"I had a lot riding on my shoulders for planning and finding a place for 13 people to celebrate my husband and sisters 50th. birthdays. Our company flew in from Chicago, Iowa and Northern California. When we arrived at the home the house keepers were just leaving and who else, but the owners of the property! We were so happy to meet the family that so generously opens up their beautiful home for other families to make beautiful memories.
Our favorite place was on the beach and outdoor bar. If you like fishing (which my husband does) then you won't be able to put your fishing pole down. If you love putting your feet in the water and snorkeling then "high tide" time is for you! I highly recommend bringing snorkeling gear. The creatures you see when swimming over the rocks is amazing. We also brought inner tubes to float out in the water on. We had a competitive group so the volleyball and corn hole toss were also put to good use.
We drove in to town three separate times to shop and eat (okay, to drink). We felt safe the entire time we were in Mexico. I might add that we've actually gone to Rocky Point eight different times (just for those of you that are on the fence about traveling there). Restaurants that we go to every visit and highly recommend are, The Friendly Dolphin (this is a must for our family since I have taken a picture of our daughters every time on the steps going in to the restaurant), Mary's (out of this world margaritas and friendly staff) and The Satisfied Frog (another great place to stop for Margaritas). Do you see a pattern? The owner of The Satisfied Frog formally owned the same restaurant in Cave Creek, AZ. We had the pleasure of meeting him in Mexico.
I think this home was perfect for our age group (7 adults and 6 older teenagers). In all of our past visits we have stayed at condominiums on Sandy Beach. Do I like those too?... yes. We did miss having a pool, but that was all!
I hope your stay is as memorable as ours!"

"We have rented extensively in Mexico and this is one of the best homes so far. It is more expensive than others but when splitting costs with a large group becomes less than smaller rentals on a per person basis.
Here is what made EFDM stand out from others: Private pool overlooking the beach, Huge patio high above sea level, Washer and dryer for wet towels, Grid power (not solar), Newer A/C system that worked, Quality whole house sound system including patio with iPod/AUX input, Lighting systems with dimmers on almost every switch (look for the small metal tabs next to the switches), Beautiful walled and lighted private drive to a secured private parking area with locked gate at the road, Daily maid service, and 3 refrigerators.
The Las Conchas area is closer to town than some other beaches and does have a reef/rocks starting about 100 yards out that gets exposed at low tide. For snorkeling or diving or fishing this is good because it provides a habitat for sea life not found at sand only areas like Playa Encanto or Mayan Palace. Just be careful swimming or kayaking at low tide.
Thanks to Scott for allowing us to rent this fantastic house. It's obvious he has put a lot of effort and care into making it what it is."

"The place was very clean and a close drive to town. The beach was right there, it was quiet and peaceful. Jerry the owner was awesome. We were given the name of a local who cooked food for us every night for a very fair price. We had to deposit cash as our deposit via a bank account to hold the place and it was returned to us via cash with absolutely no hassle at the end of our stay. There was a phone to use, a fire pit and a masseuse that would come for a small fee and give a massage on the beach. We would definitely stay again. If I could rate it more than five stars I would. Oh and the color and beauty of the facility would need its own page for review, it was colorful and beautiful."

"Got back from our second stay at La Miradora yesterday and again it didn't disappoint. Nicely equipped kitchen for cooking all the fresh seafood acquired at the Malecon, The beach is a short walk. Love the views from the balcony and the calming sound of the sea. Very comfortable living area. We'll be back."
