  • Perfect start to 2015

"We stayed at this condo over New Years for 5 days. We had arranged with Ernesto property manager to have a driver at the airport so we wasted no time at the airport. Ernesto had our groceries we asked for waiting and ready in the condo when we arrived. The condo itself is clean, beautiful and luxurious. My favorite activity was sitting on the balcony in the morning enjoying my fresh coffee and amazing views. Beach club is great. Private white sand beach was enjoyable. My daughter loved playing on the swings and slide in the front lawn. The rooftop pool is the thing that took my breath away. I have never seen such a beautiful sight. Everywhere you look is spectacular like a postcard. I spent my final hour at the condo up there wanting to remember it forever. Alvin was great to work with. I am returning in March and hopefully December. Thanks Alvin and Ernesto for a great vacation!!!"

  • Nice place

"We spent a week down in Cancun over Easter break. It was nice. The weather was perfect, the pool was clean and nice and the condo was very functional. The beach was nice, but there was not much of a real swimming area, the water is like knee deep, and there was lots of seaweed. There were some issues with the nightly noise. The party boat, The Dancer, came in at 10 PM, went back out at 12 and back in at 3:00 am. It was a floating nightclub! It was extremely loud and disrupted every night for us. Lucky our baby slept through it. There were other people visiting as well, and everyone had the same feelings about the Dancer. Some of the residents that spend months down there were used to it, but for us, it was a rude awakening. Because of this, we needed to keep our windows and doors closed at night, and led to a $60 electric bill at the end of the week that was unexpected. I was also a little upset about paying a $20 paypal fee to get my deposit back. There are other outlets to use for free. We really did have a great time, and the beach was safe, and quiet during the day. The local food around was cheap and good, and the buses come every two minutes right outside the condo. Nancy, Laura and Reuben were great to deal with, but I wanted to bring the attention of the noise up, it was a real annoyance."

  • Great home base for exploring or just hanging out.

"We stayed at Paul and Cheryl's home in Cancún for 10 days with our 3 children (11, 8 & 6). I really don't have anything bad to say. It was a fantastic place in every respect. We try to vary our vacations - one day on for adventure, one day off for chilling by the pool or at the beach. Day 1: Chill by the pool. We had the place to ourselves for several hours. BEAUTIFUL, clean pool with lots of security. Restaurant at pool makes amazing quesadillas at great prices. Piña Coladas for the kids (no booze, of course). Everyone from guests to residents to employees were so so friendly and helpful. Made friends with an iguana dubbed Juan by the kids who hangs just at the beginning of the path from the garage that leads to the pool -- loves eating flowers. Day 2: Drove to Chichen Itza/EkBalam and Valladolid (cool colonial town) for the day. It was about 2 hours each way on the toll road, which is pricey, but well worth it. We were exhausted, but loved every minute. The kids climbed all over the ruins at EkBalam, found bats & didn't want to leave. Day 3: Ferry to Isla Mujeres, which is so close -- North Beach there was beautiful & the children really loved the golf cart tour of the island & the ferry ride itself. Day 4: Xcaret -- a must. Day 5: More down time at the pool. Day 6: Coba and Tulum -- amazing places. At Coba, we rented bikes & rode around the site, climbing ruins & generally wreaking havoc -- kids LOVED it. Tulum is very touristy and crowded, but the site was fantastic & definitely worth it. Day 7: Beach at the Marriott MagnaCasa -- we bought a day pass to the beach/pool area for $100 and got $80 worth of restaurant vouchers, use of all/any beach chairs & umbrellas and the towel service. Day 8: Our last glorious day at the pool. We bought groceries at the WallMart down the road which was so helpful. Went to the LDS church (Barrio Cancún) which was just 5 minutes away on Sunday and even took the kids to see Cinderella (with Spanish subtitles) at the mall nearby our first night. The actual condo has incredibly comfortable beds, plenty of room for 6 and some very handy perks (sand toys, beach and pool towels, COOLERS!! THANK YOU FOR THE COOLERS!!) The washer/dryer were so convenient. As I said -- nothing bad to say. Thank you so much, Paul for taking care of us. It was our first international vacation with the children and it was absolutely spectacular."
