  • Magnificent vacation rental!

"We went to Mamitas Village (regretfully) for only a week. It was the best week of our month long Mexican vacation. The condo itself was in the prime location - between 5th ave and the ocean (quiet enough to have peace and quiet if you wanted but steps from all the best parts of Playa). Mamitas beach was by far the most beautiful in the area as the more southern section has regretfully become corroded since our last visit (just last year). We were in the newer part of Playa and thus found the service to be prime. There were no hassles in the area. The condo itself was BEAUTIFUL with everything you could need and more to make you feel right at home. The managers (Jean and Franco) really lived up to their roots as "friendly Manitobans." Thank you so very much for the week in heaven. We would recommend Mamitas to our most loved ones and cannot wait to come back! Hasta el proximo ano! Laura, Michael and Cam"

  • I stay in this Reef 403 2 to 3 times a year. My favorite spot

"If you are planning on going to Playa El Faro is the spot. The best access to 5th avenue and the beach. The staff is super helpful. If you are staying at El Faro this unit is the best we have stayed at. I rent several different units each year for friends and family. This unit is the one I stay at. Everything always works. The view is the best and you have your own private rooftop perch. The owner Mike is always so helpful. Internet and Vonage phone for free. The room rates are very completive with like quality projects. I can't say enough, on a scale of 1 to 10 its an 11."

  • Marvelous stay in Stunning, Commodious Luxury

"The misses and I were checked in by more than helpful staff. Quite a briefing, but no need to take notes as it is all on form for you. The condo was absolutely splendid. Comforting furniture, a fully kitted kitchen(which we made full use of) and a gargantuan lush bed. We made use of the discount vouchers to dine at Plank for one night. I highly recommend trying their spledid cooking done on cedar planks. All in all a wonderful stay, right on the panaromic, beautiful beach. El Taj is situated walking distance from the night life, but far enough as not to be disturbed by the music."

  • Great for Couples and Families - Maravilloso!

"THE CONDO: The Sandcastle is on the 2nd Floor (101) with the best view of the ocean – a corner unit. Very spacious and comfortable. Fabulous view of the ocean and wonderful “patio” to hear the waves and a great outdoor gas grill that we used on multiple occasions. The beds are not too firm or soft. Great A/C and very comfortable in the unit. Kitchen - the appliances (dishwasher/cooktop) are somewhat dated (old). The dishwasher did not work while we were at the Condo. The management company (Matt) was very responsive. The head of maintenance, Issac, came by earlier to fix the air conditioning in the main bedroom and he tried to fix the dishwasher but to no avail. Not a big problem as we had maid service and did the dishes ourselves. Washer/Dryer - - what a great benefit! Especially the dryer. And it has a separate door to keep the noise and heat away. Refrigerator – nice, large refrigerator. Not like the small “dorm room” units that you see in other places. LIKE: Best pool in Playa del Carmen – hands down. Especially if it is too windy or if the ocean is too rough - - a great option and we spent many days enjoying the sun, pool and hot tub. Outdoor showers to clean up the sand from your feet. If it’s cloudy, just head back to your room and back to the pool in no time! Very attentive staff at the Elements. Always helpful and willing to make your vacation enjoyable. I did a large shopping trip with bags of groceries & they had a cart for me to take it to our room. Elevator is close to the unit. The outdoor gas grill – great steaks and chicken were prepared on this grill. Really wonderful to cook a meal, save money and eat like a King! All while enjoying the views from the patio. DIDN’T LIKE: Close proximity to Canibal Royal Beach Club and loud music. One of the reasons in selecting the Sandcastle was to get away from the noise off Quinta Avenida (in town) and the incessant, loud music from the beach clubs. When the patio door are closed - - you can barely hear the music. The private beach club is very close to the boats (gas & oil smells) and I wish they could move the boats to a separate area. The ocean is muddy and rocky on the bottom when you go out on the water. Tenga cuidado! (Take care!) You can always walk down a little ways to the right (towards town) and find a better beach area. CONCLUSION: Great place for couples and families. Best restaurant - Oh Lala and La Cueva del Chango. Shop Megamart and save $$$"
