  • Perfect for a large family all under one roof

"Our family rented the Bahia Azul home for 11 days in March ’14 and we were very satisfied with the experience. It exceeded our expectations. It was important that our family of nine could all stay under one roof, have space, privacy and serve congregate meals. It is very difficult to find large rental accommodations in Cancun that would meet these criteria. When available they were far beyond our budget. We also wanted a location that would not isolate us from the Mexican community. Get out of the hotel zone and one can see the economic challenges Mexico and Cancun face. We wanted our children to experience this. The home’s location provided this while at the same time, security The home is in a middle class diverse gated community of Mexican, Americans and Canadians. The five-bedrooms/five baths are located on three floors. The fourth floor is the very charming rooftop patio with a commanding view of the Cancun skyline and an ocean view at a greater distance. We did not rent a car and were very glad we did not. The home is located an easy 18 minute walk to the ferry service to Isla Mujeres. This was our choice for an exquisite beach experience and went there on three separate days. My wife and I took an $8 peso ($.60 US) city bus ride to the hotel zone for a beach day and was perhaps the quicker and less hassle decision over driving and parking a car. On the two occasions we went grocery shopping a bus ride got us to the Super Mercado and a cab ride transported us and multi bags of groceries back home. If renters aren’t interested in cooking their own meals the choices of walk able restaurants is limited and a car would be necessary. The car rental process in Mexico is frustrating and expensive. Cabs, tour buses and walking served all our needs well. We scheduled three adventure tours during our stay and the tour companies picked us up at the Sea Adventure Hotel two miles away. A $3 (US) cab ride brought us to the hotel. On the return trip the tour buses dropped us off three blocks from the Bahia Azul gate. Scott, the resident caretaker was most accommodating, detail oriented and helpful. Our family had for different arrival times and he arranged airport transport for all of us. All the communication between the owner, Michael, and Scott was timely, detailed and helpful. Trina, an American owner of Cancun Drive, provided excellent and reasonably priced airport shuttle service. The home has Wi-Fi service allowing for email."

  • An excellent hidden gem in Cancun!

"This is a wonderful condo in north Cancun that keeps you out of the hustle of the usual Hotel Zone thrash. Susie graciously worked with our party of five on extremely short notice when our original rental in Puerto Morelos ended up an un-airconditioned nightmare. She was wonderful to deal with on the phone and ensured our arrival went without a hitch. Her on-site property manager, Bego, had the condo cleaned and spotless when we arrived. We had booked a house in Puerto Morelos for our daughter's graduation summer trip that turned out to be not what was expected. After a frantic search on VRBO we discovered this truly hidden gem. The online pictures truly don't do it justice. The two main bedrooms are perfectly sized with their own bathrooms and the third is great for kids as it has bunk beds and it's own ensuite bath as well. The kitchen works well with every sort of utensil and small appliance you could ask for. The main dining table seats 8 and leads into the main living space. The two sectionals are crazy comfy and are perfect for viewing the large flat screen TV. The second floor view of the complex is delightful and the green waters of the Caribbean are a hundred yards away. Oh, and did I mention the Carrier air conditioners? They're fabulous and keep the condo as cool as you want with no fuss. The real secret of this complex is the pool, garden and grounds. The grounds are meticulously maintained by conscientious workers and lead to a fabulous pool with a shallow walk-in that leads to a 4.5' deep pool perfect for kids and adults alike. There are dozens of chaise lounges around the perimeter of the pool on the ocean side as well as under shaded wooden pergolas. A large palapa has a restaurant available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's fabulous as well. The pool overlooks the ocean and is open until 11:00 pm, great for a nighttime dip. Security is flawless and friendly. There are security guards at each entrance and roaming guards on site who ensure you feel safe at every turn. Everyone we encountered was extremely professional and truly enjoyed their job. My wife commented that she felt completely safe during our entire stay. The condo is spacious and truly a high-end experience. The furnishings, decor and appointments made the week so very memorable and enjoyable. Don't miss out on the glowing tree in the living room! If you want a relaxing week, stay here and avoid the hassle of the Hotel Zone!"

  • WONDERFUL VACATIONS

"We rent this condo that I found on VRBO. The owner Nancy's always answer my questions very fast, she's a nice person. Laura who work with her she's nice too and helpfull. We stayed 26 days at this condo and everythings was OK. The pictures you see on VRBO is the same in the condo. You are very close to the beach, BBQ, downtown, the bus (nerver wait), taxi, laundry, OXXO, Ferry to Isla Mujeres, Barcelo Costa Cancun, (4 km of hotel zone, 30 min. from airport. They are 8 beaches towels, 4 medium and 4 small towells, dryer, iron, safe box, tv, cable, Wi-Fi ($), hot water. The kitchen is full equip. The people was very nice and help us too. They are air conditionner in 2 bedrooms and kitchen. It's OK and it's work good. The view from condo to sea is wonderful. We love very much this condo than we will book it already for next december for one month. We are rent many condo in (Playa del Carmen, Barbados, Bermuda, Aruba), and this one is our favorite. I recommend this condo for those who like to prepare food, without the luxury of a 5 star, but it is functional and comfortable. Wal Mart, Costco, Europa, Sam'S Club, are in downtown by bus (R-2) and they are a lot of good food (meat, vegetables, fruits, etc). Thank you Nancy and Laura! See you in 11 months... • Party of 8

"Thank you Aileen for sharing your "home" with us. It was like home. We will miss Villas Marlin. My teenage boys had such a great time. Everything was accessible. The little store down stairs has everything. I didn't need to go to anywhere else. It was so reasonable. One of our best days was staying at the Condo and eating down stairs at the snack bar. The cocktails by the pool were great too. We will miss Ledy. She is a gem. The people of Cancun are so genuine and kind. Thank you again."
