  • From 3 Prairie Provinces to Paradise

"We stayed at Villa Turquesa for 10 days, 3 generations and 14 people! Everyone was very comfortable, and never felt crowded at all. This was our first vacation rental and we were surprised that it was far above our expectations as the pictures don't do this property justice. The Kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, a full fridge and an upright freezer, gas stove with oven, and all small appliances you might want, the only thing missing is a dishwasher. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, all with an ensuite bathroom. The view from the patio is beautiful and you are steps from some of the best snorkeling ever, the entrance is rocky but you can walk to a sandy area to enter if you like. We were greeted by Jorge who was great for info on everything we might want or need,he arranged fishing trips and a golf day, and helped with everything from heat rash to transportation, he also cooked for us 2 nights which was terrific and less expensive than eating in a restaurant. Olga and Rosy were our housekeepers and managed to keep everything spotless with 14 people on the go. Carlos was the gardener and he cleaned the pool daily and brought us fresh coconuts. The pool was fun and refreshing. We used the BBQ often and it worked great for cooking for the group. The kayaks were used every day.The villa is not within walking distance to restaurants or shopping so we would recommend a rental car as driving in this area is very easy, taxis are easy to get but are expensive and can only hold 4 people. Collectivo buses on the highway were used to go to Playa del Carmen, Excaret and a few restaurants. The security on site was very friendly and helpful to call taxis. We can't wait to return and visit with our new friends at Villa Turquesa who helped make this trip so special."

  • Blue Moon, you put a dream in my heart

"Very nice casita, steps from Half Moon Bay. The private courtyard is very nice for meals and hanging out, and you can hear the waves crashing outside in the bay. The bay area is nice, has lounge chairs and plenty of shade under tiki style areas, beach towels are supplied and changed out daily. Be careful entering the bay, there are a lot of rocks/coral as you enter, but the swimming is awesome. The neighbors are very nice and some of them live here nearly year-round. It is very quiet, and even though this is a ground floor unit- you do not hear anyone walking around above. The bed is large and comfy and kitchen is just the right size. There is daily maid service included. Akumal is a nice, laid back little place, definitely a great place to chill. We rented bikes from Juan at the management company, and that is a great way to get around, and you can easily store them in the courtyard as it has a locked door. We would definitely return again!"

  • Amazing!

"We just stayed at Villa Gauguin for a week. I can't say enough how much we loved this villa. The house is absolutely immaculate, yet still comfortable and livable. The house is right on Yal Ku lagoon. The waters just in front of the house are fun for snorkeling. There is a fresh water river that flows right into the lagoon. This can cause some halocline and thermocline conditions in the water. This means that sometimes the water can appear "oily". This is just nature. If you dive down a foot or so, its super clear. The waters around the lagoon are pristine. We saw no trash, nothing but fish and coral. If you are into snorkeling, you will see parrot fish, sergeant majors, tangs, sea hares, sea slugs, an occasional eel, sting rays, eagle rays, turtles, etc. Snorkeling into the lagoon park is really fun. Lots of rock formations that are fun to swim around. I felt like an explorer. Getting into the water may require some planning. You need to be comfortable walking on a rough rocky surface. Bringing flip flops, rubber soled fin socks, or something like that will make it easier on your feet. There are 2 sets of stairs into the water. Its still not super easy to get in and out if you have mobility issues but with a little patience everyone in our group (ages 6-75) was able to get in and enjoy the waters. The pool is fantastic too. We spent most evenings in the pool just enjoying the view. Kids playing and adults relaxing. Francisco and Gladys keep the house so clean. They are very warm and friendly people. They both greeted us with a warm smile everyday. We had them cook for us 4 times. All I can say is wow! What a treat. The food was delicious. My favorite meal was the chili rellenos, but I can't complain about any of it. It was much lighter fare than I am used to in Mexican restaurants in Atlanta. Francisco and Gladys will keep to themselves to respect your privacy but we were grateful knowing they were there to keep the house in good shape and to keep things safe. The house has some great treats for little guys (or grown ups that forget they are grown up). There are iguanas out on the rocks. They will gladly share your fruit. You may also see tejons, pacas, turtles, and hermit crabs. Groceries in the area are also affordable. We went into the southern part of Playa for groceries. The stores can be a bit overwhelming but the prices were fine. To summarize, this place is AMAZING! We miss Villa Gauguin!"

  • Wonderful Place!

"What a gem this condo was for our latest vacation. We stayed 8 nights in this comfortable and clean 2 bd/2bath condo. Everything you need to stay a few days or several weeks is there for your use from water sports equipment, kayaks, BBQ and of course the incredible ocean views-right outside your door. Close to everything there is to do in the Yucatan and Quintana Roo areas from snorkeling, swimming cents, fishing, archeological sites to all the attractions (5 min away). Memo and Marcy were wonderful and friendly hosts and concerned that everything was "just perfect" for us. The condo comes with a daily cleaning service of Suemi and Ismael that extends beyond a "regular service". Whatever you need they were there to help. Renting a car to get around is so much easier and economical than taxi's. Highly recommend the condo for your next stay. We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay…."
