  • A GEM

"This condo/apartment was the perfect fit for our family. A family wedding brought us back to Mazatlan and instead of staying in the pricey and somewhat inaccessible Zona Dorada, we chose to stay in the central area of Mazatlán. A bus, pulmonia or walk was all we needed to reach our destinations. The condo/apt. was clean, well appointed ( the kitchen was perfect for cooking for 8), and a fabulous lay out. Family members could have lots of together time in the living room/kitchen bar area or retreat to their air conditioned bedrooms. Everyone felt at home. When we arrived the internet was not working and Amalia assured us that she would return with a repairman. True to her word, she returned a few hours later with a repairman. A Magic Jack telephone provided phone service to the USA, though not really needed, it was a comfort to know that we could be reached if needed. If I could ask for one more amenity, it would be a larger balcony/ window to view the Malecón and the glorious ocean front, trivial - I know. Our family loves to walk/run in the early morning and evening and the location on the Malecón was wonderful. Walking to the mercado and the Centro Historico was easy- the Mega(supermarket) was a short bus ride away and an ATM was literally next door. Convenience and fun surrounded us. We are ready to return next year!"

  • Vacation in the sky, watching pelicans flying by

"The pictures of this condo don't do it justice. It is simply breathtaking. This is indeed a luxury condo, beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you could possibly need or want, in a perfect location with easy access to restaurants and transportation to centro and other parts of Mazatlan. The weather was a perfect 80 degrees (warm for January) with little wind most days, so we were able to enjoy sitting out on the huge terrace overlooking the water, the islands, watching whales, pelicans, dolphins, sailboats, sunset. There were beautiful views of endless beaches and city lights from every room. Ocean Palms has a lovely pool and hot tub, and the long, wide beach is right out front. Often we would walk to restaurants on the beach rather than using the streets. Sometimes neighboring night spots and beach bandas in Mazatlan can get offensively loud, but that was easily overcome by turning on the fabulous sound system and our favorite music at a normal decibel level, or by lowering the storm shutters. The owners thoughtfully labelled all the electrical switches, and provided plenty of paper towels, toilet tissue and other essentials that often aren't provided in a vacation rental. We like to eat in sometimes and the kitchen was fully equipped with every tool and utensil I would use at home-- with the minor exception of a salad spinner ;-) Not complaining, just amazed at how well stocked it is. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. We were lulled to sleep by the waves at night. Huge marble showers and a jacuzzi tub and plenty of fluffy towels added to the feeling of luxury. Communication with the owner and caretakers was excellent, and onsite staff was very helpful and attentive. The condo was spotlessly clean and gleaming and very well maintained. Minor issues we had with wifi connection were quickly attended to. We watched the Super Bowl at the nearby Saloon Sports Bar, which was a lot of fun and had good food, good prices, excellent service. Bloody B's is a new restaurant a short walk from Ocean Palms that has a very good menu and prices. We were glad to be in Mazatlan for First Friday Artwalk downtown. Afterwards, we enjoyed a fantastic gourmet meal, reasonably priced, in a beautiful restaurant, The Water's Edge, located in Olas Altas on Sixto Osuna next to the delightful shop Casa Etnika. We were here for two magical weeks, and it was much too short. We hope to come back for a longer stay. Everything was perfect!"

  • High End Low Key!

"This is a very nice upscale condo and property for extended vacations or work. Wi-Fi worked great not only at our condo but on the property. Easy access from the lobby to the elevator that goes directly right to your room. Both bath rooms have oversized showers, beds and furniture very comfortable and lots of drawers and shelves for storing your clothing items for your stay. The views front the ocean side and mountain side are underrated, bring your binoculars it is a must! The infinity pool is much bigger than the pictures portray, great design and well kept vegetation surrounding it. The surrounding grounds are kept in immaculate condition, the waterfalls and fish ponds clean and makes for an awesome setting when arriving to the complex. There are a couple of restaurants walking distant on either side of you, a small store at the site and a mini store across the street. One thing we found very handy was an air condition ATM walking distances just to the north of the main entry. If your up for walking 2.1 miles to the north is a small fishing village, restaurants, and vendor stores. The beach has very little waves and please to relax for a change of pace. As I mentioned this is a low setting great for relaxing and enjoying north Mazatlan. You are a bus or short taxi ride away from the marina, Golden Zone, Old Town, with a multitude of things to do. We came at a hotter humid time of year and still managed to have a great experience that included a ton of pool time. We can't say enough about the staff and the all the local people we met, very friendly, easy going attitudes!"

  • Peaceful Paradise

"I've stayed at this condo twice and loved it both times. The condo itself is immaculate, well furnished, and has everything you need for the perfect beach vacation. The property is also wonderful. I love the pool, the café, and the quiet beach cabana areas. The staff are friendly and helpful. The property never felt crowded like many of the hotels in The Gold Zone or Old Town. I felt like I never had to leave, but there was plenty to do nearby if I chose to go out for dinner to one of the hotels or restaurants nearby or into Mazatlán proper."
