"We choose jaguar house based on our past visits to the island and viewing this wonderful home from the road. VRBO reviewsthe supported our impression that this was the house to stay at in Isla. The home did not dissapppoint us in the least. The home was booked thru Isla Bekons agency who contacted the owner to see if we could adjust our time from Sunday to Sunday rather than Saturdayt due to expensive airfares Chriistmas week. This was not a problem and we appreciated the flexibility. Our grand kids loved, loved the pool from early am until the evening. Having been to the island several times we often headed to the beach early ..this was not the case as the kids were hard to separate from the pool. The house is just fantastic, well maintained and immaculate. As an amateur cook and having stayed in many VRBO type facilities around the world. i would have to say this kitchen was the most well equipped i have experienced. For those who like to eat out there are several nearby good restaurants should you choose not to drive to centro each night. Compared to other Isla homes with comparable prices you can not beat Jaguar House for cost and what the home exceedingly offers to it's guests"

  • Great way to spend some time

"My family and I spent the week of Christmas 2014 at Casa Rosa. We rented the entire house as there were 3 couple. It was amazing. It was easy to find with a short cab ride from the ferry docks. I think about $5 US. We also rented a golf cart to get around and ended up renting a moped too. The police were very watchful to make sure we only has 4 people in our cart so we had to go with a moped too. And to be honest it was much more fun on the scooter. Case Rosa is exactly like the pictures on this and other sites. It has a beautiful ocean view and is very quiet at the back of the house. The water is not good for swimming but we spent hours on the shore looking for shells and seal glass. And the North Beach is 5 minutes away if you want to swim. Every morning a young man would come by to sell us fresh fruit juice. We tried them all over the course of the week. If he did not have a certain kind he would make sure to bring it the next day. The owner's rep was very gracious and stopped by to show us around. The kitchen was well equipped and many a meal we cooked at home. The grocery store is just down the street and they carry everything you need. There are plenty of towels, both beach and bath, lots of extra blankets and pillows and bottled water. If you run out of water all you have to do is set the empty jugs at the curb and they are replaced with fresh ones. So easy. Around the corner is a small cafe called Mango's. We ate breakfast ether many days. It was so good. We will not hesitate to stay at Casa Rosa again!"

  • Loved our Stay!

"We own a rental property on Isla and needed a place to stay while it was occupied by guests. We were delighted with our choice of Castillo del Mar and felt right at home in this well-appointed villa. The incredible views of the Caribbean Sea from every window and terrace were truly stunning. The location is convenient to all the restaurants and loncherias in La Gloria and one block south of the new Isla 33 complex. The mayan themed décor is authentic and the kitchen is completely stocked with top of the line appliances and everything needed to prepare meals and snacks for large or small groups. Each bedroom includes a full ensuite and each room is designed so that you can enjoy that amazing view of the Caribbean Sea! The king sized beds rate among the most comfortable we have slept on and the wonderfully large master suite includes a sunken Jacuzzi that looks out onto the large pool deck. The swimming pool is beautiful and we enjoyed coming home from the beach or town each afternoon and taking a refreshing swim. After we cooled off, we would relax in one of the comfy loungers and watch the waves of the ocean and gaze at the sea for hours. There are more than enough loungers, comfortable chairs, tables and benches perfectly placed around the pool and nearby patio for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying the Isla vibe. Beach towels and everything you could think of are provided and we were happy to call Castillo del Mar our home away from home for our stay. Thank you Phil and Bernadette for thinking of everything and providing us with such a wonderful home for our mother/daughter vacation."
