"this was our 4th stay @ palma real (1st stay in this unit). easily the best views in the entire complex. as a repeat visitor to palma real we knew what to expect & we were not disappointed. the condo unit itself has most everything you need. you will need to purchase condiments for cooking & extra toilet paper but that's about it. Gustavo the pool & maintenance guy continues to keep all areas clean. Carlos the property manager is a wealth of information & very helpful. the owner was very easy to deal with & answered any questions we had. on those days that you need to chill inside, the owner has provided Netflix which was wonderful as we needed a break from the sun & heat.
complaints - no safe in the unit (so you may want to find a hiding place for valuables while you out). the unit advertises a dryer, however the dryer does not product hot air (only cool air) as there is no vent. we experienced the same situation in other units. neither of these complaints will discourage us from revisiting palma real."

"The location of this condo could not have been better. To wake up with the ocean and swimming pool right in front of you is wonderful. The condo was decorated very nicely, and we especially liked the beautiful stained glass window in the master bedroom. The grounds are exceptionally maintained, the pool pristine. However, there were things that did make our visit frustrating. First, we did not receive very accurate directions to the condo You must exit the main road onto a frontage road to reach the condo. This wasn't relayed to us so it took us over an hour and 1/2 to find it. Second, we were to call Jordi upon our arrival but we didn't have phone service. (Recommendation - be sure to sign up for international calling before you go.) Or better yet, it would be helpful for the condo to have Vonage or some other local phone service like the condo across the pool has). Finally, the condo continually had ants, which was annoying. Luckily a housekeeper came in and put out ant bait. Regardless of these frustrations, we still had a wonderful time, ate breakfast on the patio every morning and cherished our experience at this beautiful place.
We ate at the Money Bar - awesome food, entertainment, and sunset! We ate at Sr. Frogs - bad food, and the waiters kept touching us, massaging us, hugging us. Ugh! We also took the ferry to Playa Del Carmen to Xcaret. The ferry is cheap ($10 one way, easy to access, very comfortable, and fast). Parking in Cozumel is a challenge. We really enjoyed Xcaret - especially floating the underground rivers and the musical show. Expensive but worth it. The food there was so-so, which we expect at those types of parks."

Beautiful, Relaxing Villa with Helpful Staff and Fun Town
"Our unit in Villa Sacbe was perfect all around (the price too!) My girlfriend and I are in our late 20's and we're looking for a unique getaway with a little culture and lots of sun & relaxation. Playa del Carmen was the perfect town for this. Local shops everywhere, long stretches of beachfront lounging, great activities of all different types nearby, bars/restaurants/clubs, AND it was easy/affordable to get there. Villa Sacbe is one collection of 4 built by the same creator who also has a few restaurants close by. This gives you access/discounts to these restaurants and the beach club (just one block down towards the water). You also can use the gym and are provided with a very helpful concierge team that helped us plan our trips to nearby Mayan ruins, Cozumel, rentals, and how to do pretty much anything you want. As for the unit itself and it's owner, we couldn't have imagined anything better! It really is even more beautiful than the pictures. The private hottub on the roof really is just yours along with a secluded deck and an upstairs loft great for siesta naps or kids. The housekeeping service provides you with unlimited clean drinking water and towel service free of charge. The kitchen has everything you need except an oven (although there is a toaster oven). The pool is beautiful, clean, and cool with rarely anyone else in it. There is a group of popular night clubs on the same block and they are loud at night. However the owner took the extra consideration to pave the ceiling under the grass roof to block the noise, and once we were in the bedroom with the door closed it was perfectly quiet. Speaking of, the current owner, Sergio, was more than accommodating for us. We had a small issue with how the payment worked and Sergio was great in keeping communication with any questions we had and even helped us with transportation and getting in contact with the staff on site.
All around, we enjoyed every second of our five night stay thanks to the sunny & cultural town, the beautiful & relaxing villa, and the helpful & accommodating staff. We're coming back the next chance we get!"

"Thank you Monica for sharing with us your access to Sun Palace Resort. I am glad we found you! The resort was heaven, specially the private patio in our Presidential Suite. Corner room with oceanview...so relaxing. My husband and I were so thrilled when we entered our suite. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi every sunset. The Romantic Dinner was so perfect for our 25th wedding anniversary. Actually, the entire stay in Sun Palace was a blessing.
Looking forward to work with you again and to try other Palace resorts."
