  • Great place to stay

"The Velas Vallarta is a wonderful resort and we had a great vacation. However the beach is not as good (stones and gravel in places) Not nearly as nice as the beach at Bucerias where we have stayed before. Our main criticism relates to the equipment provided in the kitchen for cooking. We accepted the fact that there was not an oven and only a cooktop with 2 elements. Who wants to spend time on holiday cooking oven meals? Cooking anything was a challenge .There was only one saucepan with no lid. There was not a serrated knife to slice bread (we bought one and left it there), The potato peeler was of the lowest quality, bent and twisted . We would have loved a small kettle as we are tea drinkers. also a cheese grater. When we arrived there was unused food in the fridge. There was stiff, dirty dish clothes in the bottom drawer and there was no teas towels to dry the dishes ( we bought these) A folder with information regarding how to access wi fi, how to get rid of our grabage, TV and dvd info, info regarding the restaurants at the resort, and the fact that we could open an account and charge meals and drinks to our room. In spite of the above we really enjoyed staying here and would rent again."

  • Very Peaceful

"This home is in a very peaceful location, and the neighborhood is lovely! The home is the perfect description of relaxation. My only issue was (and my own fault) I didn't realize that there was no television. Overall, it was a great place to stay! The owners were very nice and easy to work with, thanks Gab and Denise!bclz"

  • Wonderful stay at Casa de Sophia

"My husband and I stayed upstairs in the Bird of Paradise, and we could not have been more pleased with the comfort of our stay. The apartment has two bedrooms, a lovely and private patio off of the master bedroom, full kitchen with everything needed, a very large living room with surrounding windows, and the palapa roof gives it the authentic feel of a truly Mexican home. We enjoyed the pool in the beautiful backyard and garden area, as well as storage space in the garage for our surfboards. The house is located in a great and safe neighborhood with many friendly local people to visit with, and the walk through town to the beach makes it easy to keep up with all the awesome things happening in San Pancho. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable on the area. We would recommend staying here to our closest friends, and we can't wait to return ourselves."

  • Exceptional beachfront vacation location

"Enjoyed our third stay in the last twelve months at Punta Arena 1E. The condo is immaculate in every way, the property manager is ever so accommodating and owners are a pleasure to deal with. The location could not be more perfect: beach, pool, sunsets and a huge array of dining options are only steps away. We are returning for sure!"

Mexican Riviera Travel Tips

Getting to Mexican Riviera Vacation Rentals

The Mexican Riviera refers to an extensive region on the western coast of Mexico. It includes more than 20 cities that are located along the coastline. Some of the more well-known resort areas include Acapulco, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Sinaloa, and Ensenada. There are several major international airports in the region and your arrival point will largely be determined by where you will be spending your vacation. There are regional airports at both Acapulco and Mazlatan, and many flights to this area route via Mexico City which is located further inland. If you will be traveling to the Baja California Peninsula then your best option is to fly into Tijuana which is located just south of the U.S. border. From there, you can rent a car and drive to your destination. There are no rail connections and only a few bus routes along the coast. The best way to get around is to fly into the closest international or regional airport and rent a car. Depending on where you are staying, you could also simply use taxi transportation from the airport.

Stylish Hospitality at Mexican Riviera Vacation Houses

Many of the rental homes are typically spacious and can accommodate small groups of friends or large families. Often between 10 and 12 guests can stay in one villa without feeling cramped. The living areas are generally large and many of the homes have outdoor patios where you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that all guests have sufficient privacy and personal space. The kitchens tend to be the center of the homes where families can dine together and catch up on the day’s activities. Modern appliances ensure that vacation catering is easy and convenient. Many of the vacation homes are available with a staff who ensures that laundry, cleaning and meals are taken care of. Many of the vacation homes are set along the coastline, providing easy access to the beaches.

Sun and Fun at Mexican Riviera Condos

The west coast of Mexico is known for its consistent sunshine, great vacation vibe, long stretches of beaches and excellent surfing. Typically, many of the visitors attracted to the many cities and towns along the coast are sun lovers and surfers. With the development of kite surfing and wind surfing, you will see many colorful sails leaping up above the waves on a day when the conditions are good. Beachcombers can enjoy long leisurely strolls along the beaches and relish the sound on the surf pounding on the beach. There are many historical and cultural attractions in the cities. You can visit museums and monuments and browse local craft stalls for souvenirs. Some souvenirs include bracelets and handcrafted jewelry, copper and brass items, carvings, paintings, and textiles.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Puerto Vallarta Vacation Rentals on the Mexican Riviera

Puerto Vallarta is a popular vacation destination because it has some of the best weather on Mexico’s western coastline. Throughout the year, the average daily temperature varies between 70 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes it an ideal destination for sun lovers. The late summer months are typically the low season as they are characterized by very high temperatures and heavy rains. Occasionally, tropical storms blow in between July and September bringing strong winds and torrential downpours. The peak travel season occurs during the drier winter months between December and April. During this time, temperatures are still warm and many people from icy northern climates travel to the Mexican Riviera for a mid-winter break.
