  • Heaven in Playa car

"this unit met all our expectations. The staff was very attentive and helpful and the restuarants were great and really reasonably priced. The beach beds were the best for lying around in the sun. It was so easy to get around from there and beautiful to walk either on the beach or thru the exclusive residential area of playa car. There is so much to do in the area you will never get bored. Although a little boredom on the beach is kind of special too. We will definitely be back. Barb"

  • Great Location!

"The location of this condo is great! We loved the smaller resort and the beach is beautiful and quiet. It was about a 10-15 minute walk into town - just far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to go every night for dinner. The resort staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the resort restaurants was decent - not great, but fine for an easy lunch. We didn't plan to spend much time in the condo, but it was a little run down and showing wear. The downstairs bedroom's bathroom had no water pressure and the air conditioning didn't seem to work too well in that bedroom at all. Patio is rusting and the condo could use some fresh paint. We spent a lot of money to stay here, and while it was clean, I guess we were hoping for something that wasn't showing as much wear. But if you are looking for great views and a small and cozy resort, this is definitely your place!"

  • Fabulous Property!!!

"We stayed very comfortably for a week at this lovely condo and never got tired of the views we got to wake up to. The weather was hot so we spent alot of time relaxing on the resort loungers on the beach where the breeze kept us cool. From there we would just wade out into that gorgeous turquoise water to hang out and chat while the kids played nearby. The resort staff were friendly, fun and helpful; they got us set up with tons of towels everyday and fins for snorkeling at Akumal, a nearby town, where they take their turtle conservation very seriously. We also traveled down to tour the ruins and town at Tulum which is an easy hop from the condo as well! We walked into town and had some really nice dinners in Playa every night of our stay. The condo was well set up to cook in which we did for breakfasts and lunch; there are many large grocery stores in town or street vendors with food carts which was all really convienent. The kids had a blast playing beach volleyball at the resort and pool games with other guests; everyone seemed to be enjoying their holiday at Fishermans! We certainly did and would highly recommend the condo and resort to anyone considering staying in the area."

  • Great experience and great vacation!!

"We have stayed at the bigger resorts in Play del Carmen, but have become quite fond of Fishermen's. We love the smaller resort atmosphere. Everything is easy to get to and you are never far from the beach. It also a short walk into town for food, drink, and activities. However, this is also available at the resort if you choose to not venture out. The beach is the best! We met several families from other resorts that claimed the beach in the front of Fishermen's was better than at their resort. The resort did have non-motorized water sport equipment for use, such as kayaks, but we preferred to just bob around in the gentle surf. My husband and kids had a good time snorkeling on one of the calmer days. The pool was nice and I appreciated some shaded parts in the pool in the afternoons. The swim up bar was also a great touch. The owner, David was great to work with and made himself available if ever we needed assistance. It was nice to meet him in person after all of the emails sent back and forth leading up to our vacation. It gave us great comfort to know that he was so close and available if we needed anything. The staff at the resort were all friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the air conditioning mid-week and had a prompt response from staff after reporting it. We can't say enough good things about our whole experience and hope to return within the next couple of years. Thanks David!!"
