"We loved our stay at Ocean Plaza. The view and the convenience to everything you couldn't have asked for better. We had 7 stay for a girls get away and everyone enjoyed it there was enough room for everyone. The condo had everything we needed. The mirror in the hallway was exceptional, it made everyone appear smaller. All the girls wanted this mirror for their home. Lol The club next store, our waiter Ulysses was awesome. Served us dinner and breakfast on our patio. The only downside of the club was the big party that went until 6am with techno music which was very loud but that was only 1 night of our stay. Everyone in Playa were very nice and taught us alot about Playa and how to speak some spanish. We visited Phantam Dive for snorkeling. Great people well worth the time and money. First time I ever got to handle a star fish. Our guides were great with our first timers that were older women. The local food during our stay was great. We had a nice birthday dinner and Alux in the cenotes. Overall everyone said they would all come back for another stay."

Tastefully decorated 2 Bedroom Condo in a great location-Paseo del Sol in Playacar, MX
"We rented this 2 bedroom condo from November 7 to 25,2014 in the Paseo del Sol complex which houses about 4 three story buildings containing roughly 65 owner occupied and rental condo units. Paseo del Sol complex is located in Playacar, a gated community, containing residences and several all-inclusive hotel resorts. The area is both safe and secure. Paseo del Sol has 24 hour security. It is about a 15 minute walk (7 to 9 peso taxi ride) to 5th Avenue and surrounding area where the shopping district is located along with a number of great restaurants.
This 2 bedroom spacious condo unit was tastefully decorated/appointed containing excellent quality furniture and furnishings. It was a bright and light corner unit on the main/ground level of the complex, called Reef 106. The kitchen was fully equipped and the unit contained a washer/dryer. Bottled drinking water containers are delivered to the condo as required/requested,with maid/cleaning service provided when requested, with a meaningful tip for the cleaning lady.
We went to several excellent restaurants, just off 5th Avenue, including Oh Lala, Imprevist, Como Como and the Plank. We also ordered on-line having groceries brought to the condo for a nominal price, as well we ordered pizza from a restaurant called Amore and very good Thai food from a takeout restaurant owned by Oh Lala which was delivered to our condo.
We enjoyed our stay in the condo. A great location. The office and cleaning staff was very good. We would recommend."

"We stayed here for a week, we were a family of 4. The house is nicely updated with a nice modern kitchen(minus the dishwasher), and updated bathrooms. The condo is pretty spacious for 4 people. We loved the jellyfish lamps by the dining table ( we went shopping for one after we saw it) and the general décor of the condo.
We had the swimming pool for ourselves whenever needed, we saw maintenance staff clean the pool every morning( and I think a thorough surface cleaning once a week). I didn't see anyone else use the pool, except perhaps on the first day.
Jeanette(the owner) is a great person to work with. We somewhat arrived earlier than the usual check-in time and we were accommodated although this was peak season, and the condo just got vacant from the previous renters.
We rented a car, so we covered a lot of attractions/activities during our 7 day stay( so we used the condo mostly only during the early mornings & evenings), with only one entire evening spent at playa del Carmen for shopping & souvenirs( we walked about 20 mins to 5th ave).
The only nice to have would have been a dishwasher in the kitchen( we had breakfast each of the 7 days at the condo); and may be update the leather sofas in the near future - they are beginning to show their age, but this is really small stuff compared to the overall experience. Highly recommend!"

"We chose Taninah for our wedding because it was so unique & private (how often do you get to rent an entire resort?!) We had a diverse group from grandparents to a 4 month old and in between with various comfort and budget levels. It was eco-luxury. Each cabana had a full bathroom with spa-like walk-in showers. Touring the place when we arrived was one delight after the other.
The staff was magic - invisible unless you needed anything. We would be hanging out & the mosquito nets were drawn, right next to me without me ever seeing them! I never caught them doing it although it was every night. But I never had trouble finding someone if I ever needed anything.
There are a few drawbacks - the biggest is not being directly on the beach and I was really worried about that because I *love* the beach. But, having your own private underground swimming grotto with water slide trumped the beach. Besides, we took a quick ride over to the beach two days- that was enough. The other drawback is that the food is served sort of family style - everyone gets essentially the same meal - in case you have any super finicky foodies. They were super accomodating about preferences - replacing seafood with chicken or even egg-less chocolate cake for the ones who didn't like eggs! Most of the food was very good and some was fantastic but if you're looking for every meal to be 5-star with adjectives on all your ingredients, you won't be happy. You do get to pick your menu (coconut shrimp was unbelievable). And daily fresh guacamole in the afternoon! Lastly, the resort is very eco-friendly. I actually loved this aspect but my convenience-trumps-all sis did notice some things, like the no resort-wide wifi (it was only at the main cabana) or composting toilet. I never noticed anything.
We chose Taninah as a splurge but it turned out to be very economical. Everyone stayed in their own spacious very private cabana, not a little hotel room. Anything we needed (including the alcohol), the staff got for us at Sam's Club or the grocery store, not resort prices. In the end, we spent much less (maybe half) than if we had gone to a typical resort (& we SEARCHED but never found one that met everyone's needs and budget). Taninah was the only one that was luxurious, economical, and convenient for families (no lugging gear when they move from trampoline to pool to playroom!).
Great place to bond - enough privacy to have your space but also spend time together.
GO! You won't regret it!"
