"We stayed at Casa Catarina for a week in February and we had a fabulous vacation. My sister and her family and our friends and their family stayed in Villa Martini just down the path from us. In total our group was 13 people (6 adults and 7 young children, all under age 6). The home was huge and very comfortable for our family (we did not even use the upper level for sleeping). We loved having the kids pool as well as the regular pool for our kids to spend hours playing in, and the beach right adjacent to the pool was great for the kids as well as for us to watch them. We took everyone to Chankanaab park to swim with the dolphins and manatees, which the kids thought was fantastic. We spent a day at Chen Rio beach on the other side of the island and it was absolutely beautiful. Amber, Vanessa and Rodrigo also arranged a for a boat to take us out on the water one day where we were able to walk around on sand dunes and do some snorkeling in absolutely beautiful water. Watching the breath-taking sunsets over the water every evening was definitely a highlight and something that we looked forward to every evening. We rented the SUV from the homeowner and found that it was a great decision as it was reasonably priced and we liked the convenience of having Vanessa pick us up in it at the airport. Vanessa, Amber and Rodrigo were always available to assist us with anything we needed. They were very knowledgeable about everything on the island; anything you want to do they will arrange for you.
Advice for future visitors would be to be aware of the fact that credit cards are not widely accepted, basically anywhere on the island (including Your Cozumel), so it is important to come with cash. We found that even the bank machines were often unreliable. It was a bit of a hassle to have to drive in every day or two to withdraw more money, and we did not love having to carry large quantities of cash on us every day (although it is important to say that we always felt safe on the island and in our gated community). Additionally, it is good to stock up on food and any other amenities you may need when you get there (or get Vanessa to get them for you prior to arriving), as it was a bit of a drive into the supermarket (and more of a hassle because we did have young children in our group).
Overall we loved our vacation and found that for us, it was a great place to visit as a family. We are already planning to come back."

"My family made its 2nd stay at Casa Cielo on Cozumel over Easter Break. The house has not changed since our last stay in 2008. The house is perfectly laid out for a family. It is so nice to have a full kitchen and a place to dine together (either inside or outside by the pool) rather than eating out nightly. There is a grocery store on the south side of San Miguel just a few miles away.
Casa Cielo is bright and airy and has a wonderful for pool for stay-at-home days. We also used the beach for baseball practice and throwing other stuff. You can snorkel right off the beach and our neighbors said they saw an octopus, a moray eel, and more.
The house is located south of town which makes for easy access to the best beaches and diving. The house was clean and well-attended and made for a great home on vacation."

"We just spent 10 days in Cozumel, and in one word: FANTASTIC! the unit is very spacious, and while we stayed with another couple, we never felt cramped! All the little extra's like water, phone service to the US, WIFI, cable and laundry machines were great extras provided with the unit. The weather was great, the views were awesome. We woke up every morning watching cruise ships go by, sitting on the patio looking at that blue ocean, or sunning for a few hours a day. It was great! We started the week by taking taxi's into town and back, but eventually enjoyed walking back and forth, which allowed us to visit more of the local cantina's along the way. Plenty of activities if you want to stay active, or just chill. Many restaurants to choose. The locals are really friendly too! We had a blast on the 3 hour Pirate Ship Dinner Cruise our last night, a great bargain! We'll definitely return!
