Casa Romanita - Beautiful, Comfortable, Private Retreat
"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Romanita. We have chosen to revisit the same property multiple times due to the exquisite Art Deco architecture, private pool, rooftop patio, and full kitchen that allow us to really feel at home. Our daughter loves this home, as it is very kid friendly and only a short block to the beach!
The historic neighborhood is fascinating with Mexican Colonial colors, tropical plants, art galleries and lots of new restaurants sprouting up each time we visit, in addition to our old favorites.
El Presidio, Water's Edge and Hector's Bistro, only blocks from the house are a must!
Cannot wait for our return!"

"There isn't much more I can add to the previous descriptions of this gorgeous property. The sunsets were beautiful but the moon reflecting off the water at night was just as nice. There were always chairs available beside the pool. Even better than the accommodations were the people who call this property home for the winter. They introduced themselves and invited us to join their activities. The staff who work here pride themselves on greeting you by name. There's even a cat named Lily at the front gate. This is a quiet community setting, not a party resort. After a few days I contacted the owner to reserve for next year. My husband is taking fishing gear next time as it's easy to fish off the beach. One tip to save time and money is to have Alejandro at the desk downstairs send a 5 gallon jug of water to your room for 20 pesos instead of purchasing water at the grocery store. This was one of the best Mexican vacations we have taken and we're looking forward to seeing people we met next year. Wish I could have stayed longer."

"For us this was a very interesting change of pace as we are typically time share exchangers. We hop around resorts every few weeks in the golden zone but nothing was available for our last week, the start of Samana Santa so we gave VRBO a try. Having not yet ventured into the historic zone we filled our last week with eating out at many amazing restaurants (Angelina's our fav.) and strolling and soaking up the ambiance. Watching the evening crowds and partiers from the vantage of the 7th story was better than anything on tv :) When ready for bed sealing up the windows and putting on a/c shut out all the noise so it was perfect. Daytime traffic was not annoying even tho it was a busy time in Mzt. Lovely relaxing a.m.'s on the balcony gazing at the view of Mazatlan's bay and coastline and listening to the waves. Infinity poolside was a quiet place to read and not be bothered by vendors while enjoying a lovely view. Not a far walk to a beach if desired, which we like to do short walks looking for beach glass. The condo itself was very clean and well equipped as was the building itself. Also nice comfy king bed. Great location right across from the cliff diver tower. Pet friendly building but not sure if this particular suite is. We will use this property again."
