  • Photo says it all

"Better late than never - I had good intentions of writing a review as soon as we got home but work interfered. Just a spectacular view from the patio and private pool - looking at the photo brings back great memories. Dolores was very quick to respond to our questions on any topic - a very quiet spot well away from the noise of the hotel zone We found the club pool pristine and the staff to be super friendly and eager to please We used the free boat nearly every day as well as waving down the local Playa Linda bus outside the main gate. Comfortable and well furnished apartment My husband wished for more English TV on satellite as it was Olympics and Superbowl but managed with computer in the end. Be sure to buy your groceries in Zihua as there is very limited stock in Ixtapa. Only thing to watch out for is when they spray for mosquitoes during the week (usually late afternoon/early evening)- be sure the drapes are drawn and the bedroom windows closed You need to be fit enough to walk up and down the steps to the condo as well as back and forth to the club area - great exercise throughout the week!"

  • A Perfect Vacation

"We loved this condo, with its great Mexican decor, beautiful tile work, high quality furnishings, and its VIEW.....we thought we were in paradise! And we really were. The private pool made it even better (if that's possible) and we spent most of our time in it during the days and evenings. It was a perfect vacation! Our hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating to our needs and for that we are very appreciative. We hired the housekeeper, Veronica, to come cook us dinner one night. While we relaxed in the pool, Veronica cooked us an amazing Mexican feast! We had enough food left over to last us for several days and the cost was VERY affordable, less than a nice dinner out. We loved the location of the condo as well. This was our 2nd time in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. La Ropa beach, on the edges of Zihua, offers a quieter experience than that of either town. Zihua is close enough to walk to but using the bus to go back and forth was cheap and easy, and taxis are everywhere (and reasonable). We felt it was the best of everything, the shopping and dining in town as well as the peaceful jungles behind the condo and the incredible bay view in front of us that we soaked up every day. Again, it was paradise! We really liked Bandito's in town. We were able to watch the Seahawks win yet another game! And the food was better than what we could get on the beaches of La Ropa (although some of these allowed seating right in the sand and that made it fun!) Overall, this was one of the best vacations ever and we will most definitely stay in this condo for the next one in Mexico!"

  • Incredible Views and Stay at this Oasis on a Hill

"We booked this condo for our honeymoon and were happily surprised when we walked in. It was hard to believe, but it is nicer in person than in the photos. Everything is impeccably maintained, spotless and in order. We felt very comfortable in the space and it was our home away from home for a few days. We shopped in town, which is a short walk or taxi ride down the mountain, and cooked a few nights. A few nights, we ate in PV. We even found this little French bakery where we got the best pastries for breakfast. The inifiniti pool and views of the bay are a highlight. The space is peaceful and beautiful. We highly recommend it!"

  • Perfect Oceanfront unit in the best Condo in Puerto Vallarta!

"We had an amazing time in this condo last week. One week was definitely not enough time to spend here. Very beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed during our week. Molino de Agua is in the best location in old town Puerto Vallarta, walking distance to everything was great and being their over Halloween was quite a trip. We visited with my wife, 2 year old son, my mother, her boyfriend and my best friend. The master suite was huge! Big luxury bathroom with large walk in shower, large jetted tub, private toilet, double sinks and large enough walk-in closet that we could keep our son's pack n play type bed in. The rest of my family and friend also had great accommodations with each having king beds, bathrooms and flat screen TVs. Also we were a bunch of wussies with the humidity and the AC worked great!! Each room had their own controls so nobody had to battle over the temperature, another great perk. The property manager and her assistant were very attentive and very easy to get a hold of, they were also very accommodating for a couple items in the condo that needed repair. They had repairmen in to fix them within 24 hours. The maid and other staff of the condo were great and very friendly. 24 HR security made everyone feel very safe and secure. Also several security cameras and key card entries. There was always a security guard at the Malecon gate to let us out and let us back in. There's also a very nice private beach area just for Molino de Agua and they do a great job of making sure that stays private. There's no need to rent a car unless you absolutely want to. There are many restaurants, bars and shopping with easy walking distance. Taxis are usually right outside the main entrance if you need to go anywhere like a large grocery store like Wal-Mart or Mega. We did the taxi twice, once to the Mega and once to the Marina and it cost around $7 each way. We even hired a local chef one night to come in and cook dinner for all of us on my mom's birthday and it was superb and reasonably priced considering we had enough food for five people and 2 days. The condo's pool was great for adults and our son. There was plenty of shallow areas for our son to play in so it's very safe for children. One tip: The pool bar didn't open until the day we left :( so if you want to take advantage of that, plan to visit after November 1st. We would definitely recommend staying here again to anyone!"

Mexican Riviera Travel Tips

Getting to Mexican Riviera Vacation Rentals

The Mexican Riviera refers to an extensive region on the western coast of Mexico. It includes more than 20 cities that are located along the coastline. Some of the more well-known resort areas include Acapulco, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Sinaloa, and Ensenada. There are several major international airports in the region and your arrival point will largely be determined by where you will be spending your vacation. There are regional airports at both Acapulco and Mazlatan, and many flights to this area route via Mexico City which is located further inland. If you will be traveling to the Baja California Peninsula then your best option is to fly into Tijuana which is located just south of the U.S. border. From there, you can rent a car and drive to your destination. There are no rail connections and only a few bus routes along the coast. The best way to get around is to fly into the closest international or regional airport and rent a car. Depending on where you are staying, you could also simply use taxi transportation from the airport.

Stylish Hospitality at Mexican Riviera Vacation Houses

Many of the rental homes are typically spacious and can accommodate small groups of friends or large families. Often between 10 and 12 guests can stay in one villa without feeling cramped. The living areas are generally large and many of the homes have outdoor patios where you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that all guests have sufficient privacy and personal space. The kitchens tend to be the center of the homes where families can dine together and catch up on the day’s activities. Modern appliances ensure that vacation catering is easy and convenient. Many of the vacation homes are available with a staff who ensures that laundry, cleaning and meals are taken care of. Many of the vacation homes are set along the coastline, providing easy access to the beaches.

Sun and Fun at Mexican Riviera Condos

The west coast of Mexico is known for its consistent sunshine, great vacation vibe, long stretches of beaches and excellent surfing. Typically, many of the visitors attracted to the many cities and towns along the coast are sun lovers and surfers. With the development of kite surfing and wind surfing, you will see many colorful sails leaping up above the waves on a day when the conditions are good. Beachcombers can enjoy long leisurely strolls along the beaches and relish the sound on the surf pounding on the beach. There are many historical and cultural attractions in the cities. You can visit museums and monuments and browse local craft stalls for souvenirs. Some souvenirs include bracelets and handcrafted jewelry, copper and brass items, carvings, paintings, and textiles.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Puerto Vallarta Vacation Rentals on the Mexican Riviera

Puerto Vallarta is a popular vacation destination because it has some of the best weather on Mexico’s western coastline. Throughout the year, the average daily temperature varies between 70 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes it an ideal destination for sun lovers. The late summer months are typically the low season as they are characterized by very high temperatures and heavy rains. Occasionally, tropical storms blow in between July and September bringing strong winds and torrential downpours. The peak travel season occurs during the drier winter months between December and April. During this time, temperatures are still warm and many people from icy northern climates travel to the Mexican Riviera for a mid-winter break.
