  • Best anniversary vacation ever

"Our daily routine- fruit and coffee outside in the morning, watching the bay wake up. Multiple dips in the pool. Reading, painting, studying, exploring, eating good food and sipping good drinks. Savoring the time together. We just returned from another wonderful 2 week vacation at Casa de Banderas, this time celebrating our 40th anniversary. The privacy of the pool, the view and being steps away from the beach, the beautiful home, and the friendly people make this work for us... so much so that we've stayed here several times over the years. The only way I'm able to pry myself out of there is knowing we'll return. The house is tastefully appointed with local furnishings and decor and has all the modern conveniences one needs. The location is close enough to everything we want to do and visit yet just far enough away to enjoy relaxation and privacy. Whenever we had a question about something, Vanessa or Allen (sp?) the local property managers were just a phone call away. We've never met the owners, (only emailed and conversed by phone) but it's obvious they put time and effort into making this place very special. Muchas gracias!"

"Awesome resort with huge growth plans over the next 4 years...Food was great, Service incredible, rooms were perfect and cozy. No guarantee on ocean front but our request was for higher floor was granted....after attending a reasonable no pressure time share presentation we received great discounts and were even offered an ocean view room... Staff was very professional and helpful. Would recommend everyone go to the rhythm of the night experience! cheap price for 5 hours of entertainment, incredible food and all the beverages you can handle."

  • A Unique and Wonderful Place

"I booked a week at the Casita with my fiancee, not quite knowing what to expect. What we arrived to was shockingly wonderful. I can honestly say the photos do not come close to capturing the beauty of the scenery and detail of the home, not to mention the care and thoughtfulness that was provided. The owner has managed to create a homey atmosphere, yet modern and chic throughout. Being a complete snobby germaphobe, I was really impressed with the degree of pristine cleanliness and new condition everything was in. The views are picture perfect and once again are not captured to their full potential in the photos. Every morning we had coffee and breakfast under the palapa, and every night we would lay out on the lawn chairs and stare at the stars. We didn't rent a car but if I were to return again I would definitely get one. San Pancho is a special little town, quite removed from the usual tourist scene with pleasant people, fantastic restaurants and beautiful nature. I would definitely stay again and would recommend the casita to anyone looking for relaxation, romance, or just a break from the usual. Thanks everyone for all your help and hospitality."

  • Awesome experience - would definitely recommend to friends/family

"Vista Hermosa was an awesome home-base for our stay in Sayulita. The home is obviously well cared for by the owners and the local family that maintains it. It has all of the furnishings for a comfortable stay, plus tons of extra supplies for a comfortable visit. Our kids are 5 and 10 and everything was fine for them - note that they are excellent swimmers, so having the pool was a great bonus for them. The stairs in the house are tiled and somewhat steep, so families with younger children should take this into consideration. The view from the house is amazing - I enjoyed my morning coffee, afternoon beer, and evening margaritas from the patio (I miss the view already)! Also, the owners were very helpful ahead of our trip. They seem like a great family and this comes through in the house/property. I would definitely stay at this house again!"

The Riviera Nayarit encompasses every interest, so that even the most demanding traveler will be satisfied. The possibilities for fun are simply endless.

Eating is Half the Fun

During your Riviera Nayarit travel, you will find that food is definitely the focus in this wonderful beachfront town. There are so many dishes and local favorites to choose from that you may gain a pant size or two while on vacation! Travelers can dine off the street or settle into any of the quaint seafood, Mexican, and tapas restaurants night after night and never eat the same thing twice.

If you are dining on a budget, your best bet is to head to the middle of town and check out the square. The local vendors in the city center often sell birria, which is a local goat stew, and tacos from their hand-driven carts. On the hottest of summer days, you will also find shaved ice with homemade guava and other delicious syrups.

Where to Shop

Whenever you go on vacation, it is always a great idea to bring a souvenir home or even a few gifts for your friends and family. Just south of the town square, you will find row upon row of street vendors selling various arts, crafts, and collectibles. You will also find your fair share of t-shirt stands. Other than the street vendors, there really is not much shopping in Riviera Nayarit. What you will get is plenty of that small-town vibe and handmade crafts.

Choose Riviera Nayarit Resorts Instead of Hotels

Why stay in a stuffy hotel when you have your pick of Riviera Nayarit resorts? The accommodations in town range from the most luxurious resorts and hotels to the most modern rentals any family could hope for. Whether you are traveling for your honeymoon or a family adventure, there will be a lodging solution that meets your needs. No matter what, you will return home both refreshed and rejuvenated.

If golfing really is not your thing, there is a wide variety of other activities in the area. Get a taste of the region’s true essence by taking a tour of the city.
