  • Brian, Linda, and Family

"We had a fabulous time. What a wonderful place you have and the staff was the best, they became like family. They went beyond what we were expecting. They even did decorations for our Grandsons 4th birthday, and made a special effort to find a piñata (Batman, his favorite) for him. Everything was great. It will be hard to go to all-inclusive resort because of the treatment, the privacy of our own pool, and the fabulous food. This stay was unbelievable. We were quite content to spend time at the Villa playing in the pool, at the beach, or in the ocean. Each evening we would sit by the beach, our own private area and watch the spectacular sunsets. We never felt that we needed to leave the Villa because everything we needed was right there. Thanks again for letting us use your place."

  • A Wonderful Week

"Let us start by affirming every positive comment in the previous reviews, please consider them as the first portion of this review. Notice that they are all 5 stars ratings; each star is well deserved. Our group consisted of two sun lovers and two shade lovers. Three great cooks and four great eaters. Casa de Sueños handled this mix with grace. A list of memorable moments may give the best flavor of our stay. Picking plantains from the garden and frying them up for breakfast. Watching the full moon rise over the mountains from the roof. Walking to the beach in the morning and picking up a pastry from the local bakery on the way (available at 11am; always eaten in the next few blocks). The private pool: reducing ones core temperature to something a Seattleite finds comfortable, a daily and most pleasant experience. The rural setting provided: • Dark nights and exceptional star gazing. • Morning sounds of doves cooing, rosters crowing, and cows calling to be milked. • A pleasing “Hola, buenas días}” from most locals you pass. • Birds galore, over 300 species listed, in the back yard we were entertained by: Great-tailed Grackle, Mexican Cacique, and Streak-backed Oriole. We had a car and made six trips to other places: Sayulita, San Pancho, Guayabitos, La Peñita, Chacaia, and Playa el Venado (a wonderful beach south of town). Casa de Sueños is a great base for such day trips. Each of the towns and beaches are uniquely wonderful. Binoculars and bird and star books or apps are helpful."

  • Off the beaten path

"This house was the perfect place for our family vacation. It was our first time in Sayulita, and for most of us, our first trip to Mexico. The house is about a 10 minute walk into town, tucked in a neighborhood with mainly local residents (there is a restaurant and several small stores nearby). The house could prove to be challenging to locate, but the property manager (friendly and helpful) met us in town and lead us to this hidden gem. There are two bedrooms in the main house with plenty of room and storage with a full bath in between. The master is upstairs with a separate entry on the outside of house. The pool is small but was perfect for my two kids (6 and 9 years old) who would start and end every day there. It was also nice for a quick dip after a day at the beach. There is a patio, outside dinning table, lounge chairs by the pool and a small yard. All completely enclosed for your own private villa. There is a modern kitchen with counter seats for four. Off the kitchen is a living area with a seating area and a CD player with a great collection of music. All the bedrooms, and the living room, have both ceiling fans and air conditioners. We really enjoyed Casa Febrero. It felt like our home away from home. We were glad we did not stay right in the city where it was noisy and crowded. Doing so, we would have missed local flavor we experienced staying in the outskirts of town."

"Great location, great view! Overall, a very attractive condo, but in need of a little TLC and a little bit of elbow grease."

Eating is Half the Fun

Where to Shop

Whenever you go on vacation, it is always a great idea to bring a souvenir home or even a few gifts for your friends and family. Just south of the town square, you will find row upon row of street vendors selling various arts, crafts, and collectibles. You will also find your fair share of t-shirt stands. Other than the street vendors, there really is not much shopping in Riviera Nayarit. What you will get is plenty of that small-town vibe and handmade crafts.
