  • Best stay and value!!!

"After careful study and research we found this Condo on the beach in Playa Del Carmen. The beach location was perfect in front of all the action. Great roped off swim area as well. Super safe for all the family and kids. The management office and the reception person were extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds of the property were immaculate. Every planter and walking area was kept up perfectly. Security for the location was fantastic. Although it seemed perfectly safe around town, if you did not belong at El Faro Reef you were not getting anywhere on that property day or night. The location was 2 minute walk to 5th Avenue where all the shops, restaurants, entertainment, etc.. was located. This street goes on for about 25 blocks of continuous fun. Would highly recommend this location/owner for your stay."

  • Great for Couples and Families - Maravilloso!

"THE CONDO: The Sandcastle is on the 2nd Floor (101) with the best view of the ocean – a corner unit. Very spacious and comfortable. Fabulous view of the ocean and wonderful “patio” to hear the waves and a great outdoor gas grill that we used on multiple occasions. The beds are not too firm or soft. Great A/C and very comfortable in the unit. Kitchen - the appliances (dishwasher/cooktop) are somewhat dated (old). The dishwasher did not work while we were at the Condo. The management company (Matt) was very responsive. The head of maintenance, Issac, came by earlier to fix the air conditioning in the main bedroom and he tried to fix the dishwasher but to no avail. Not a big problem as we had maid service and did the dishes ourselves. Washer/Dryer - - what a great benefit! Especially the dryer. And it has a separate door to keep the noise and heat away. Refrigerator – nice, large refrigerator. Not like the small “dorm room” units that you see in other places. LIKE: Best pool in Playa del Carmen – hands down. Especially if it is too windy or if the ocean is too rough - - a great option and we spent many days enjoying the sun, pool and hot tub. Outdoor showers to clean up the sand from your feet. If it’s cloudy, just head back to your room and back to the pool in no time! Very attentive staff at the Elements. Always helpful and willing to make your vacation enjoyable. I did a large shopping trip with bags of groceries & they had a cart for me to take it to our room. Elevator is close to the unit. The outdoor gas grill – great steaks and chicken were prepared on this grill. Really wonderful to cook a meal, save money and eat like a King! All while enjoying the views from the patio. DIDN’T LIKE: Close proximity to Canibal Royal Beach Club and loud music. One of the reasons in selecting the Sandcastle was to get away from the noise off Quinta Avenida (in town) and the incessant, loud music from the beach clubs. When the patio door are closed - - you can barely hear the music. The private beach club is very close to the boats (gas & oil smells) and I wish they could move the boats to a separate area. The ocean is muddy and rocky on the bottom when you go out on the water. Tenga cuidado! (Take care!) You can always walk down a little ways to the right (towards town) and find a better beach area. CONCLUSION: Great place for couples and families. Best restaurant - Oh Lala and La Cueva del Chango. Shop Megamart and save $$$"

  • Can't recommend this place enough

"Such a great location! Playa del Carmen is a city, but this condo is on a quiet leafy road - really nice cafes for breakfast, and cute little bars around the corner. Literally on the beach, which was a bit quieter and nicer then 50 metres down more into town... Loved our own open garden... Very spacious, would love to return again. Thank you for making our holiday so much more enjoyable :) P.S we were here for BPM festival, Mamitas club and a few others are literally around the corner but not too noisy..."

  • Wonderful family vacation!

"Luna Encantada was easily one of the best family vacation sites we've had, truly a home away from home. We were greeted at the secure gate, and taken immediately to our 3 bedroom condo. The on-site help was always prompt and available. Jose was so helpful; he even brought a fan for our bedroom since we were used to having the "white noise." A ceiling leak from the upper floor was immediately addressed. Although just across from a bar/grill, the noise never bothered us at night. (A few pesky footfalls from above, but that can happen at any resort/hotel.) The infinity pool, grounds and beach were spotless. Gabriel at the beach was so nice and helpful with umbrellas, drinks and chairs. (One could walk a long ways on the beautiful white sand beach.) We made use of the laundry daily, as well as the kitchen. Less than a block away, was Fifth Avenue, where we enjoyed many shops, restaurants, and miscellaneous businesses. After a few days, we even let our kids go without us to shop. The view from our patio was spectacular. Many hours were spent there just listening to the waves and enjoying the view. Also a perfect spot to watch the pool, if our kids were swimming. (*Teens, not toddlers.) There were several excursion kiosks right on the beach near our condo. Our family did snorkeling, para-sailing and jet-skiing. Also, massage and yoga right next door. (Our extended family who joined us, really enjoyed deep sea fishing with Ivan, which was booked online before our trip. (Highly recommend Fishing with Ivan, which was a short cab ride away.) Yaxche Mayan Restaurant was very good, and just a couple blocks from us on 5th was Cafe de la Mer, an upstairs restaurant which was fabulous. Housekeeping came as much or as little as you wanted, and they were great! I cannot wait to go back here. Loved it so much more than any hotel or resort, and I have been to quite a few. The mega (groceries) and Walmart were walking distance, (maybe a mile) but a cab is needed to carry stuff back. LOVED this place the best out of all my 10 or so, trips to Cancun/Playa del Carmen. Can't wait to return!"
