"The Nirvana Casita is a nice little house next to the main house, right on the beach. The beach is gorgeous, and we saw pilot whales and dolphins right out in front! The place is great, with beautiful views from both the kitchen/living room, and the bedroom. Although it could technically accommodate four people if two of them slept on the futon, it would be incredibly tight. For two people, though, it was very comfortable. The only real problem we had was with internet access. We were told up front that the internet access in the casita was sketchy, but that we could get access fine on the (very lovely) patio. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We were unable to get any access at all. HOWEVER--we contacted the owner, and he was super-responsive about trying to solve the problem. He quickly had the caretaker come and relocate the wifi extender, but unfortunately, this did not fix the problem. When he learned that it did not help, the owner had the caretaker replace the wifi router in the main house. Unfortunately, this did not help the reception on the casita patio. As somewhat of a techie myself, it was pretty apparent that the problem was not with the router itself, but with the extender. I am sure that if the extender was replaced, the problem would be solved. That being said, the owner was fantastic. Because we needed internet service to do a little work while we were on vacation, we had to go into the village and use the wifi at one of the restaurants. The owner very generously paid for our dinner each day that we had to use the internet at the restaurant. All in all the place is amazing, and we will definitely return!"

"The place was very clean and a close drive to town. The beach was right there, it was quiet and peaceful. Jerry the owner was awesome. We were given the name of a local who cooked food for us every night for a very fair price. We had to deposit cash as our deposit via a bank account to hold the place and it was returned to us via cash with absolutely no hassle at the end of our stay. There was a phone to use, a fire pit and a masseuse that would come for a small fee and give a massage on the beach. We would definitely stay again. If I could rate it more than five stars I would. Oh and the color and beauty of the facility would need its own page for review, it was colorful and beautiful."

"The unit is extremely well stocked (even had plastic containers and sandwich bags!), the beds are comfortable, the wifi is fast and flawless, the TVs work great, the view is outstanding (from both sides!) Plenty of room for six adults. The staff of Las Palomas were very helpful and friendly. The ONLY "demerit" would be for housekeeping. They were sporadic and we never had enough towels. I'd just as soon not have daily service, so it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. The owner was outstanding - very responsive, helped us get in early and stay a little longer, and answered calls/emails quickly. We ate out once at the Blue Marlin near the Malecon. Exceptional food and service. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to friends."
