"Just returned from my first visit to Isla Mujeres. We usually stay in a resort near Playa. We have been wanting to purchase a vacation home in Mexico and decided to forgo the large resort and try a new area. I am so glad we did! I loved the little island and loved Casa de Katy! The house was perfect, a great location, perfect for parking our golf cart inside the front gate. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer to dry wet clothes. The back yard was very private and nice for relaxing in. This was one of the best vacations I've ever had! Thank you Katy for providing such a lovely house!"

"We stayed in this condo last week with another couple. It totally exceeded our expectations. We are accustomed to staying at all inclusive resorts but if you are staying on Isla Mujeres, that is a mistake! So much good food on that island. We weather was perfect each day and we loved that awesome beach! It was great having our chairs and umbrellas setup for us each day. I can't express how perfect everything was and how easy it is to get around the island. Eloy, our waiter on the beach was a lot of fun. We used the collapsible cooler every day on the beach too! I was so glad it was there! Hopefully we can come back next year."

Lovely, comfortable and relaxing!! Beautiful beach and friendly staff!
"I chose this condo for my husband and I because of many things: pool and beach access, ... looked clean, but mostly it was the picture of the master bedroom with the king sized bed.
The bed looks comfortable (compared to the many ancient and hard lumpy mattresses that I've slept on in Mexico). We were not disappointed! The bed is almost more comfortable than our bed at home! And we enjoyed over 2 weeks of amazing sleeps in this bed!!
The condo was spotless when we arrived, cool and smelled amazing! There are plenty of towels. The living room furniture is comfortable (doesn't look that comfortable in the pictures, but it is). The location of this condo on the property was perfect for us - adjacent the gardens area, far enough away from the pool to be quiet, and on the deck you can see the ocean round the corner from one beach side to our beach side.
The deck is lovely - privacy with the tall jungle palms - and gets wonderful sun at about 5pm!
The shower is very nice.
The kitchen is stocked just about perfectly for people on vacation who want to do a little cooking.
Plenty of drinking water is stocked in the condo.
The condo owners were pleasant to deal with and the staff onsite are friendly and we enjoyed getting to know a few of them (security / condo management / cleaning staff / guys who help set you up with beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach).
The condo restaurant is amazingly delicious (must try the habanero margaritas and ceviche there!) and the staff there are amazing. This is one of the best places to find out local information - ask Victor or "R2D2".
Condo is stocked with English fiction books - which we appreciated.
One note - the lush garden areas are beautiful but bring some mosquitoes - I recommend mosquito coils or bug spray for the mornings!
Offsite - we enjoyed snorkeling at the lagoon by MIA (just down the beach). We went every morning once we discovered it - it's free (if you bring your own gear) and there are a lot of fish there.
Offsite we enjoyed pizza at Oscars (they deliver too and do not charge a delivery fee!!) - best NY style pizza! And Nash's Tapas bar on Hidalgo - Nash is very friendly and his food is delicious. Also the following: La Mexican Rosticeria on Hidalgo; the taquira at the corner of Lopez Mateos and Hidalgo; and the seafood restaurant near the gas station on Rueada Medina - they bring in fresh fish right beside here.
We'll be back to rent this condo again!"

"The house is actually nothing like the pictures....its ten times better!! The dining room table is the most amazing table I have ever seen and can seat as many as you can bring!! The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need for a gourmet meal or to make a light snack or lunch by the pool. The rooms are all a good size for sharing and have comfortable beds. Each bedroom inside the main house (and there are 3) has a private bathroom. There are two other bedrooms in the casita in the back of the main house that has one bathroom. The pool and swim up pool bar are simply amazing!!! We had a couple of naps taken while swinging the in the hammocks by the pool or lounging on the large bed. The house has amazing sunsets and overlooks the ocean which is just across the street. The house is just amazing and anyone would be blessed and fortunate to stay there, but David is simply wonderful and takes care of every need before you even need it! Amira is a fabulous chef and we had some of the best meals on our vacation at the house. The chicken in green sauce and the house salad will be missed on a daily basis!! She prepared delicious dishes for our breakfast every morning and fresh ceviche for our lunches by the pool. David is just so gracious and makes the entire experience wonderful. We had some issues with a golf cart that wouldn't work and he was nice enough to help us get another one. My only complaint is that we didn't get to stay longer!! I would choose to stay at this lovely home any time!! Thank you David and Amira for an amazing bachlorette trip!!!!!"
