"My college friends and I stayed here for our spring break and loved it! The room was spacious, and the view was amazing. Jeff was extremely responsive and helpful and answered all of our questions. You have to pay for wifi, the safe, and the gym, but they weren't very expensive. One other thing to note is Salvia's proximity to the downtown area. This made it really easy and convenient to go out at night, but also meant it could get loud late at night. I would definitely recommend this room to college-age students looking for a place to stay on vacation in Cancun!"

"This studio is just the right size for two people. It is clean and bright, but most of all it has the best balcony and inside view. You get a covered, private balcony with view of the ocean and the lagoon. At night you can see the beach lit up with private candlelight dinners, cruiseships sailing past and during the day watch the activity. But by activity it is not 'busy' at all by my standards. The beach isn't littered with lots of boats and sellers of various goods and activities. You'll see some parasailing and jet skiis. Not a lot. The beach also is nice and quiet. By that I mean you can walk down the entire beach and not hear 20 different beach bars playing various party music. There is one club next door that plays music from time to time. However I went during the Mexican spring school holiday and there were only spanish tourists staying at Cancun Plaza and nearby. That started to change by the end of the week. So perhaps the atmosphere will change.
I was very happy with having the airport transfers arranged for us. Especially when we landed. Oy! How confusing is it when you get out of the airport? Very. Everyone is trying to grab your luggage. I could firmly say "No. I have a Yellow Taxi" Then when we saw the sign with our names on it, it was a relief to have a reliable driver take us to the condo.
Fran is very personable and helpful during the entire process of booking and during the stay. She even arranged to have my hubby's birthday celebration even more special! Thanks so much Fran:)
The location of the condo was perfect for me. I do like nightlife like going to Coco Bongo, but I don't need to stay close to it. We hopped on and off the main bus constantly. It passes by all the time, and even in between stops the bus will honk at you to ask if you need them. Awesome! I enjoyed La Isla Mall the most and you can walk to it. Its only 4km or 3ish miles. Next to it is my favourite place for wine - La Europa, and next to that is a hidden gem La Fish Fritanga. It looks like a sidewalk take-away, yes it is. Just go down the stairs beside it and it leads you to the main restaurant situated on the beach. Inexpensive, simple food. Nice setting. Next to that is a cigar bar. You might not like cigars, but they also have a wonderful range of tequilas and best atmosphere. Its like stepping into Havana, Cuba. Tropical, old world, classy. Across the street from condo: '19.5km' (name of restaurant) best burgers ever! Huge! 'Navios' Restaurant for Romance."

"The house was perfect for our family vacation during Easter. Before we got there Michael made sure that all of our needs were met and also made sure he had our travel info for the airport pick up and drop off were there on time. It was a nice bonus not to worry about that, and to a whole van for our family. The bedrooms are large, and having personal AC in all the rooms were a bonus. This house is great for a large group, as it could sleep as many as 14 people. Scott was very helpful, he took us to the grocery store to stock up the 1st day and let us use his GPS for the days were we driving to Tulum (We rented a jeep from America Car rental for USD $75 a day and it included all insurance). If you want to explore, I would suggest Playa Delfines in Cancun, Tulum, cenotes in Puerto Morelos, and Isla Mujeres. When we were there, they put in a new grill. My favorite part of the house was def the rooftop. I miss having our morning breakfast up there and our nightly get together hanging out on the hammocks. With all the stairs, I def got a much needed workout. My daughter(4 years old) loved the pool because there is a shallow section for her to stand in and play. The kitchen is large and provided us everything that we need to prepare breakfast and our lunches. For the one lazy day that we had at the house, we played games at the game table, watched DVDs that they had(has a variety of 50 or so DVDs), went to the pool, bbqed and enjoyed the breeze on the rooftop. The neighborhood is safe and gated. If you go by the gate entrance in the morning they feed the coatis bread and about 50 or more come out. One would def benefit from renting a car if you have kids or a large group. Use caution with young kids, because the rooftop has gaps and there are a lot of stairs. My daughter loved running around the rooftop and being on the hammocks, but we had to be on watch. I loved Isla Mujeres, and the ferry is so close and it only takes a 20 boat ride to get there."

"We've been going to Cancun, staying at Villas Marlin for about 20 years. Due to retirement, property sales, etc we've stayed at multiple different condos. This was by far the BEST! Aileen's condo was not only spacious (twice as much room as typical Villas Marlin), clean, and very comfortable, it was steps from the pool and the beach. My husband and I are in our early 50's and traveled with his parents who are in their late 70's. There was more than enough space for the 4 of us to "live" together for 2 weeks. The location couldn't be better. Cancun's best shopping is either across the street or 2 blocks away. Kukulcan Mall (right behind Villas Marlin) has a new grocery store that is awesome! A couple miles down the road (north) there is a high end grocery store that rivals the best gourmet stores in the states. There are multiple GREAT restaurants within walking distance. This is the first year we didn't rent a car and we never missed it. Make sure you go to Lima (literally across the street) and La Habituela (right next door to Lima). Best coconut shrimp is at Fish Fritanga (next door north of La Habituela). Aileen's condo afforded maximum spoilage at a bargain price. Ledy is simply the best. If I could take home one souvenir, it would have been her! She kept the condo absolutely spotless and even did our laundry! She offered to cook for us and while her English is somewhat limited, there was never any problem conversing with her. The poolside grill was awesome too-many days we'd skip lunch at the condo and just order guacamole and a pina colada for less than 7.00 US! The staff at Villas Marlin was always friendly and courteous. I felt like they welcomed us as though we were owners. Aileen was awesome to do business with. She was timely with her responses, great at answering questions, and even emailed to make sure we got in OK and to see if we were happy or if there was anything she could do for us. We will definitely be back, and we will definitely be renting from Aileen again. If you have a choice-rent this condo! You won't regret it!"
