"First visit to Puerto Peñasco and was a bit nervous. The owners were very prompt to answer any questions we had. Emails were replied to quickly and even talked on the phone when needed. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. The pictures don't do the home justice. The home is beautiful and has lots of art detail. We loved the Mexican decor in the home and it also had quality furniture and bedding. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary pots, pans, dishes and small appliances you can think of. We used the BBQ on the patio for dinner each night and enjoyed watching the sunsets. Morning coffees with homemade tamales or fresh Mexican bread was relaxing. There was plenty of room in the home for our family and the private bathrooms in each room was very convenient. Although the home is second row from the beach, the views through every window are beachfront. The beach is steps away. The beach was very clean. I would definitely stay again on our next visit to Rocky Point and would recommend this beautiful home to family and friends. Thank You RitaMarie for sharing your beautiful home with our family."

Excellent and Wonderful Time -Very Safe and a Great Romantic or Family Destination
"My wife and I both lead hectic business and personal lives (she - surgeon, me high tech management). We also have a rambunctious, bright and ever inquisitive 7 year old daughter. We searched through VRBO to find a suitable and safe place to stay during a long weekend getaway. We came across Peggy's great Casita and after reading a number of reviews about its quaintness and proximity to the beach (right on the sand) and that Las Conchas was a large gated and patrolled community, we elected to go despite much concerns about our safety as expressed by other family members and friends. We chose to listen to some elderly neighbors who have been going to Rocky Point for more than 50 years, "Its safe, clean, fun, and the Mexican's want/need tourist dollars to survive. So booked Peggy's casita and headed south.
Rather than write about the actual condo itself, lots of other reviews about that. I thought it would be helpful to address the safety and logistics for those who may be nervous.
The drive to Rocky Point was without traffic and indeed was very scenic. We like the road less traveled so elected to drive down from Phoenix through Maricopa then over to Gila Bend, then Hwy 85 South through Ajo continuing through Why on down to the border through Organ Pipe National Monument and the last U.S. city Lukeville. A beautiful drive that is highly recommended.
The Mexico border crossing is in Sonotya. There is a border stop. Very informal and relaxed. You do recognize the immediate difference in culture and standard of living. Mexico, at least border towns, is a third world existence. I recommend filling your gas tank in Lukeville, though many have said the gas in Mexico is fine, especially in Rocky Point. The drive from Sonoyta to Rocky Point is a nice and relaxed. Note, the speed limit is in Km/hr so though the numbers sound high, the speed in miles/hr is significantly slower. We obeyed all posted traffic signs.
Las Conchas is on the southern end of Rocky Point. There is a very large sign to turn left as you get well into the the city. Hard to miss. We followed the directions as provided by Peggy and found our way to the Las Conchas community security gate without difficulty. The security personnel were very friendly and helpful. We were issued a pass which we displayed on the dash of our vehicle.
We highly recommend a visit to Rocky Point, a great place to go, and to stay at Peggy's Casita. We had a great time."

"We had a very nice stay at this nicely decorated and furnished house. It is a short walk across the street to the beach. We had what we needed in the house, and especially appreciated the very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were also clean and spacious. The living space is roomy and has lots of natural light. The patio dining area is very pleasant; inside dining space is limited.
We will definitely keep this cute house in mind for future visits."

"Unbelievable Property!!!! Was looking for something small for a surprise B Day get away for my girlfriend. Of course as a typical guy I procrastinated till the last minuet and Thank God found Erik and Casa Nirvana. He got our pups and us into the Casita in such short notice and it was even more beautiful then the pics. The security/care taker was so helpful upon arrival and even showed us the amazing main house. We do an annul summer trip with the whole family in June and always stay in Playa Encanto. NOT ANYMORE. Erik and this property is so perfect for us as we never no how many family members are going to be able to make it. Cant wait to come back and show off this GEM to the family in Jun. Thanks again Erik. You're a life saver. Josh"
