  • Fantastic Condo

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo mid-July 2014. Cozumel was wonderful and the condo was the absolute perfect combination of peace and quiet located next to fun activities for the kids (and adults). Victor and Elena were fabulous. Elena kept the place spic-n-span while we were there. Victor was helpful from the time we landed til the time we left. (We got a parking ticket one night. I guess we were that hungry on that particular night that we didn't notice the parking signage.) Victor even took care of that for us. Top notch local information was provided by the owner and Victor before and during our stay. Their recommendation for a fishing guide was also wonderful. They guys had a great day on the boat while Mom went to the spa next door. The Condo Resort was very clean and all the property workers and security workers were friendly and helpful. I'll mention again that the resort was very quiet and peaceful."

  • Visiting in Cozumel, local style.

"Found IslaMar on VRBO while looking for a place to stay for 3 weeks. Was very pleased to find the property was just as advertised. The staff was waiting for me on my arrival at the front door. The pool area is incredible and I enjoyed it very much during my time there. Hummingbirds frequently seen, and there is a local bakery close by, so the smell of fretted baked bread was often tempting me while at the pool. Sherri gave me the one bedroom condo upstairs and it again, was just as advertised. I found everything I needed and including the small touches such as the hammock. The apartment was immaculate! If there was anything missing, Zuri was there to help. This is living "local style" which is what I was looking for, away from the tourist areas. I spent time walking about the area and did not have any problems whatsoever. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main tourist area. Taxis, if needed, are plentiful, affordable, and reliable. There are small, local places to eat close to IslaMar where the food is very good, and affordable. Sherri has a helpful guide book detailing all the good restaurants broken down by location and price. I was very pleased with the choice of Cozumel and IslaMar. Sherri, I will be back !"

  • Great stay! A must do!

"I decided to go last minute to Cozumel as I had some days off that I had to take before I forfeit them. As it was available, I manage to get a special rate for it. Also, as it is near the town and I didn't want to rent a car, I decided to take this one, and I have to say this was the best decision I could've taken! The booking/payment process was nice and easy as it is via PayPal. The owner speaks French which was very helpful and a nice sell as I'm a French speaker. I was welcomed by the island manager, a lady that is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She was always on top of things and available for any questions/help. The owner had recently done some minor upgrades to the place. You can notice by the new appliances (TV, oven, washrooms, etc) and the closets/washrooms. Internet works fine for me and there is Netflix on site. The stay included a cleaning lady 2 times, so she kept it quite neat. The place is huge, 10 people could stay and it still does not feel cramped. The view is amazing, one of the best you could have. There is a hammock on the second floor balcony where it is nice to sit and see the sunset. The building is clean and updated. It has a pool, beach and security gate. As other reviews mentioned, snorkeling is -by far- on of the best you could get around. I hired a local cook -which was recommended by the island manager- and he cooked for us delicious local food. I would definitely recommend to do this. Also, for $50 bucks for two, you pay less than the average meal in the island and better quality. The place is located 10-15 min -walking- from downtown, which was also nice so we could avoid taking a cab. Still, cabs charge $4 for a ride anywhere downtown, so we took one to go to the supermarket and another one back. Thank you Juan for all your help and for the amazing stay, See you in 2015 :)"

  • Truly a Parrothead Paradise

"If you're surfing VRBO for a nice clean condo on the beaches of Cozumel... in a great location with friendly guests/owners and staff... STOP... you have found what you're looking for. Book it and you will not regret it. Paul is a great person to deal with... Fulvio provides excellent service.. the price is as good as you will find... and the condo itself and is exactly as advertised ( maybe better ). We arrived Sept 17th, 2014 and stayed for 3 nights. We did not want to leave. The condo is 15 minutes by car from the town center, and has 3 beach clubs and 2 resorts as neighbors. Its safe and secure. This was our very first trip to Cozumel, and we spent most of the time on the beach. The first day we decided to rent a car and tour the island, at a cost of around $50. It takes about an hour to drive around the island without stopping, but you will definitely want to check out some of the spectacular beaches and surf on the east side. Bring your camera! I must say, if you are considering a trip to the Maya Riviera... Cozumel is the place, and this is the condo."
