Excellent location, nice and clean accommodations, and very responsive host
"We went to Gordon's place in Chac-Ha for a family vacation with our small children aged 7 and 4. I honestly can not imagine staying anyplace else in Playa Del Carmen. First the location - the condo is located in a gated community that makes it incredibly safe. The beach is literally across the street (we would just walk over in our swim suites) so it couldn't be easier. The Reef Club pools and beach area are fantastic...such beautiful water. Just pack up a small cooler of food and beer and spend a lovely day on the white sand. There is a smaller pool at the condo as well that we used every single day. Almost always we were the only people there. The pool has an area that is shallow for kids who don't swim, and also deeper areas as well. The condo is right next to a golf course so you can see so much jungle wildlife right from the patio...fantastic! Heading to downtown 5th avenue is so easy by either driving there or walking across the street to the Reef Club to get a taxi. Next the accommodations - The property was very clean and updated. It was obvious that the walls were recently painted and even the furniture seemed new. The bathrooms and kitchen are marble and so nice. It made it so easy to cook in, which is great to safe money or with little kids. There were even some board games we played with. There is everything you could need including lots and lots of bottled water for cooking and drinking, and a new washer and dryer. The TV even had many channels in English for those rainy days. And finally the host - Gordon gave us detailed instructions before we arrived, and then Claudine his local manager met us at the condo when we arrived to show us around. She left a cell phone for us to use and get in touch with her if anything went wrong. We could even call her simply to get advice on where to go during our visit. It's 5 star service which was an unexpected surprise given the low price point for the condo. I've stayed at a LOT of VRBO condos before and I've never had service as good as I did here. While there we rented a car and went to Tulum, Akumal, and Xcaret...which were all excellent day trips. Make sure the check out La Florista - a shrimp taco stand off the main highway frequented primarily by locals."

"My party of 4 spent a week at this lovely condo and can't say enough good things about it! It is located in a quiet gated community within easy walking distance (10 minutes) of the beach, the ferry to Cozumel, and 5th Avenue. We did not rent a car and did not need one as there were plenty of restaurants in walking range. If you do wish to venture further out, cabs are plentiful. The condo is equipped with almost everything you need other than your own clothing and personal items. The pool is beautiful and we had it to ourselves most of the time (except when we were joined by a coatimundi!). The owner has left a notebook in the condo with extensive and valuable information about the local area, including restaurant recommendations, transportation tips, etc. If you're looking for some peace and quiet and aren't afraid of a little walking to reach the main tourist area, this is a great place to stay!"

"Words are hard to describe the serenity, peace and relaxation you feel at Casa Milagro. From the beauty outdoors around the pool, to the fragrance the plants emit in the evening is sublime. The rooftop at sunrise & sunset listening to the birds sing of the beauty around is superb. We were greeted by many animals while outside in the evening also, from a family of racoons, a number of cats(the owner leaves food & we bought more), a few agouti and many birds.
Now onto inside the house, as the other guests have mentioned, no thing is left unattended. The maids, gardener/pool man take care of everything. Have Chef Lynn Marie cook you a fabulous meal, I enjoyed mine on my birthday. Paty picked up some starter items so we'd have breakfast items on hand and there were some cold beers in the fridge to enjoy our first dip in the pool with. Comfort is top notch to allow yourself to ease into vacation mode. Kitchen had all you could ask for and more. Layout of home for privacy is exceptional, as well as, the decor, lighting, and attention to details...bikes, sun chairs, snorkel gear, etc.
We enjoyed the nearby Mayan ruins, it was always cool, comfortable and splendid there with a noble sense and majestic feel, lofty, awe-inspiring. Walking was good for us and we are happy that Casa Milagro is close to everything, yet set back from the hustle and bustle on a not through street on a quiet cul de sac.
All we would like to add is that the owner provide an instruction book for the many items around the house so others may not have to contact Paty as much as we did. :)"
