sheran couriered us a CASE of Dom Perignon AND flew in fresh lobster from Atlantic Canada! But, I'm sure they do that for all the renters! :) Folks, you can't go wrong with Casa Amarilla. Be sure to check out Mary's Restaurant. Fabulous! Cheers, John, KC and Lexi Langley BC"
