  • Awesome house in the perfect location.

"I came down with some friends to attend a wedding and the house was perfect. It is close enough to the center of town (just a few short blocks) for direct access to all that Sayulita has to offer but on the North side of the bridge so you don't have to deal with dust and noise. It is a traditional styled house that makes you feel like you are truly part of the local scene not some American hotel airlifted to a beach. The roof deck is great for the morning coffee and enjoying the evening breezes."

  • Fifth year in our home away from home

"This is our fifth time staying in this condo. We started with a one month stay and now stay ten weeks. We love staying here. The owner of the condo is very personable and accommodating. He provides a property manager for you in case you have any problems in the condo- he is very attentive to your needs. The condo itself is very nice-comfortable king bed and well equipped kitchen if you care to cook in-if not the Marina is a short walk away. The grocery store is within walking distance, the bus stops in front of Portofino and cabs are readily available. The pool and beach area are beautiful and the poolside grill has great food and service at reasonable prices. We have made many friendships just by going to the pool. Of course, downtown Puerto Vallarta with all it has to offer is a bus ride away. The port and the Marina area offer many options for water sightseeing trips. In our opinion it just doesn't get better than this!"

  • A Home Away From Home

"This spacious, comfortable home was great when we stayed for the month of July 2014. Located in a quiet area on the west side of Ajijic, we enjoyed morning walks with our dog along the lakeshore. Having a car with us was convenient, but there is a local bus stop on the corner a block away and for 4 pesos, it's a quick ride to the town plaza. We had most of our meals at local restaurants (amazing choices here for a small town), but cooked breakfast every morning and most lunches here in the well-equipped kitchen. Filtered water system was a big plus. We never got sick and used tap water for coffee, brushing teeth, drinking, etc. We spent most of our time in the upstairs area, bright and airy, feeling almost like we were in a treehouse. The well-maintained garden provided beautiful flowers, soft grass, and lush green views, both of the steep mountains that rise behind the house to the partial views of Lake Chapala. The friendly cleaning lady came 3 times a week, patiently helping us with our Spanish. There are 3 very nice restaurants and a small art gallery within a 5 or 10 minute walk. We have rented many times through either VRBO or AirBnb and have always enjoyed the rental home choice more than a hotel. This place was unique in that it felt so much like home so quickly. Oh, strong Wi-Fi and brand new flatscreen TV too. Highly recommended."

  • our stay

"What a view! We loved coffee in the morning and sunsets on the balcony. Enough room at the table for meals outside, or stretching out on the comfy chairs, this outdoor space was hard to beat. Inside was spacious, clean, and modern with plenty of room to spread out. We loved relaxing under the palapa, conveniently nestled between the beach, bar, pool and restaurant. We used the boogie boards provided to hit the waves each morning. The hotel staff was helpful when booking activies off the property. We did not purchase the all inclusive at Dreams, but found some great food options within walking distance. We had a car and also purchased groceries to take advantage of the kitchen. When we go back, we are definitely going back to this place!"

Mexican Riviera Travel Tips

Getting to Mexican Riviera Vacation Rentals

The Mexican Riviera refers to an extensive region on the western coast of Mexico. It includes more than 20 cities that are located along the coastline. Some of the more well-known resort areas include Acapulco, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Sinaloa, and Ensenada. There are several major international airports in the region and your arrival point will largely be determined by where you will be spending your vacation. There are regional airports at both Acapulco and Mazlatan, and many flights to this area route via Mexico City which is located further inland. If you will be traveling to the Baja California Peninsula then your best option is to fly into Tijuana which is located just south of the U.S. border. From there, you can rent a car and drive to your destination. There are no rail connections and only a few bus routes along the coast. The best way to get around is to fly into the closest international or regional airport and rent a car. Depending on where you are staying, you could also simply use taxi transportation from the airport.

Stylish Hospitality at Mexican Riviera Vacation Houses

Many of the rental homes are typically spacious and can accommodate small groups of friends or large families. Often between 10 and 12 guests can stay in one villa without feeling cramped. The living areas are generally large and many of the homes have outdoor patios where you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that all guests have sufficient privacy and personal space. The kitchens tend to be the center of the homes where families can dine together and catch up on the day’s activities. Modern appliances ensure that vacation catering is easy and convenient. Many of the vacation homes are available with a staff who ensures that laundry, cleaning and meals are taken care of. Many of the vacation homes are set along the coastline, providing easy access to the beaches.

Sun and Fun at Mexican Riviera Condos

The west coast of Mexico is known for its consistent sunshine, great vacation vibe, long stretches of beaches and excellent surfing. Typically, many of the visitors attracted to the many cities and towns along the coast are sun lovers and surfers. With the development of kite surfing and wind surfing, you will see many colorful sails leaping up above the waves on a day when the conditions are good. Beachcombers can enjoy long leisurely strolls along the beaches and relish the sound on the surf pounding on the beach. There are many historical and cultural attractions in the cities. You can visit museums and monuments and browse local craft stalls for souvenirs. Some souvenirs include bracelets and handcrafted jewelry, copper and brass items, carvings, paintings, and textiles.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Puerto Vallarta Vacation Rentals on the Mexican Riviera

Puerto Vallarta is a popular vacation destination because it has some of the best weather on Mexico’s western coastline. Throughout the year, the average daily temperature varies between 70 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes it an ideal destination for sun lovers. The late summer months are typically the low season as they are characterized by very high temperatures and heavy rains. Occasionally, tropical storms blow in between July and September bringing strong winds and torrential downpours. The peak travel season occurs during the drier winter months between December and April. During this time, temperatures are still warm and many people from icy northern climates travel to the Mexican Riviera for a mid-winter break.
